가로등 회로 손상 선별 장치 개발 (Development of Selecting Equipment for Damage of Street Lamp Circuit)

  • 본 연구는 현재 사용되고 있는 가로등 회로의 손상을 선택적으로 점검하기 위한 다이오드를 개발하였다. 개발된 가로등 진단기는 LED 표시 체계의 점등 유무를 파악하여 선택적으로 점검할 수 있으며, 가로등이 점등되지 않을 경우 어느 부분에 고장이 발생했는지 LED 소등의 관계로 표시 할 수 있다. 회로는 PCB 기판을 제작하여 가로등 개별단의 고장점 위치를 확인할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • In this paper, the optical properties of the 54[W] LED module have confirmed by changing the angles of LED modules for street light applications. The angle of LED module changed from the $0[^{\circ}]$ to $60[^{\circ}]$ varying by $20[^{\circ}]$ as horizontal direction ${\ominus}_1$. Morever, the angle of LED module changed from the $0[^{\circ}]$ to $15[^{\circ}]$ varying by $5[^{\circ}]$ as vertical direction ${\ominus}_2$. As a result of simulation, the average illumination was about 17[lux] and the overall illuminance uniformity was 0.29 for a 10.39[m] long and 6[m] wide illuminance area at height of 6[m], which is acceptable for street lighting illumination in the Illuminating Engineering Society(IES) standard.

  • In this paper, to expand the use of standalone street lights, an algorithm for controlling LED energy consumption was proposed. The proposed method uses an LED module of a standalone street light divided into n zones. This is a method of reducing total power consumption by preventing the increase in power consumption due to high heat generation by weakly operating the entire LED according to the illuminance. When the amount of sunlight decreases, the whole LED operates weakly and then brightens, and unlike streetlight that act as streetlight, a method of dividing LEDs by area and limiting the number of LEDs operating according to illumination intensity was proposed. This is a way to use a lot of time with limited battery capacity by reducing the generation of heat that consumes the most power in streetlight. It is also a method of continuously changing the initial usage area to improve the total usage time of the LED substrate. As a result of the experiment, it was found that the proposed method extends the service time because it generates less heat than the conventional stand-alone streetlight.

두 가지 배광을 갖는 LED 횡단보도 조명장치에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Novel LED Lighting Fixture for Crosswalk Having Two Different Light Distributions)

  • Recently, LED lighting fixtures for crosswalk become popular in order to recognize the pedestrians at crosswalk, which can enhance the safety of the pedestrian at crosswalk. However, there are several problems related to the LED lighting fixtures for crosswalk, such as a lot of energy consumption due to a constant illumination during night and glaring of pedestrians at the opposite side of crosswalk. In this study, in order to overcome these problems, we have investigated a novel LED lighting fixture for crosswalk, which has two modules with different angles ($60^{\circ}$, $120^{\circ}$). Illuminance of min and max at four-line city street crosswalk shown 50 Lux, 125 Lux, respectively. Illuminance of min and max at eight-line city street crosswalk shown 150 Lux, 200 Lux, respectively. Simulation investigation was optimized design using optical program. Prototype was verified measurement by goniometer system.

  • This paper presents the development of LED street light lamp which is controled by central command system. This system includes a lamp unit controller, data repeater and command repeater as well as the LED lamps. These devices enable the individual power control and partial on/off control of the LED lamps by the control repeater through full duplex communication line. Also, they have the ability to control the brightness and period of on/off timing by detecting the car's existence. As a result of this development, it is founded that the performances of the system have been satisfied to apply for the actual road test.

100 W급 LED 보안 등기구용 비대칭 배광의 2차 렌즈 설계 (Secondary Optics Design of Dissymmetrical Light Distribution for 100 W LED Safety Luminaires)

  • This paper has studied dissymmetrical light distribution design using the secondary optics in the simulation. fundamental Lambertian radiation distribution based on LED has been cut off by the secondary optics, and the first surface slope of lens and second surface slope of total reflection area have been calculated through formula. PMMA (the index of refraction: 1.49361) which is material of lens has been selected. critical angle($42.02993^{\circ}$) between Air and PMMA has been calulated by snell's law, and total reflection angle slope has been selected about $16.67^{\circ}$ to occur the total reflection. when the first surface slope and the second surface slope has been set up, Rays of all total reflection area have generated the total reflection. finally, designed LED Module has been estimated by Korean Industrial Standards for LED safety street lighting. dissymmetrical light distribution have been analyzed with reached effect of road illuminance, and average road illuminance which are each 70.6 lx, 40.35 lx, and 25.88 lx have been satisfied with Korean Industrial Standards for LED safety street lighting.

  • As inexhaustible clean energy, solar energy will be the most ideal green energy in the 21st century. The effective method to convert solar energy into electrical energy is by solar photovoltaic power generation technologies. LED Emitting Diode is a kind of component which can transform electricity into visible light. As the smart current control system for photovoltaic street lights, the proposed system has improved the battery charging and discharging mechanism to extend the lifespan and effectively controls the LED discharge current according to battery charge state and lighting.

빛 공해 방지를 위한 유럽형 LED 가로등용 비구면 광학계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Aspheric Optics European LED Streetlights Type for the Prevention of Light Pollution)

  • In this study, we researched a pendant-type aspherical optical system, which could be applied to street lighting and security lighting in Europe. The goal of this research was eco-friendly artificial lighting that could be used for the one-to-one replacement of ordinary lighting. LED lighting was miniaturized by using one COB LED Module and one aspherical optical system, which could control the luminosity of the LED. Through the aspherical optical system, the light distribution angle could be controlled in a range of $140^{\circ}$ for the X-axis and $40^{\circ}$ for the Y-axis. This means that this optical system is appropriate for catenary-type lighting, which is widely used in Europe on both narrow and broad roads. The performance was determined using a lighting simulation program. This lighting system simulation showed that road rates M4 and M5 could be satisfied, with the condition of a 13-m height and 50-m distance (U0 and TI). The simulation program estimated that light pollution, which disturbs sleep, could beeliminated in the European streetlight case. Determining methods for the light distribution control, performance, and optimal lighting setup conditions is very important to prevent light pollution. Moreover, the initial step of developing the lighting system design and post management will require an effort with much analysis.

  • This paper had analyzed property of LED chip which has appropriate distribution and had designed modeling in order to experiment optical property of LED module through simulation. also throughout error value between street light and simulation data, precisive simulation could be inferred. as a consequent, transformation of optical property had henceforth verified the first value of module array.

기상예보를 이용한 태양광 LED 가로등의 효율적 운용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Management of Solar Powered LED Street Lamp Using Weather forecast)

  • 본 논문에서는 가로등 운용에 있어서 일기예보 및 일조량을 고려한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 이 알고리즘에 의해 생성된 Weather Factor를 적용하여 보행자가 있을 시에는 가로등의 광량을 최대로 유지하고 보행자가 없을 경우 최대전력을 사용하지 않고 일정한 밝기를 유지하는 대기전력모드를 사용하여 전력소비를 줄였다. 이렇게 함으로써 배터리의 잔량을 확보할 수 있으며 이를 이용하여 부조일이 지속될 경우 운용일수를 최대한 연장하기 위한 적절한 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한 이러한 알고리즘에 필요한 Weather Factor의 값을 실험을 통하여 결정하였으며. 모의실험을 통해 알고리즘의 적합성을 확인하였다.
