This paper describes the effects of chip arrangement configurations and the dimension of a reflecting cup upon the light output characteristics of a white lamp composed of RGB LED chips. As a result of simulation, the shorter distance between adjacent chips leads to a relative decrease in the light output efficiency due to inter-chip absorption of quanta, but rather uniform color mixing is expected. Among the factors of designing a reflecting cup it is the tilt angle of the cup wall that plays a determining role upon the variation of the light distribution. The light distribution shows a sudden change of pattern from Lambertian to Batwing at about $35^{\circ}{\sim}40^{\circ}$ of tilt angle in case of a silver-coated wall cup.
In the normally, exit sign is always lighting on status by the connected to normal electrical source. So, there are happened to rise of the economical cost such as power consumption, maintenances and repair replacement of lamp etc. This paper are study on the new exit sign circuits by using high efficiency LED that is available for remote control and reduceible to power consumption, maintenance cost by the way of compensation fluorescent and incandescent lamps. As a results on the study, exit sign lamp is capable of control and supervisory in trigger angle by the remote control switch, widely and easily. And then, the response time was very fast in 600〔$\mu$s〕and also it can be find that the rising and fall time of oscillate circuit is maximum 200〔ns〕 as high sensitively. Finally, it obtain to the result that reducible of electrical power consumption and not required for replacement of lamp by using the high efficiency LED lighting source.
We have synthesized a $Eu^{2+}-activated\;{(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_4$ yellow phosphor and investigated the development of blue LEDs by combining the phosphor with a InGaN blue LED chip (${\lambda}_{em}$=405 nm). The InGaN-based ${(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_{4}:Eu$ LED lamp shows two bands at 405 nm and 550 nm. The 405 nm emission band is due to a radiative recombination from a InGaN active layer. This 405 nm emission was used as an optical transition of the ${(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_{4}:Eu$ phosphor. The 550 nm emission band is ascribed to a radiative recombination of $Eu^{2+}$ impurity ions in the ${(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_4$ host matrix. In the preparation of UV Yellow LED Lamp with ${(Sr,Ba)}_2SiO_{4}:Eu$ yellow phosphor, the highest luminescence efficiency was obtained at the epoxy-to-yellow phosphor ratio of 1:0.45. At this ratio, the CIE chromaticity was x=0.4097 and y=0.5488.

The aim of this study was to investigate the amount of glucosinolates (GSLs) in kale sprouts (Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala) ('TBC') according to different concentrations of sulfur ions in sprout's nutrient solutions (0.0, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 mM) and to different light sources [Fluorescent lamp, Red, Blue, and Mix (R+B) LED]. Kale sprouts were cultivated in a growth chamber for 13 days in sulfur solutions. Kale sprouts were treated with fluorescent lamp and LED light sources for 5 days, from eight days after sowing to harvest. Amount of seven types of GSLs (progoitrin, sinigrin, 4-hydroxyglucobrassicin, glucobrassicin, 4-methoxyglucobrassicin, gluconasturtiin, and neoglucobrassicin) were measured in kale sprouts after harvest. The total GSL content was influenced by different sulfur solution concentration, and it was the highest at S 0.5 mM ($172.54{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}DW$) and the lowest at S 2.0 mM ($163.09{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}DW$). The GSL content was influenced by different light source, and it was the highest with Red LED ($159.23{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}DW$) and the lowest with Blue LED ($147.57{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}DW$). As the sulfur solution concentration increased under all light source, progoitrin and sinigrin contents tended to decrease while glucobrassicin content showed an upward tendency for all of the light sources. The content of glucobrassicin was higher than that of progitrin when treated with sulfur solutions for all LED light sources. Sinigrin, which has excellent anti-cancer effects, showed the highest rate (92.2%) among all the GSLs, under all of the light sources.

Automatic vehicle detection is a very important function for autonomous vehicles. Conventional vehicle detection approaches are based on visible-light images obtained from cameras mounted on a vehicle in the daytime. However, unlike daytime, a visible-light image is generally dark at night, and the contrast is low, which makes it difficult to recognize a vehicle. As a feature point that can be used even in the low light conditions of nighttime, the rear lamp is virtually unique. However, conventional rear lamp-based detection methods seldom cope with atypical lamps, such as LED lamps, or flashing turn signals. In this paper, we detect atypical lamps by blurring the lamp area with a low pass filter (LPF) to make out the lamp shape. We also propose to detect flickering of the turn signal lamp in a manner such that the lamp area is vertically projected, and the maximum difference of two paired lamps is examined. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has a higher F-measure value of 0.24 than the conventional lamp pairing-based detection methods, on average. In addition, the proposed algorithm shows a fast processing time of 6.4 ms per frame, which verifies real-time performance of the proposed algorithm.

This experiment was carried out using artificial bed soil and LED in the plastic film house(irradiation time: 07:00-17:00/day). Seedlings(n=63 per 3.3 m2) of ginseng was planted on May 17, 2018. LED was combined with red and blue light in a 3:1 ratio and irradiated with different light intensity(40-160 µmol/m2/s). Average air temperature from April to September according to the light intensity test was 20.4℃-20.9℃. Average artificial bed soil temperature was 20.1℃-21.7℃. The test area where fluorescent lamp was irradiated tended to be somewhat lower than the LED irradiation area. The chemical properties of the test soil was as follows. pH levels was 6.6-6.7, EC levels 0.9-1.3 dS/m and OM levels 30.6-32.0%. The available P2O5 contents was 73.3-302.3 mg/kg. Exchangeable cations K and Ca contents were higher than the allowable ranges and mg content was high in the fluorescent lamp treatment. The photometric characteristics of LED light intensity are as follows. The greater the light intensity, the higher the PPFD(Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) value, illuminance and solar irradiation. Fluorescent lamp treatment had high illuminance value, but PPFD and solar irradiation were lower than LED intensity 40 µmol/m2/s treatment. The photosynthetic rate increased(2.0-3.8 µmolCO2/m2/s) as the amount of light intensity increased, peaking at 120 µmol/m2/s, and then decreasing. The SPAD (chlorophyll content) value decreased as the amount of light intensity increased, and was the highest at 36.1 in fluorescent lamp treatment. Ginseng germination started on April 5 and took 14-17 days to germinate. The overall germination rate was 68.8-73.6%. The growth of aerial parts(plant height etc.) were generally excellent in the treatment of light intensity of 120-160 µmol/m2/s. The plant height was 41.9 cm, stem length was 24.1 cm, leaf length was 9.8 cm and stem diameter was 5.6 mm. The growth of underground part (root length etc.) was the best in the treatment with 120 µmol/m2/s of light intensity. Due to the root length was long(24.8 cm) and diameter of taproot was thick(18.7 mm), the fresh root weight was the heaviest at 24.8 g. There were no disease incidence such as Alternaria blight, Gray mold and Anthracnose. Disease of Damping-off caused by Rhizoctonia solani occurred 0.6-1.5% and incidence ratio of rusty root ginseng was 30.8-62.3%. It is believed that the reason for the high incidence of rusty root ginseng is that the amount of field moisture capacity of artificial bed soil is larger than the soil. Leaf discoloration rate was 13.7-32.3%.

Since the first lighting light source was invented, lighting has turned into superior-quality lighting considering the amenity of occupants, and the characteristics of a light source has developed rapidly. So this research confirmed the lighting performance of a dimmer control system and an ON-OFF control system via the existing light source, and analyzed the basic lighting environment of Permanent Supplementary Artificial Lighting of Interiors(PSALI) through the physical comparison and evaluation of a LED lamp substituted for a fluorescent lamp used in a dimmer control system, showing that the lighting physical quantity characteristics of an ON-OFF control system and a dimmer control system are similar to each other and that they are effective in terms of energy saving. Besides, it was shown that introducing a LED light source to a dimmer control system improves lighting environments and largely reduces energy consumption.
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different light sources on the levels of glucosinolates (GSLs) in rocket salad (Eruca sativa L.). The light sources used in the study were: natural light (Control-1 or 2), red light-emitting diodes(LEDs), blue LEDs, mixed red and blue LEDs (R+B LEDs), white LEDs, fluorescent lamps (FL), and fluorescent lamps plus UV-C (FL+UV-C). Two separate experiments were conducted [Experiment I: Control-1, Red LED, Blue LED, Mix (R+B) LED and Experiment II: Control-2, White LED, FL, FL+UV-C] because of the limited number of growth chambers in our laboratory. The rate of increase in the length of rocket salad leaves was the highest under red LEDs and, FL confirming that red LED and, FL affect the growth of rocket salad. We separated and identified seven types of GSLs from the rocket salad:glucoraphanin, diglucothiobeinin, glucoerucin, glucobrassicin, dimeric 4-mercaptobutyl GSL, 4-methoxyglucobrassicin, and gluconasturtiin. The highest total GSL contents in Eexperiment I was found in plants grown under in red LEDs ($4.30{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}\;dry$ weight, DW), and the lowest under blue LEDs ($0.17{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}\;DW$). The highest total GSL contents in Experiment II was found in plants grown under FL ($13.45{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}\;DW$), and the lowest in FL+UV-C ($0.39{\mu}mol{\cdot}g^{-1}\;DW$). Especially in Experiment II, the content of dimeric 4-mercaptobutyl, which has a strong aroma and spicy flavor in rocket salad, was higher under FL and white LEDs than in Control-2, increasing by approximately 14.9 and 3.2-fold respectively. Therefore, light sources such as red LEDs, white LEDs and FL affected the accumulation of GSLs in rocket salad.

The effects of different kinds of supplementary lighting or heating lamps on the yield, cut flower life, and leaf color of cut rose were compared and analyzed. For this purpose, light emitting diode lamp (LED), metal halide lamps (MH), and high-pressure sodium lamps (HPS) as the supplementary lamps, and carbon fiber infrared lamp (NCFI) were installed on hydroponic cultivation bed in a cut rose farm. The yield of cut flower rose and the number of marketable flowers were greatly increased in spring and autumn by HPS treatment, but not in winter. The length of flower stalk was longer than that of control in the spring but decreased in winter. It seemed likely that the shorter flower stalk in winter was due to the shortened period of vegetative growth compared to the control because flowering was promoted by supplementary lighting. Vase life was not different among treatments in the autumn when the lighting time was short, but in winter, it was prolonged to 3 more days by only HPS, compared with the control. Leaf color was significantly affected by light treatment in winter rather than autumn. Leaf color was darkened in all supplementary lamps (LED, MH, HPS) treatment, whereas NCFI was similar to the control in leaf color. In conclusion, HPS is considered to be a very good supplementary lamp because it increases the length of flower stalk and the yield and prolongs vase life in cut roses. Even though NCFI could function as a heating lamp radiating a lot of heat, it was considered that the role as a supplementary light is unsatisfactory because the number of marketable flowers decreases and the quality index of cut rose deteriorates by NCFI.
In previous studies, we selected the green LED(light emitting diodes) for suitable wavelength of the light by higher commercial yields and lower ratio of the abnormal fruit body in Lentinula edodes. In this study, we aimed to select efficient irradiation intensity of the green LED. Stronger irradiation intensity of the green LED resulted in more polyphenol content of fruit body. And Polyphenol content of fluorescent lamp was similar to that of the green LED $20umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$.. Ergosterol content of the green LED $5umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ was showed higher 2.1 times than that of the fluorescent lamp. In four level of irradiation intensity, 5, 10, 15, $20umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ there was no big difference in characteristics of the fruit body. However the yield of fruit body in the green LED $5umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ is higher than the others. In addition, The amount of electricity used of the green LED $5umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ was reduced 15.9% than that of the fluorescent lamp. In conclusion, we selected $5umol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ for suitable irradiation intensity in Lentinula edodes with sawdust substrate cultivation.
