The Analysis of the Wideband T-shaped Microstripline-fed Slot Antenna with a Rectangular Stub (광대역성을 위한 장방형 스터브를 갖는 T-모양 급전선 마이크로스트립 슬롯 안테나의 해석)

  • It was shown that the bandwidth of T-shaped microstripline fed slot antenna is wider than many of the conventional feeding structures. In this paper, we proposed a new method of enhancing the bandwidth of T-shaped microstripline fed slot antenna with a shunt open stub, and analyzed this antenna by using the FDTD method. We have computed waves and electric field distribution in the time domain, and VSWR, input impedance and radiation pattern in the frequency domaim by Fourier transforming the time domain results. It was found that the bandwidth of this antenna depend on the position(L$_1$) and length(L$_2$) of a shunt open stub. When these parameters are L$_1$=30 mm and L$_2$=33mm, we obtained the maximum bandwidth at the center frequency of 2.3 GHz. From the computed results, the optimum antenna is designed and fabricated. The fractional bandwidth of this antenna was 53.9 %. The measured results were in relatively good accordance with computed values.

  • In this paper, we have designed 800MHz band broadband antenna which is improves of microstrip antenna narrow bandwidth problem including the CDMA band and be able to integrated the GSM and TRS band will design. It used the duplex resonance effect it had the L-Shaped feeding structure which adds the u-slot. It was measured that the frequency bandwidth of the designed antenna which is planed $897MHz\sim1013MHz$ with 215MHz(23.8%). And the antenna gain is 9.3dBi, 3dB beam width $60^{\circ}$ in both the E-plane and H-plane.

  • 본 논문에서는 skeleton slot 복사기를 이용하여 GSM 900과 GSM 1800에서 사용할 수 있는 이중대역 안테나를 설계 및 제작하여 측정 결과를 비교 분서하였다. 기본적인 skeleton slot 구조에서는 낮은 밴드의 2배 이상의 주파수에서는 수평 빔폭이 일정치 않고, 정재파비 특성이 불량하였으나, 급전부와 측면 방사부분의 다중경로 형성 및 절곡 구조를 이용하여 이를 해결하였다. 안테나의 크기는 반사판이 190$\times$190(mm), 복사기는 154$\times$106(mm), 높이는 33mm로 하여 현재 서비스 사업자틀이 주로 사용하는 크기로 구성하였다. 구성 재질은 1mm 두께의 알류미늄판을 이용하며, 이를 NCT로 타공 및 절곡하여 제작하였기 때문에 대량 생산 시 단가를 낮출수 있다. 실측결과 900MHz 대역에서 13.7%, 1800MHz 대역에서 16.4%의 -l0dB 반사손실 대역폭을 만족하고, 방사패턴도 대역별로 $\pm$1$^{\circ}$이내의 일정한 양상을 보여 이중대역 안테나로서의 요구를 만족하였다.

Design of wideband microstrip monopole slot antenna (광대역 마이크로스트립 모노폴 슬롯안테나의 설계)

  • In the present study, wideband microstrip monopole slot antennas which can be applied to the RF4CE Zigbee remote controller are designed. First I-shaped monopole slot antenna which has ${\lambda}g/4$ length at 2.45GHz is designed. In particular, a conducting via is used to connect the microstrip feed line and the ground plane surrounded with the etched slot for the bandwidth improvement. In order to reduce the antenna size, it is changed into L-shaped and T-shaped monopole slot antennas for which improve results of antenna performance are observed. In case of T-shaped monopole slot antenna, impedance bandwidth(VSWR<2) is about 3.32GHz, and also its radiation efficiency and gain is more than 90% and 2.1dBi respectively at whole operating frequency range. In particular, all of proposed monopole slot antennas have the end-fire radiations which has a maximum radiation power toward direction of open ends of monopole slots.

Design of Equilateral Triangular Microstrip Antennas for Circular Polarization (정삼각 마이크로스트립 원형편파 안테나 설계)

  • In this paper, single-feed equilateral triangular microstrip antennas(ETMA) for circular polarization(CP) are designed and studied experimentally. It is demonstrated that by embedding a narrow slot or a cross of unequal slot lengths in the triangular patch circularly polarized radiation RHCP(right-hand circularly polarized wave), LHCP(left-hand circularly polarized wave) of microstrip antennas can easily be achieved using by strategically positioned coaxial single probe feed. And the size of a triangular microstrip patch antenna is smaller than that of a conventional rectangular or circular patch at a given frequency. A single-feed ETMA with a horizontal narrow slot is printed on the substrate of 60 mils thick and the other ETMA with a corss slot of unequal slot lengths is printed on the same substrate. The antenna radiation characteristics are calculated by ENSEMBLE(Ver. 5.0) software, and compared with the experimental results. This results show that the antenna size reduction of about $17%{\sim}2l%$ is obtained as compared to the regular-size CP design.

The Design of U-Slot Stack Structure Antenna for 800MHz Band Coastal Sea Base Station Applications (800MHz 대역 연안해역기지국용 U-Slot 적층구조 안테나 설계)

  • In this paper, we will design a 800MHz broadband antenna after a problem of the narrow bandwidth is improved. This multiple band antenna unifies the CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access), GSM(Global System for Mobile Telecommunication) and TRS(Trunked Radio System) band in the UHF band, and then it is possible at the shore base station or repeater as the commercial use. It used the duplex resonance effect it had the L-shared feeding structure which adds the U-slot. And it improved profit using stack structure. It was measured that the frequency bandwidth of the designed antenna which is planed $792{\sim}1040MHz$ with 248MHz(33%). And the antenna gain is 9.4dBi, 3dB beam width $60^{\circ}$ in radiation pattern.

More compact rectangular two stepped slot antenna for Wi-Fi dual band application (더욱 소형화된 와이파이 이중대역용 직사각형 2단 계단식 슬롯 안테나)

  • In the present study, a more compact dual-band slot antenna is newly proposed for Wi-Fi application. The proposed antenna is composed of rectangular two stepped slot with open end which can generate standing wave resonance at dual frequency bands and L-type microstrip feed line. The measured impedance bandwidths are 50 MHz(2.412 ~ 2.470 GHz) at low frequency band and 452 MHz(5.451 ~ 5.903 GHz) at high frequency band respectiviely. Furthermore its size of 14 × 21 mm2 is reduced by 30% compared to the size of 20 × 21 mm2 of a conventional similar compact slot antenna. It has the omni-directional radiation pattern characteristics of a typical dipole antenna on the H-Plane, so it is suitable for commercial wireless network applications such as Wi-Fi.

A Statistical Analysis for Slot-die Coating Process in Roll-to-roll Printed Electronics (롤투롤 슬롯-다이 대면적 코팅 공정 최적화를 위한 통계적 모델링 방법)

  • Recent advances in printing technology have increased the productivity of the roll-to-roll (R2R) printing process for printed circuitry. In the R2R printed electronics, characteristics of printed and coated layers are one of the most important issues that determine the functional quality of final products. The slot-die technology can coat a large area with high uniformity using low-viscosity materials; determining the process parameters is important to obtain excellent coating qualities. In this study, a viscocapillary model was used to predict qualities of coated layers and patterns. On the basis of analysis results, a novel meta model was derived using design of experiment methodology to improve accuracy. Sensitivity analysis was performed to define major parameters in R2R slot-die coating process. The coating speed was found to most significantly affect the coated layer thickness and was easily controlled. The performance of the proposed model is verified through experimental studies. Based on the statistical analysis results, R2R slot die process can be optimized to guarantee a desired thickness.

Model Test on the Three-Slot Cambered Otter Board with Accessories (부속구를 부착한 슬롯 만곡형전개판의 성능에 관한 모형실험)

  • A serious of study is carried out to practical use of the three-slot cambered otter board improved by the authors. As the first step, we designed main plates, slots and accessories, such as holding plate, fan-shaped towing plate, normans, center ring, etc. Standing on this design, we made the simple cambered and three-slot cambered model otter board with accessories in a linear scale 6:1. and carried out model test to examine the efficiency of these boards. The obtained results can be summarized as follows: 1. On the simple cambered board with accessories, the values of the maximum shear coefficient($C _{LX}$ ). drag coefficient(($C _{D}$) and hydrodynamic efficiency($C _{L}$/$C _{D}$ ) are 1.39, 0.56, 2.48 at $22^{\circ}$ of the angle of stall respectively. 2. On the three-slot cambered board with accessories, $C _{LX}$/$C _{D}$ and $C _{I}$/$C _{D}$ are 1.67, 0.92, 1.82 at $32^{\circ}$ of the angle of stall respectively. 3.$C _{LX}$ of board with accessories is smaller 10~12% than that of only the main plate, and the angle of stall is almost same. 4. $C _{LX}$ and the angle of stall of the three-slot cambered board with accessories are greater 20% and $10^{\circ}$ than that of the simple cambered board respectively.
