  • In this paper, we implemented the sign board system that displays user's image, user's sentence, the information from DARC. The existing sign board is displaying only user's image and sentence. Or other existing sign board is displaying the information via CDMA network. However, our system is also able to display the user's message like other system and gain the information more cheap by DARC. This system includes the main processor, the program memory, the external memory, the DARC module and the LED display module. The external memory stores the user's message files and the order file that decides the displaying order of user's file and the DARC information The DARC module extracts the DARC information from FM signal. From the experiment, we could confirm that this system display the DARC information and the user's message by the order file.

Low Power NDIR CO2 Sensor Using LED Light Source with a Smart Device Interface (스마트 기기와 결합 가능한 LED 광원을 사용하는 저전력용 비분산 적외선 CO2센서)

  • In this paper, a portable high efficiency nondispersive infrared(NDIR) $CO_2$ sensor module with a smart device interface is developed. For low power consumption design, an IR LED was used instead of tungsten lamp for light source and an optical waveguide optimized to the sensor module is designed. With the smart device interface, power of the sensor module is applied from the battery of smart phone. The measured data of the sensor module such as $CO_2$ concentration, temperature, and humidity are displayed on the smart phone using android application. From measured results, the developed sensor module shows ${\pm}60ppm$ tolerance error from 0 to 3,000ppm $CO_2$ concentration range among $-10^{\circ}C$ and $50^{\circ}C$ ranges.

  • The issue submitted to the Court of Justice on the merits of case C---573/13 originated from a claim brought in the context of a dispute between Air Berlin and the German Federal Union of Consumer Organisations and Associations. The challenge concerned the way in which air fares were displayed in Air Berlin's computerised booking system. The system was organised in such a way that, after selecting a date and a departure airport, one would find all possible flight connections in a summary table. However, the final price of the ticket was displayed only for the clicked connection, and not for all connections, thus preventing customers from being able to compare such price with the prices of other connections. The German Federal Union took the view that this practice did not meet the requirements laid down by Article 23 of Regulation (EC) No. 1008/2008, which requires transparency in the prices set for air services. This led the German State to bring an injunctive action to cause Air Berlin to discontinue said practice. The claim was upheld at both the application and appeal stage of the relevant proceedings. Subsequently, Air Berlin submitted the matter to the German Federal High Court, which decided to stay the proceedings and ask for a preliminary ruling from the Court of Justice as to 1. whether Article 23 of Regulation (EC) No. 1008/2008 must be interpreted as meaning that, during the computerised booking process, the final price to be paid must be indicated at all times when prices of air services are shown, including when they are shown for the first time; and 2. whether, during the computerised booking process, the final price must be indicated only for the air service specifically selected by the customer or for each air service shown. In a nutshell, the Court, by the here---discussed judgment determined that Article 23 of Regulation (EC) No. 1008/2008 must be interpreted as meaning that, in the context of a computerised air ticket booking system, the final price to be paid must be indicated not only for the air service specifically selected by the customer, but also for each air service in respect of which the fare is shown. Clearly the above judgment will place air companies under an obligation to update and adjust (when needed) their computerised ticket booking and payment systems, in consideration of the primary need for consumers to be aware at all times of the actual price payable for a ticket and be able to compare the price of the service selected with the prices for other air services in respect of which the fare is shown.

  • In this study, Speed-sensitive vehicle brake using the LED, When the driver presses the brake pedal, range step while being turned in connection taillights brake of the vehicle, such as speed-sensitive vehicle brake using the LED, It is turned on according to the deceleration of the vehicle to be series of points are displayed. The rear vehicle can prevent collision about an abrupt stop of preceding vehicle by perceiving deceleration state of preceding vehicle easier and faster. Also, if the inter-vehicle distance by using an ultrasonic sensor is closer than a certain distance, the emergency light turns on to convey the situation to the driver of the rear vehicle with a buzzer.

  • Gallium phosphide light emitting diode (LED) has been fabricated first time for pilot lamp and numeric display purposes. Bright red light is obtained in forward bias at very low current of one to five mA. A typical p-n junction is formed by liquid phase epitaxial growth on a n-type gallium physphide substrate. The crystal growth is achieved at about 1300$^{\circ}$K after the equilibrium of the gallium solution followed by tipping operation. The ohmic contact is made by wire bonding by thermal compression technique. The entire process is well fit for laboratory scale to fabricate a few hundred diodes for mainly demonstration purpose. For mass production, a large sum of the capital investment is required. The great merit of gallium phosphide LED is at low current operation, and green light emission is also obtainable by nitrogen doping.

  • This is a case report of a photo-electric single station alarm for residential fire prevention. The detector was developed for the certification in Japanese market which is more than 100 times bigger than Korean market. A comparison and review for test standard owned by KFI (Korea Institute of Fire Industry & Technology) and JFEII (Japan Fire Equipment Inspection Institute) respectively is also conducted. The detector alarms with a buzzer and an indicating LED. Operating period and time in alarm, low battery and fire situation is stated. The electronics circuit part to reduce its current and the detector's characteristics are described. It is explained that the measured current and experimental result of the battery discharge can meet the 10 years operation.

  • In this study, we have researched for a high-efficiency display with low power, less complicated configuration, and more attractive features than using conventional displays (CRT, LCD, LED, etc.) by manufacturing a propeller display using the POV(Persistence of Vision) phenomenon. After setting the reference point using the Hall sensor, the channel recognition signal and voice recognition signal are transmitted to the display using Bluetooth through the mobile phone application created based on the App program, and the display performs different operations according to the commanded Bluetooth signal. Finally, it was confirmed that the desired information is expressed on the display screen at a motor speed of 1,030 rpm.

  • 본 연구는 화면전환 및 필기 등의 프레젠테이션을 편리하게 제어 할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하고자 한다. 카메라를 이용한 컴퓨터 비전 분야에서 주변의 조명 환경의 영향을 적게 받는 적외선을 이용한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 제안하는 방법에서는 USB(Universal Serial Bus) 타입의 카메라를 적외선 환경에 맞게 개조하고, 이를 이용하여 적외선 LED(Light Emitting Diode)를 이용한 전자 분필 영상을 취득하여, 실시간으로 전자 분필의 위치를 검출한다. 검출된 영역은 사전에 사용자가 설정한 '필기 가능 영역'과 변형 함수에 기반하여, 실제 모니터 좌표로 사상되어 화면에 표시되게 된다. 제안하는 시스템은 저렴한 가격의 웹 캠과 적외선 조명 이외에는 별도의 장비가 필요하지 않으면서도, 대형 스크린을 터치 방식으로 활용할 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 실험 결과, 계산된 모니터 좌표와 사용자가 의도한 위치간의 평균 RMS(Root Mean Square) 오차는 약 15픽셀로 나타나서, 글씨를 필기하고 화면의 특정 부분을 강조하기 위한 활용이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Metaboilc parameters were obtained from the measurment of productivities of carbon dioxide on the sawdust medium. The productivites of carbon dioxide obtained during fourteen days' incubation were employed for the fungal biomass, representing the fungal growth, and applied for understanding the physioligical parameters on the sawdust medium. The role of rice bran, commonly employed in the conventional spawn medium was speculated to be three kinds of nutrients of starch, nitrogen source, and and minerals. Biologically, the role of rice bran was considered to be the fast growing agents which led to prevention of other microorganisms.
