  • The building information should be up-to-date information and propagated rapidly for urban modeling, terrain analysis, life information, navigational system, and location-based services(LBS), hence the most recent and updated data of the building information have been required of researchers. This paper presents the developed system to extract the 3-dimension spatial information from aerial orthoimage and LiDAR data of HSI color model. In particular, this paper presents the image processing algorithm to extract the outline of specific buildings and generate the building polygon from the image using HIS color model, recursive backtracking algorithm and the search maze algorithm. Also, this paper shows the effectivity of the HIS color model in the image segmentation.

  • Location-based services have distinctive service characteristics compared to the past online commerce used on the desktop. In any place, mobile communication devices can be used to access online and utilize online shopping, and it is more convenient for users. In addition, by providing shopping and service information specific to each location, it is possible to provide convenience to the consumers according to their locations. In addition, it provides scarcity of information as well as location, thereby increasing consumers' desire to purchase. In this study, we investigated the effect of scarcity on the Purchase intention of consumers in location-based services. The steps of scarcity are: first, a step without scarcity, Second, providing time limit information, Third, providing quantity limitation information, Fourth, the experiment was designed to provide time and quantity limitation, and 4 groups were analyzed through experimental stimuli The purpose of this study is to verify the moderating effect of the dependent variable on the degree of scarcity by adding 'ubiquity', 'interactivity' and 'privacy' which are characteristics of location-based service. As a result of the analysis, scarcity of time and scarcity of quantity limitation scarcity stimuli showed a moderating effect on ubiquity, interactivity and consumer's purchase intention, and these variables also directly or indirectly affected positively. Consumer confidence was found to have a negative effect on consumers' purchase intentions.

  • Smart phones mixed with mobile devices and computers are biggest change of information technology and user-installed applications of them provide various information and services which were only possible on PC and Internet in the past. They are expected to be used by ten million people in 2011 and people with disabilities can get easily information and location of disabled facilities using them. In this paper, we design a mobile information service system for person with disabilities, which provides various information and location of disabled facilities. We build information of disabled facilities using acquisition information through existing web sites and provide location based service with user's location.

  • DGPS is a technology that can improve the positioning precision of the existing GPS based on the correction information regarding reference station. Although the country is currently building infrastructure for DGPS correction information to be transmitted, it is being used only in limited areas for which DGPS expensive equipment is required. By enabling the development of the DGPS device using the smart phone, this limitation can be overcome, DGPS can be applied for various location-based services, and the implementation of the new model of location-based services may be enabled. In this paper, we introduce the development of a DGPS device for which high-precision positioning is possible using DGPS correction information received via the DMB network or mobile network in the smart phone environment.

  • With the growth of wireless communication networks and mobile devices taking in GPS, Location-Based Service(LBS) is becoming an integral part of mobile applications. LBS can deal with location-aware features such as persons holding mobile phones or vehicles equipped with GPS, and provide the users with the location information of the features. Thus it is necessary to develop moving object database systems to store, manage, and query moving objects which change their locations continuously as time passes. In this paper, we design and implement a query processing component which deals with moving objects as a key data type. For this component, we define a new SQL-like query language(called MOQL) and as a consequence, design and implement modules that analyze and execute queries. It supports various types of operators that process range queries, infer topological relations, compute trajectories, and find k-nearest neighbors. It can be used as a subsystem if other application systems which deal moving objects and also supports ADO.NET interface that can be used to interact end-users.

  • In recent days, navigation technology becomes more important as location based service (LBS) such as E911 and telematics are considered as attractive business fields. Commercial LBS requires that navigation system should be inexpensive and available anytime and anywhere - indoors and outdoors. If we consider these requirements, it is out of question that GPS is the most favorite system in the world. However, GPS has a serious problem. The one is that GPS does not operate indoors well. This is because GPS satellites are about 20,000km above the ground so that indoor signals are too weak to be tracked in GPS receiver. And the other is that vertical accuracy is less than horizontal accuracy, because of GPS satellites' geometry. To solve these problems, many researches have been done around the world since 1990s. This paper is also one of them and we will introduce an excellent solution by use of pseudolite. Pseudolite is a kind of signal generator, which transmits GPS-like signal. So it is same as GPS satellite in ground. In this paper, we will propose the integrated navigation system of GPS and pseudolite and show the flight test results using RC airplane to proof our navigation system. As a result, we could improve the vertical accuracy of airplane into the horizontal accuracy.

  • Recently, continuous k-nearest neighbor query(CkNN) which is defined as a query to find the nearest points of interest to all the points on a given path is widely used in the LBS(Location Based Service) and ITS(Intelligent Transportation System) applications. It is necessary to acquire results quickly in the above applications and be applicable to spatial network databases. This paper proposes a new method to search nearest POIs(Point Of Interest) for moving query objects on the spatial networks. The method produces a set of split points and their corresponding k-POIs as results. There is no order between the POIs. The analysis show that the proposed method outperforms the existing methods.

  • Augmented Reality is being widely used not only for Smartphone users but also in industries such as maintenance, construction area. With smartphone, due to the low localization accuracy and the requirement of special infrastructure, current LBS (Localization Based Service) is limited to show P.O.I. (Point of Interest) nearby. Improvement of IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) based deadreckoning is presented in this paper. Additional sensors such as the magnetic compass and magnetic flux sensors are used as well as the accelerometer and the gyro for getting more movement information. Based on the pedestrian movement, appropriate sensor information is selected and the complementary filter is used in order to enhance the accuracy of the localization. Additional sensors are used to measure the movements of the upper body and the head and to provide the user's line of sight.

  • Increasing users of smart phone and various marketing strategies activate lots of mobile mileage services recently. Such a mileage service is a typical marketing service to increase brand loyalty of clients and maximize purchase motivation. However, traditional offline mileage services introduce discomfort that users have to carry lots of mileage cards physically. Also, in case of using digital mobile mileage service, users have to search specific card to use from lots of digital cards stored in his mobile device. In this paper, to solve the problems, we design and develop a mobile mileage service system that especially discover a proper card automatically based on location information of user.
