This paper describes a method of measuring tilt motion. This method measures the tilt motion of drilling machines using a laser interferometer, a simple sliding linear bearing, measurement of the probe and the LSC(least square center) method. The next order of business is discussing the procedure of measurement. First, The measured position is considered to be the point of contact between the drill shank and the probe. The revolution of the drill axis delivers the point of contact to the probe. Second, because the laser interferometer is attached on the sliding linear bearing, any movement of probe influences laser reflector. Thus, the laser program displays the moving factor of laser reflector. Namely, this is tilt factor. Third. the points of measurement are a full circle which has 8 points (each are 45$^{\circ}$), After it is finished measuring the 8 points, let the spindle of the drilling machine move down about 5 cm. Repeating this procedure three times, we can get tilt motion's values which are calculated by LSC method. Many error factors affect the accurate measurement of tilt motion. However in this paper we ignore some error factors because they are less significant than tilt motion.

Two experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of feeding single or combined probiotics on performance and intestinal microflora of broiler chicks for five weeks. Diets based on corn and soybean meal contained 21.50, 19.0% CP and 3,100, 3,150 kcal/kg ME for starting and finishing period, respectively. Lactobacillus salvarius isolated from chicks intestine(LSC), Lactobacillus salvarius isolated from piglet(LSP) Bacillus polyfermenticus(BP) were fed with alone and mixed ones at the level of 0.21 and 0.1% in experiment 1 and 2. Three hundred eighty four chicks were randomly assigned to eight treatment with four replicates of 12 chicks each per treatment. Weight gain, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio(FCR) were weekly measured for 5 weeks. The number of intestinal microflora was examined at the end of experiment. There were no significant different weight gain of all treatment in both experiments. Feed consumption were not shown consistency. Chicks fed LSC alone showed the lowest feed conversion ratio of all treatment in experiment 1, but was not consistency in experiment 2. The number of Lactobacillus spp. tended to increase in chicks ileum fed probiotics treatments, whereas it was not consistency in cecum. The number of ileal E. coli was not decreased in BP treatment.
Morphological changes of the oviductal epithelium of the rat treated with hormones ($17{\beta}$-estradiol ${\mu}g$/day and progesterone 2.5mg/day) for ten days were observed transmission and scanning electron microscopically. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The cilia formation of ciliary cell(CC) was more accelerated by the treatment of estradiol than progesterone, but the balance of estrogen and progesterone was required for the maintenance of CC. The effect of hormone was different between the segments for the maintenance of CC. 2. The short secretory cell(SSC) was severely inhibited in the formation of secretory granules with single hormonal treatment but the activity of secretion was more inhibited by progesterone than by estradiol. 3. The long secretory cell(LSC) had not a great difference between estradiol and progesterone treatments as compared with the normal sexual cycle, but the formation of secretory granules was somewhat accelerated by progesterone treatment. 4. The formation of secretory granules of junctional cell (JC) was severely accelerated by estradiol treatment as compared with the normal sexual cycle. The formation of secretory granules during progesterone treatment, on the other hand, was inhibited completely, but the numbers of pinocytotic vesicles appeared at the cytoplasmic apical portion. 5. Three types of secretory cells, SSC, LSC and JC, on the rat oviductal epithelium could be suggested to have different cell tapes respectively from the morphological changes by hormone treatment.

Pseudostellaria Pax (Caryophyllaceae) is a small genus distributed in temperate region. It consists of 25 species presenting high diversity in Asia. Pseudostellaria longipedicellata S. Lee, K. Heo & S. C. Kim was first announced as new species in 2012. Morphological characters of P. longipedicellata are closely related to those of Psedusotellaria palibiniana and Psedusotellaria okmotoi. These are distinguished from P. longipedicellata by shorter pedicel and puberulent pedicels, respectively and by being distributed allopatically between P. longipedicellata and rest of species. The complete chloroplast genome of P. longipedicellata was successfully rescued from raw reads generated by HiSeq2000. Its total length is 149,626 bp consisting of four regions: large single copy (LSC) region (81,292 bp), small single copy (SSC) region (16,984bp), and inverted repeats (IRs; 25,765 bp per each). It contained 126 genes (81 coding DNA sequence (CDS), eight rRNAs, and 37 tRNAs); 18 genes (seven CDS, four rRNAs, and seven tRNAs) are duplicated in inverted repeat regions. The overall GC content of P. longipedicellata is 36.5% and in the LSC, SSC, and IR regions were 34.3%, 29.3%, and 42.4%, respectively. Based on phylogenetic analysis of chloroplast genomes of P. longipedicellata and relatives species presents clear phylogenetic positions of Pseudostellaria genus. This chloroplast genome will be an important sequence resources for further researches of Pseudostellaria genus.

Plant chloroplast DNA exists as an unique circular structure in which large single copy(LSC) region and small single copy (SSC) region are separated by large inverted repeat sequences (IRS). It has been known that the unique existence of inverted repeat sequences in chloroplast DNA has no relation with the stability of the chloroplast DNA, but causes the inversion between inverted repeat its biological significance has not been understood so far. In rice, several gene clusters have been cloned and sequenced which contain ribulose-5-biophosphate car-boxylase large subunit (rbcL). Especially, one rbcL gene is linked with rp12 gene which is located in the IRS region in one of the gene clusters. By comparison of nucleotide sequence, the two genes are found to be linked through 151 bp repeat sequence which is homologous to the rp123 gene in IRS region. The repeat sequence is found to be located 3' downstream of rfcL gene and near psbA gene in LSC region. The existence of these repeat sequences and the presence of gene clusters caused by the gene rearrangement thorough the repeat sequence provide a possible which is found to be dispersed chloroplast DNA provide the model system to explaine the heterogeneity of the chloroplast DNA in rice in term of gene rearrangement.
In this study, the recovery rates of the dissolution method for radioactivity analysis of expandable polystyrene (EPS) with a liquid scintillation counter (LSC) using tetrahydrofuran (THF), toluene, and acetone as solvents were estimated. The detection efficiency calibration curve for each solvent was derived. Two methods-the volumetric ratio method and the quenching agent method-were used to prepare quench source sets, and calibration curves were derived by linking the data from the two quench source sets. The R2 value of the calibration curve for THF was found to be 0.984. The relationship between the mass of dissolved EPS and the quench level was estimated: the quench level increased as the mass of dissolved EPS increased. Premix and postmix dissolution methods were tested. The recovery rates using THF with the premix method were 84.9 ± 0.9% and 96.5 ± 1.5% for 3H and 14C, respectively. Furthermore, the stability of the recovery rate over time when using THF was evaluated. The dissolution method with the premixed solution exhibited a more stable recovery rate over time. The dissolution methods were found to be applicable for analysis using LSC, and THF was found to be the most suitable solvent for the proposed method.
Tritium was extracted from tritium-contaminated aluminum samples by heating it in a high-temperature furnace at 200, 300, or 400 ℃ for 15 h. The extracted tritium was analyzed by using a liquid scintillation counter (LSC); the sample thicknesses were 0.4 and 2 mm. The differences in tritium extraction over time were also investigated by cutting aluminum stick samples into several pieces (1, 5, 10, and 15) with the same thickness, and subsequently heating them. The results revealed that there are most of the hydrated material based on tritium on the surface of aluminum. When the temperature was increased from 200 or 300 ℃-400 ℃, there are no large differences in the heating duration required for the radioactivity concentration to be lower than the MDA value. Additionally, at the same thickness, because the surface of aluminum is only contaminated to tritiated water, cutting the aluminum samples into several pieces (5, 10, and 15) did not have a substantial effect on the tritium extraction fraction at any of the applied heating temperatures (200, 300, or 400 ℃). The proportion of each tritium-release materials (aluminum hydrate based on tritium) were investigated via diverse analyses (LSC, XRD, and SEM-EDS).

Corylopsis Siebold & Zucc. (Hamamelidaceae) is widely used for horticultural plant and comprise ca. 25 species in East Asia (1 species in Korea; 4 species in Japan; 20 species in China). Previous revisions have gone from 7 to more than 30 species, causing confusion in the nursery industry and public gardens. Due to morphological similarity within Corylopsis, molecular research is needed to distinguish it. In this study, the chloroplast genome of C. gotoana and C. pauciflora distributed in Japan was completed by using NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) technique. The genome size of C. gotoana and C. pauciflora were 159,434 bp (large single-copy (LSC): 88,164 bp; small single-copy (SSC): 18,702 bp; inverted repeat regions (IRs): 26,284 bp) and 159,363 bp (LSC: 88,097 bp; SSC: 18,700 bp; IRs: 26,283 bp), respectively. In addition, we investigated the repeats, SNPs, and indels, and that could be used as DNA markers. Phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that C. pauciflora was sister to C. gotoana and C. spicata. The genus Corylopsis is a monophyletic group and Loropetalum is closely related to Corylopsis. The results of our study will provide the basic data necessary for the analysis of the species identification markers and genetic diversity within the genus Corylopsis in the future.
The efficiency and applicability of the solid phase extraction disk method in a 226Ra analysis were examined by the gamma ray spectrometer (GRS) method using a Marinelli beaker and the liquid scintillation counter (LSC) method for groundwater. The recovered 226Ra, which was filtered by the solid phase extraction disk, was analyzed using gamma ray spectrometer The disks, which were pretreated for caulking the daughter nuclide, were sealed with polyethylene film. Distilled water was used for the blank value of the 226Ra activity. The recovery values of 214Bi and 214Pb in the solid phase extraction disk, which used 226Ra standard material, were 80% (295.21 Kev) and 104% (351.92 Kev), respectively, which were higher than 75% determined by the LSC. The injection of nitrogen gas into the measuring chamber reduced the interference values by about 10%. The detection limits of the 226Ra activity in a blank sample of 5 L were 0.17~0.40 pCi/L after 80,000 seconds of measuring time. The relationship of the 226Ra activity in the solid phase extraction disk method and in the LSC method in seven groundwater samples showed a correlation coefficient value 0.987, which implies the applicability of the solid phase extraction disk method. The results showed that 226Ra activity in groundwater using the solid phase extraction disk method has the following benefits: simple pretreatment, time saving, high recovery values, a low detection limit, and so on. Compared with the LSC method and the GRS method using the Marinelli beaker for the 226Ra analysis, the solid phase extraction disk method could be useful in groundwater samples with low levels of activities of radionuclides because the method is not restricted by the volume of the sample.
In this paper, we measured the variations of radon concentrations in groundwater using low-level Liquid Scintillation Counter (LSC), an instrument for analyzing the alpha and beta radionuclides at its 10 sites around the Kumjung-Gu, north-western of Busan. Optimization of Pulse Shape Analyzer (PSA) to determinate the highest value of figure of merit (FM) was decided using Quantulus 1200 LSC with radium-226 source, the optimal PSA level was shown in the range of 100 to 110. The results show that the Minimum Detectable Activity (MDA) of radon concentrations is 0.61 $Bq{\cdot}L^{-1}$ for 20 minutes in PSA level. We find that the average radon concentration in groundwater is high in granitic rock area and low in volcanic rock area. (Biotite granite : 191.39 $Bq{\cdot}L^{-1}$, Micro graphic granite : 141.88 $Bq{\cdot}L^{-1}$, Adamellite : 92.94 $Bq{\cdot}L^{-1}$, Andesite (volcanic) : 35.35 $Bq{\cdot}L^{-1}$). No significant seasonal variation pattern is observed from the long-term variation analysis from 10 selected sites. We have not seen the significant correlation of radon concentration to groundwater temperature, atmospheric temperature, atmospheric pressure and rainfall. The concentration variation is probably caused by more complex factors and processes.
