A LabVIEW-based Video Dehazing using Dark Channel Prior (Dark Channel Prior을 이용한 LabVIEW 기반의 동영상 안개제거)

  • LabVIEW coding for video dehazing was developed. The dark channel prior proposed by K. He was applied to remove fog based on a single image, and K. B. Gibson's median dark channel prior was applied, and implemented in LabVIEW. In other words, we improved the image processing speed by converting the existing fog removal algorithm, dark channel prior, to the LabVIEW system. As a result, we have developed a real-time fog removal system that can be commercialized. Although the existing algorithm has been utilized, since the performance has been verified real - time, it will be highly applicable in academic and industrial fields. In addition, fog removal is performed not only in the entire image but also in the selected area of the partial region. As an application example, we have developed a system that acquires clear video from the long distance by connecting a laptop equipped with LabVIEW SW that was developed in this paper to a 100~300 times zoom telescope.

An Effective Teaching Plan based on the LabVIEW by utilizing the USB type DAQ device (LabVIEW 기반의 USB방식 DAQ장비를 활용한 효과적인 수업 방안)

  • In this paper, we looked around an effective teaching plan base on the LabVIEW by utilizing the USB type DAQ device. Moreover, we have been learning the concept of control and instrumentation engineering through theory and practice classwork in the various field of engineering, come to automation engineering as well as electricity, electronic, telecommunication and computer science. In case of the best learning to understand the concept and operate the practice, we'd like to propose the application technique to make use of the PC based on LabVIEW software with USB type DAQ devices, better than to depend upon the expensive equipment as before. As a result, we hope that this technique to be considered easily accessible to understand anyone and expect distinguished applications.

Optimal Motion Control of 3-axis SCARA Robot Using a Finite Jerk and Gain Tuning Based on $LabVIEW^{(R)}$ ($LabVIEW^{(R)}$ 기반 3축 스카라 로봇의 유한 저크 및 게인 동조를 이용한 최적 모션 제어)

  • This paper presents the optimal motion control for 3-axis SCARA robot by using $LabVIEW^{(R)}$. Specifically, for optimal motion control of 3-axis SCARA robot, we study velocity profile based on finite jerk(the first derivative of acceleration) and optimal gain tunig based on frequency response method by using $LabVIEW^{(R)}$. The velocity optimization with finite jerk aims at generating the smooth velocity profile of robot. Velocity profile based on finite jerk is acquired and applied to 3-axis SCARA robot by using $LabVIEW^{(R)}$. DSA(Dynamic Signal Analyzer) for frequency response method is programed by using $LabVIEW^{(R)}$. We obtain the bode plot of transfer function about 3-axis SCARA robot by using DSA, and perform the gain tuning considering dynamic characteristic based on the bode plot. These experiments have shown that the proposed motion control can reduce vibration displacement and response error rate each 33.7% and 51.7% of 3-axis SCARA robot.

Implementation for Modbus/RTU Protocol Using LabVIEW (LabVIEW를 이용한 Modbus/RTU 프로토콜 구현)

  • Real time processing is important in the industrial field. In this paper, we implement for Modbus/RTU(Remote Terminal Unit) protocol using LabVIEW based on serial communication. In other to obtain the experimental data from torque sense and voltage/current meter, Modbus/RTU protocol is implemented by LabVIEW tool. Mechanical loss can be calculated by torque, RPM, voltage, and current. Source code consist of panel and block diagram. We confirmed these source code can be applied in industrial field.

  • This paper presents an educational program realized through by LabVIEW, which can explore the dependancy of the characteristics of DC-DC converters on their parameter changes By using the proposed LabVIEW program it is easy to understand the operationing principle of DC-DC converter and relationship between variables.

  • Ship system is very complicated. Machine in ship system are in close connection with each other, so one is affected by others. Thus, person who want to be a marine engineer have to study not only each machine but also their relationship. For this, intelligent diagnosis system for advanced education is necessity. In this paper, AMS and failure diagnosis system is developed by using LabVIEW, G programming language.
