Metagonimus yokogawai 세르카리아의 감각유두에 관한 연구 (Study on Sensory Papillae of Metagonimus yokogawai Cercaria)

  • A number of studies on the papillae of cercariae of trematodes reported that the papillar patterns (or chaetotaxy) of cercariae might be an excellent method to attain better understanding of the digenetic trematodes (Richard, 1971 ; Short and Cartrett, 1973; Bayssade-Dufour, 1979) . The present study was aimed to determine the number, distribution pattern and structure of the sensory papillae of Metagonimus yokogawai cercariae, and to elucidate the chaetotaxy of this digenetic trematode. M. yokogawai cercariae were pipetted from a vial in which infected snails (Semisulcospira libertina) had been kept for 3 hours. The snails were collected from an endemic area of M. yokogawai, Boseong river in west-southern part of Korea. Observations of papillae were based on light microscopy of those stained with silver nitrate, and on scanning electron microscopy The results are summarized as follows: 1, All papillae observed were uniciliated. 2. Cilia in anterior tip were shorter than the others in other portions. 3. The body papillae were arranged in essentially symmetrical patterns, Total number of the papillae was 126(63 pairs) in average; anterior tip 40(20 pairs), ventral 20(10 pairs), lateral 42(21 pairs), and caudal 8(4 pairs). 4. The chaetotany of M. yokogawai cercaria was: Ci cycle ($3+3C_{I}V,{\;}2+2C_{I}L,{\;}2+3C_{I}D),{\;}C_{II}{\;}cycle(2C_{II}V,{\;}1C_{II}L,{\;}2C_{II}D),{\;}C_{lll}{\;}cycle{\;}(1+lC_{III}V,{\;}1C_{IlI}L),{\;}C_{IV}{\;}cycle{\;}(1C_{IV}V,{\;}IC_{lV}L){\;}in{\;}cephalic{\;}region:{\;}A_I(1A_{IV}V,{\;}1+2A_{I}L,{\;}1A_{I}D),{\;}A_{II}(1A_{II}V,{\;}1+3A_{II}L,{\;}1A_{II}D),{\;}A_{III}(1A_{III}V,{\;}1+1A_{III}L,{\;}1A_{III}D){\;}and{\;}A_{IV}(1A_{IV}V,{\;}2A_{IV}L)$ in antacetabular region: $1M_{I}V{\;}and{\;}2M_{I}L$ in median: $1+1P_{I}L,{\;}1P_{II}L,{\;}1P_{II}D,{\;}1P_{III}L,{\;}1P_{IV}L{\;}and{\;}1P_{IV}D$ in postacetabular region: 2-2-2-2 in caudal region.

  • This paper presents characterizations of the power distribution with the parameter $\beta=1$ by the independence of the lower record values. We prove $X\;{\in}\;POW({\alpha},\;1)$ for ${\alpha}\;>\;0$, if and only if $\frac{X_{L(n)}}{X_{L(m)}}$ and $X_{L(m)}$ for $1\;{\leq}\;m\;<\;n$ are independent. And we prove that $X\;{\in}\;POW({\alpha},\;1)$ for ${\alpha}\;>\;0$, if and only if $\frac{X_{L(m)}-X_{L(m+1)}}{X_{L(m)}}$ and $X_{L(m)$ for $m\;{\geq}\;1$ are independent or $\frac{X_{L(m)}-X_{L(m+1)}}{X_{L(m+1)}}$ and $X_{L(m)}$ for $m\;{\geq}\;1$ are independent.

  • In this paper we investigate the Hyers-Ulam stability of the s-variable additive and l-variable quadratic functional equations of the form $$f\(\sum\limits_{i=1}^{s}x_i\)+\sum\limits_{j=1}^{s}f\(-sx_j+\sum\limits_{i=1,i{\neq}j}^{s}x_i\)=0$$ and $$f\(\sum\limits_{i=1}^{l}x_i\)+\sum\limits_{j=1}^{l}f\(-lx_j+\sum\limits_{i=1,i{\neq}j}^{l}x_i\)=(l+1)$$$\sum\limits_{i=1,i{\neq}j}^{l}f(x_i-x_j)+(l+1)\sum\limits_{i=1}^{l}f(x_i)$ (s, l ∈ N, s, l ≥ 3) in quasi-Banach spaces.

Two Dimensional Slow Feature Discriminant Analysis via L2,1 Norm Minimization for Feature Extraction

  • Slow Feature Discriminant Analysis (SFDA) is a supervised feature extraction method inspired by biological mechanism. In this paper, a novel method called Two Dimensional Slow Feature Discriminant Analysis via $L_{2,1}$ norm minimization ($2DSFDA-L_{2,1}$) is proposed. $2DSFDA-L_{2,1}$ integrates $L_{2,1}$ norm regularization and 2D statically uncorrelated constraint to extract discriminant feature. First, $L_{2,1}$ norm regularization can promote the projection matrix row-sparsity, which makes the feature selection and subspace learning simultaneously. Second, uncorrelated features of minimum redundancy are effective for classification. We define 2D statistically uncorrelated model that each row (or column) are independent. Third, we provide a feasible solution by transforming the proposed $L_{2,1}$ nonlinear model into a linear regression type. Additionally, $2DSFDA-L_{2,1}$ is extended to a bilateral projection version called $BSFDA-L_{2,1}$. The advantage of $BSFDA-L_{2,1}$ is that an image can be represented with much less coefficients. Experimental results on three face databases demonstrate that the proposed $2DSFDA-L_{2,1}/BSFDA-L_{2,1}$ can obtain competitive performance.

3T3-L1 세포주해서 분비하는 인체 암세포 성장억제 단백질에 대한 연구 (A Study on Growth-inhibiting Protein of Human Cancer Cells Secreted from 373-L1 Cell-line)

  • Inhibition of the growth of human cancer cells by proteins secreted from 373-L1 cells was investigated in the present study. The growth of human cancer cells was inhibited by co-culture with 373-L1 cells under 10% FBS and DME, DME, GIT and serumless medium, respectively. The conditioned medium of cultured 373-L1 cells under serumless medium was concentrated 100-fold through an ultrafiltration cell with a 10,000 molecular weight cutoff at 4$^{\circ}C$ under positive pressure using nitrogen(373-L1 EM). 373-L1 EM inhibited the growth of HeLa, Hep G 2, KHOS-Np, A43l and MCF-7 cells. 3T3-L1 EM was purified with FPLC, DEAE-ion exchange chromatography and phenyl-sepharose chromatography. The major protein of 373-L1 EM has a molecular weight of 66,000-68,000 in SDS-PAGE analysis. The results suggest that the inhibitory activity of 373-L1 EM appears to be due to some protein(m.w.66,000-68,000) secreted by 373-L1 cells.

시비처리에 따른 활엽수 용기묘의 생장 특성 변화 (Growth Performances of Container Seedlings of Deciduous Hardwood Species Grown at Three Different Fertilization Treatments)

  • 본 연구는 주요 활엽수 조림수종인 느티나무, 참느릅나무, 거제수나무 및 피나무를 대상으로 세 가지 시비 처리($0.5g{\cdot}L^{-1}$, $1.0g{\cdot}L^{-1}$, $2.0g{\cdot}L^{-1}$)에 따른 근원경, 간장, 물질생산량, 묘목품질지수 등 생장 특성을 조사 분석하여 시설양묘과정에서 실질적으로 적용 가능한 수종별 적정 시비기술을 구명하고자 수행하였다. 느티나무는 $2.0g{\cdot}L^{-1}$, 거제수나무는 $0.5g{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 시비처리구에서 가장 우수한 생장 및 묘목품질을 나타냈는데, 시비수준에 따른 두 수종간의 생장 특성이 반대의 경향을 보인 것이다. 또한, 시비처리에 따른 참느릅나무와 피나무의 근원경과 간장 생장은 유의적 차이가 없었다. 그러나 묘목품질지수는 두 수종 모두 $0.5g{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 시비처리구에서 가장 낮았으며, $1.0g{\cdot}L^{-1}$$2.0g{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 시비처리구 간 유의적 차이는 없었다. 따라서 묘목 품질과 함께 경제적, 환경적 측면을 고려했을 때 느티나무는 최소 $2.0g{\cdot}L^{-1}$, 참느릅나무와 피나무는 $1.0g{\cdot}L^{-1}$, 거제수나무는 최대 $0.5g{\cdot}L^{-1}$이 적정 시비 수준으로 판단된다. 수종별 적정 시비 수준(배액, 회수)의 적용으로 우량 묘목 생산 및 이와 연계된 조림성과 향상뿐만 아니라 환경오염 저감, 생산비용 절감 및 양묘 기간 단축 등 경제적 이점이 기대된다.

  • Dipyridyl 리간드 L'(N,N'-bis-(1-pyridin-4-yl-ethylidene)-naphthalene-1,5-diamine)을 함유한 $CH_2Cl_2$ 용액을 $Co(NO_3)_2{\cdot}6H_2O$을 함유한 MeOH 용액 위에 깔았을 때, 배위 고분자가 아닌, 분자성 코발트 화합물 [$CoL_2(MeOH)(NO_3)_2$] (1)이 형성되었다. 화합물 1의 X-ray 구조 분석 결과, 이 화합물은 pyridyl-amine 리간드 L(N1-(4-Imino-1-methyl-but-2-enylidene)-naphthalene-1,5-diamine)을 함유하고 있었다. 반응 중에 리간드 L'이 리간드 L로 가수분해되었다는 것을 화합물 1의 구조가 강하게 암시하고 있다.

The Role of L1 and L2 in an L3-speaking Class

  • This study explored how a Chinese college student who previously had not reached a threshold level of Korean proficiency used L1 (Chinese) and L2 (English) as a tool to socialize into Korean (L3) culture of learning over the course of study. From a perspective of language socialization, this study examined the cross-linguistic influence of L1 and L2 on the L3 acquisition process by tracing an approach to language learning and practices taken by the Chinese student as a case study. Data were collected through three methods; interview protocols, various types of written texts, and observations. The results showed that the student used English as a means to negotiate difficulties and expertise by empowering her L2 exposure during the classroom practices. Her ways of using L2 in oral practices could be characterized as the 'Inverse U-shape' pattern, under which she increased L2 exposure at the early stage of the study and shifted the intermediate language to L3 at the later stage of the study. When it comes to the language use in written practices, the sequence of "L2-L1-L3" use gradually changed to the "L2-L3" sequence over time, signifying the importance of interaction between L2 and L3. However, the use of her native language (L1) in a Korean-speaking classroom was limited to a certain aspect of literacy practices (i.e., vocabulary learning or translation). This study argues for L2 communication channel in cross-cultural classrooms as a key factor to determine sustainable learning growth.

캘러스 유기와 식물체 재분화를 이용한 무의 기내 대량증식 (In vitro micropropagation of radish (Raphanus sativus L.) using callus induction and plant regeneration)

  • 무(Raphanus sativus L.)는 전세계적으로 재배되고 있는 뿌리 채소 중 하나로, 다양한 방법으로 소비되고 있다. 무의 F1종자 생산을 위한 원종 계통의 교배 과정에서는 화분 혼입으로 인해 순도가 떨어지는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 무의 기내 대량증식을 위해 캘러스 재분화를 통한 대량증식 조건을 확립함으로써 기내배양 식물체를 증식시키고 원종 증식에 이용될 수 있도록 하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 무의 하배축을 이용한 캘러스 유기에서 다양한 농도의 2,4-D와 TDZ, kinetin 조합 중 가장 효과적인 조합을 선정하고, 유기된 캘러스를 두 종류의 배지(5H+1B, 1 mg/L NAA + 0.1 mg/L 2,4-D + 1 mg/L IPA + 0.02 mg/L GA3 + 2 mg/L zeatin + 1 mg/L BA; 5H+0.1T, 1 mg/L NAA + 0.1 mg/L 2,4-D + 1 mg/L IPA + 0.02 mg/L GA3 + 2 mg/L zeatin + 0.1 mg/L TDZ)에 치상함으로써shoot 재분화에 적합한 호르몬 조건을 탐색하였다. 무의 캘러스 배양 결과, RA2 계통과 RA10 계통은 1 mg/L 2,4-D + 0.05 mg/L kin 조합에서, RA4 계통은 1 mg/L 2,4-D + 0.1 mg/L kin + 0.025 mg/L TDZ 조합에서, RA30 계통은 1 mg/L 2,4-D + 0.2 mg/L kin 조합에서 캘러스의 형성이 효과적이었다. RA4 계통에서 유기된 캘러스의 shoot 재분화는 두 종류의 shoot 재분화 배지에서 모두 일어났지만, 그 빈도는 5H+1B 배지에서 훨씬 더 높았으며 재분화된 shoot를 발근배지에 계대배양하여 뿌리를 유도하고 기내 순화 과정을 거쳐 재분화된 소식물체를 얻을 수 있었다. 이 연구에서 확립한 조건들을 무의 기내 대량번식에 활용한다면, F1 종자 생산을 위한 원종 증식에 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다.
