Electro-optical Characteristics of LED Flat Light Source in Low Temperature Condition (LED 평판조명의 저온환경에서의 전기광학특성)

  • Recently, LCD (liquid crystal display) industry is needed to goods of high reliability and wide range temperature condition and it is interested in products for extremely cold condition without failure of light-up. In this experiment, we made the LED backlight unit for Automotive-navigation under the extremely cold condition. And for making this backlight unit, we used to eight side emitting type white LEDs with 3W high power LED. We could know that this backlight unit releases to 18,000 nit in 24W power consumption and start up voltage time is under the 1ms in the ambient temperature at -40.

  • In comparison with some other light sources, LED has merits such as long lifetime, pollution free, and high energy efficiency. Lately, due to development of LED with high brightness and capacity, LED, which has been applied in display system only, has applied in the field of lighting system. Driving current of power LED has to be controlled below the designed value. In this paper, half-bridge LLC series resonant converter, which has the current limiting function, has been described. Half-bridge LLC series resonant converter allows in relatively wide input voltage and output load range when compared to the other resonant converter. Also, it is possible to reduce a magnetic component, because leakage inductance of transformer is used as a resonant inductance. It has been validated by designing and testing 200[W] half-bridge LLC converter of DC24[V] output voltage for LED lamp driver, which includes a current limiting function and power factor correction(PFC) function.

  • 본 논문에는 Flyback컨버터의 PWM방식과 조명용 LED 구동장치의 디밍에 의한 조명제어를 제안한다. 제안된 LED 구동회로는 Flyback 컨버터를 이용하여 교류 입력 전원을 직류 출력전원으로 변환되는 과정을 이해한다. 포터커플러의 역할과 그 Feedback원리 그리고 PWM방식으로 IC를 직접 제어하여 버스트 디밍을 구현하고 LED의 밝기 밝기 조절 및 불필요한 전력낭비를 예방하는데 목적을 두었다.

  • 가시광 무선통신 시스템은 LED 전류를 데이터 신호에 따라 제어하여, 기존의 LED 조명장치를 통신 수단으로 사용 가능하기 때문에 차세대 통신 수단으로 주목 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 가시광 무선통신 시스템을 위한 전류원 구동 LED 드라이버를 제안한다. 제안된 LED 드라이버는 컨버터의 전류원을 이용하고 LED와 병렬 연결된 스위치 소자를 스위칭 구동방식으로 제어함으로써, 기존의 선형 구동방식보다 전력손실 및 발열을 크게 개선하여 대용량의 LED 조명장치에 적용할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 제안 회로의 가시광 무선통신 시스템 구현을 통해 제안된 LED 드라이버의 우수성 및 이론적 해석의 타당성을 검증한다.

  • 본 논문은 조명용 LED 구동 장치를 위한 새로운 방식의 Two-stage LED 구동 회로를 제안한다. 제안된 회로는 PFC Flyback 회로의 다중 출력을 이용하여 LED 구동 회로에 사용된 소자의 내압 저하가 가능하고, 기존의 Two-stage LED 구동 회로에 비해 높은 효율을 갖는다. 제안된 회로는 Universal Input에서 25W 이상 조명 장치에 적용되는 IEC61000-3-2 Class C 규제를 만족하고, Digital Dimming을 사용하여 넓은 범위의 휘도 조절이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 제안 회로의 동작 원리를 설명하고, 시뮬레이션 및 LED에 실제 적용 실험하여 제안 회로의 유용성을 입증하였다.

  • In the present work, numerical analyses of broadcasting LED light with ion wind generator have been carried out for enhancement of cooling performance. Ion wind generator is produced and experimented before analysis. With the use of result of experiments, broadcasting LED light model is computed. Ion wind velocity into LED light is varied with 0~3 m/s. Based on the numerical results, the area of duct-type ion wind generator was designed to reduce the volume flow rate of ion wind. The modified inlet geometry shows sufficient cooling capability. And, through modified ion wind generator, the volume flow rate of ion wind has been largely reduced.

  • In this paper, did numerical simulation to confirm LED module for lighting and protection against heat special quality of heat sink device. Analysis was gone dividing on case that emitting light side turns normalcy department considering that eat of device according to usage and case that turn down looking being street lamp of 200 W or security appointment lighting device analysis case, and also, volume of thermal element divides on big case and small case and analyzed. Confirmed that can do so that may discharge LED's thermal value to outside enough in analysis wave and current heat sink shape, and investigated that difference of protection against heat performance according to position of device and size of thermal element appears.

등부표의 야간 시인성을 높이는 태양광 LED윤곽표시조명의 적용사례

  • 해상등부표는 선박 통항의 안전을 위해서 필요한 시설로, 낚시 배와 소형 어선을 포함한 선박의 항로표지에 중요한 역할을 한다. 그런데 야간에는 해상에 설치된 등부표의 위치나 번호판 식별이 어려워 소형 어선이나 선박이 등부표에 가까이 접근하여 등부표를 발견하지 못하는 경우 충돌하여 선박이 파손되거나 인명사고가 발생한다. 이 적용사례는 소형 어선이나 선박이 야간에도 등부표의 위치와 번호판을 손쉽게 식별할 수 있도록 등부표에 윤곽표시조명장치를 구비하여 충돌사고의 예방과 항로표지서비스를 향상시키는 목적을 갖고 개발을 추진하였다. 윤곽표시조명장치는 태양광전원을 이용하여 IP68 방수형 고효율 LED조명을 구비하여 멀리서도 식별이 가능하여 야간에도 신속하게 안전한 항로를 확보할 수 있게 되었으며, 근접센서 콘트롤러를 결합하여 선박이 등부표에 가까이 접근하면 LED조명이 점멸하며 깜빡이면서 충돌위험을 알리는 경보기능을 추가하여 등부표와 충돌사고를 예방할 수 있게 되어 항로표지서비스의 향상을 도모하게 되었다.

  • This paper provides an novel two-stage LED driver circuit for LED lighting equipment. The proposed driver circuit reduces voltage stress in LED driver circuit by using multi-level output voltage of PFC flyback converter. The proposed circuit satisfies IEC61000-3-2 class C regulation that is applied to lighting equipment over 25W and uses PWM to control brightness of wide extent. In this paper, the principle of proposed driver circuit is presented. A prototype has been built and tested. The experimental results are presented to show the validity of the proposed circuit.

  • This paper introduces a device providing close local lighting to the affected part, where the operation-purpose astral lamp alone cannot shed light directly, in an operation room of hospitals or clinics, which helps clinical doctors perform safe treatment of the affected part deep inside a human body. This medical assisting lighting is a device necessary to prevent fatal operation failures, which can occur with minute operation processes, such as tumor removal or angiorrhaphy. The components, such as the light source and power supply were designed to be low power consuming and small in size, have a narrow angle lens was used to increase the light spreading effect and focused illumination. The end-caps of the light transmission device using an optical cable and the lighting device were designed in the waterproof type to enable disinfection of these devices after use for the next patients. According to the measurement of the light source properties made after development of the retractor lighting device, the illumination intensity was 490 lux, the brightness was $11,550cd/m^2$, general color rendering index was 78, color temperature was 11,000K, and the intensity distribution was even, which were confirmed to be adequate for medical assisting local lighting.
