A Comparative Analysis between Rigorous and Approximate Approaches for LiDAR System Calibration

  • LiDAR systems provide dense and accurate topographic information. A pre-requisite to achieving the potential accuracy of LiDAR is having a proper system calibration, which aims at estimating all the systematic errors in the system measurements and the mounting parameters relating the different components. This paper presents a rigorous and two approximate methods for LiDAR system calibration. The rigorous approach makes use of the LiDAR equation and the system raw measurements. The approximate approaches utilize simplified LiDAR equations using some assumptions, which allow for less strict requirements regarding the raw measurements. The first presented approximate method, denoted as quasi-rigorous, assumes that we are dealing with a vertical platform (i.e., small pitch and roll angles). This method requires time-tagged point cloud and trajectory position data. The second approximate method, denoted as simplified, assumes that we are dealing with parallel strips, vertical platform, and minor terrain elevation variations compared to the flying height above ground. Such method can be performed using the LiDAR point cloud only. Experimental results using a real dataset, whose characteristics deviate to some extent from the utilized assumptions in the approximate methods, are presented to provide a comparative analysis of the outcome from the introduced methods.

Effect of Li Addition on the Microwave Dielectric Properties of $MgTiO_{3}-CaTiO_{3}$ Ceramic Dielectrics (Li을 첨가한 $MgTiO_{3}-CaTiO_{3}$계 세라믹 유전체의 마이크로파 유전특성)

  • 마이크로파용 세라믹 유전체로 사용되는 MgTiO$_3$-CaTiO$_3$계 유전체에 Li을 첨가하여 이때 얻어지는 마이크로파 유전특성과 소결특성에 대하여 알아보았다. 94MgTiO$_3$-6CaTiO$_3$으로 주조성을 고정시키고 여기에 Li$_2$CO$_3$를 Li원자 기준으로 0 ~ 10 mol% 범위 안에서 첨가하여 1200~140$0^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 4시간 소결하였다. Li의 첨가량이 적을 때에는 유전체의 품질계수와 유전상수가 모두 감소하였으나 약 lmol% 이상 되면 다시 증가하였으며, 이후 첨가량이 과도해지면 다시 서서히 감소하는 경향을 볼 수 있었다. 1.0 ~ 3.0 mol%의 첨가량 범위 안에서 Li은 MgTiO$_3$-CaTiO$_3$계 유전체의 품질계수를 증가시켜주는 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다 1.5mol%의 Li을 첨가하고 1275$^{\circ}C$에서 4시간 소결한 시편에서 유전상수는($\varepsilon$$_{r}$) 20.0, Qf는 78,000 그리고 공진주파수 온도계수($\tau$$_{f}$)는 -1.6ppm/$^{\circ}C$의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.다.

  • Objectives : To study acupuncture and moxibution treatments for stomatopathy( aphthae, oral ulceration, mycolic stomatitis, halitosis, thirst, bitter) the ancient and the present literatures were reviewed. Methods : We've got compared and analyzed 55 kinds of literatures. Results and Conclusions : 1. The acupuncture meridians used frequently for stomatopathy were $Su-yangmy\bar{o}ng-Taejang-ky\bar{o}ng(LI),\;Chok-yangmy\bar{o}ng-Wi-Ky\bar{o}ng(S),\;Immaek-Ky\bar{o}ng(CV)$. 2. The acupoints used frequently for aphthae were $Sungjang(CV_{24}),\;Yomchon(CV_{23}),\;Hapkok(LI_4),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Hyopko(S_6),\;Sugu(GV_{26})$. 3. The acupoints used frequently for oral ulceration were $Hapkok(LI_4),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Kokchi(LI_{11}),\;Sotaek(SI_1),\;Pisu(B_{20}),\;Wisu(B_{21}),\;Samgan(LI_3),\;Yomchon(CV_{23}),\;Chichang(S_4)$. 4. The acupoints used frequently for mycolic stomatitis were $Hapkok(L_4),\;Chichang(S_4),\;Hyopko\;(LI_4),\;Sungjang(CV_{24}),\;Samumgyo(SP_6)$. 5. The acupoints used frequently for halitosis were $Naejong(S_{44}),\;Chok-samni(S_{36}),\;Chung-wan\;(CV_{12}),\;Sang-wan(CV_{13}),\;Hawan(CV_{10}),\;Kongson(SP_4),\;Wisu(B_{21}),\;Nogung(P_8),\;Sugu(GV_{26}),\;Sungjang(CV_{24})$. 6. The acupoints used frequently for thirst were $Sosang(L_{11}),\;Sangyang(LI_1),\;Sotaek(SI_1),\;Kwanch'ung(TE_1),\;Ch'\bar{o}kt'aek(L_5),\;T'ae-gye(K_3),\;Kokt'aek(P_3),\;Sugu(GV_{26}),\;Samgan(LI_3),\;Igan(LI_2),\;T'aech'ung(Liv_3),\;Sojangsu(B_{27})$. 7. The acupoints used frequently for bitter were $Yangn\bar{u}ngch'\bar{o}n(G_{34}),\;Hy\bar{o}njong(G_{39}),\;Kwanch'ung(TE_1),\;Tamsu(B_{19}),\;Chokkyu\bar{u}m(G_{44}),\;Y\bar{o}n-gok(K_2),\;Shinmun(H_7),\;Chok-Samni(S_{36})$.

  • Two wave mixing experiments in $LiNbO_3$, $BaTiO_3$ are carried out, and the characteristics as optical information processing device are investigated. Examined crystals are commonly used ones, such as 0.03% mol Ce-doped $BaTiO_3$, 0.03% mol Fe-doped $LiNbO_3$, and 6% mol MgO-doped $LiNbO_3$. $Ar^+$ ion laser is used as the writing beam, and He-Ne Laser is used as the reading beam. The recording-decay and erasing characteristics of diffraction gratings, the time constants, and also the angular selectivities are measured for each crystals and compared.

Amorphous Lithium Lanthanum Titanate Solid Electrolyte Grown on LiCoO2 Cathode by Pulsed Laser Deposition for All-Solid-State Lithium Thin Film Microbattery (전고상 리튬 박막 전지 구현을 위해 펄스 레이저 증착법으로 LiCoO2 정극위에 성장시킨 비정질 (Li, La)TiO3고체 전해질의 특성)

  • To make the all-solid-state lithium thin film battery having less than 1 fm in thickness, LiCoO$_2$ thin films were deposited on Pt/TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$/Si substrate as a function of Li/Co mole ratio and the deposition temperature by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). Especially, LiCoO$_2$ thin films deposited at 50$0^{\circ}C$ with target of Li/Co=1.2 mole ratio show an initial discharge capacity of 53 $\mu$Ah/cm$^2$-$\mu$m and capacity retention of 67.6%. The microstructural and electrochemical properies of (Li, La)TiO3 thin films grown on LiCoO$_2$Pt/TiO$_2$/SiO$_2$/Si structures by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) were investigated at various deposition temperatures. The thin films grown at 10$0^{\circ}C$ show an initial discharge capacity of approximately 51 $\mu$Ah/cm$^2$-$\mu$m and moreover show excellent discharge capacity retention of 90% after 100 cycles. An amorphous (Li, La)TiO$_3$ solid electrolyte is possible for application to solid electrolyte for all-solid-state lithium thin film battery below 1 $\mu$m.

  • Li ion전지용 LiMn$_{2}$O$_{4}$분말을 졸-겔법과 고상반응법으로 제조하여 분말의 특성과 전지의 특성을 비교하였다. 졸-겔법에 의해 제조된 LiMn$_{2}$O$_{4}$분말은 고상반응법에 의해 제조된 분말보다 낮은 온도에서 합성이 가능하고, 균질하고 작은 입자들로 구성되었으며, Li stoichiometry가 우수하여 전지의 방전용량이 크나 양이온 혼합도가 높아 전지의 내부저항이 크게 나타났다. 졸-겔법은 높은 Li stoichiometry와 균질한 입자 크기를 갖는 LiMn$_{2}$O$_{4}$분말 제조에 적당한 것으로 생각되며, 전지의 내부저항 문제는 분말의 하소온도와 냉각속도의 조절에 의해 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Separation of Lithium Isotopes by Tetraazamacrocycles Tethered to Merrifield Peptide Resin

  • Tetraazamacrocyclic ion exchangers tethered to Merrifield peptide resin (DTDM, TTTM) were prepared and the ion exchange capacity of these was characterized. The isotope separation of lithium was determined using breakthrough method of column chromatography. The isotope separation coefficient was strongly dependent on the ligand structure by Glueckauf's theory. We found that the isotope separation coefficients were increased as the values of distribution coefficients were increased. In this experiment the lighter isotope, 6Li was enriched in the resin phase, while the heavier isotope, 7Li in the solution phase. The ion radius of lighter isotope, 6Li was shorter than the heavier isotope, 7Li. The hydration number of lithium ion with the same charge became small as mass number was decreased. Because 6Li was more strongly retained in the resin than 7Li, the isotopes of lithium were separated with subsequent enrichment in the resin phase.
