Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 459 restaurant employees. The SPSS and Amos programs were then applied to the data to perform frequency, factor, reliability, correlation and SEM analyses. The primary results are as follows. First, business ethical values had a significant positive effect on person-organization fit. Second, person-organization fit had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, and a significant negative effect on turnover intent. Third, job satisfaction had a significant positive effect, and turnover intent had a significant negative effect, on organizational performance. Finally, upon verifying the possible direct and indirect effects of business ethical values within family restaurants and feeding facilities, it was determined that the ethical values had significant direct and indirect effects on person-organization fit, job satisfaction, turnover intent, and organizational performance. • The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of the characteristics of coupons purchased through a social shopping site upon customer satisfaction and future behavior intention. Based on total 332 samples who had bought franchise restaurant coupons and used them before, this study reviewed reliability and fitness of the research model and verified total 4 hypotheses with AMOS and SPSS program. The hypothesized relationships among the models were tested simultaneously by using a structure equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, ${\chi}^2$=309.795(df=103, p<.001), CMIN/DF=3.008, RMR=.103, GFI=.912, NFI=.927, CFI=.950, RMSEA=.074. The result showed that the coupon proneness(${\beta}$=.645) and price sensitivity(${\beta}$=-.315) had a significant influence on restaurant satisfaction(p<.001) and only coupon proneness(${\beta}$=1.040) had a significant influence on coupon satisfaction(p<.001). Also, restaurant satisfaction had a positive significant influence on restaurant customers' revisit intention(${\beta}$=.603, p<.001) and coupon users' repurchase intention(${\beta}$=.335, p<.001). Furthermore, coupon satisfaction had a positive significant influence on coupon repurchase intention(${\beta}$=.353, p<.001) but had a negative significant influence on restaurant revisit intention(${\beta}$=-.263, p<.001). Limitations and future research directions were also discussed.

  • In Korea, most family restaurants run on interior, menu and service of nearly the same approach. This fact indicates that product itself is no longer a primary source they can rely on to compete successfully. To survive the keener competition, family restaurants need to come up with new management strategy. The kind of strategy that is fundamentally differentiated from the existing ones are required, by thoroughly analyzing what customers want. The purpose of this study was to examine the actual status of family restaurants, how much they were considered significant by their customers, and how much satisfaction the customers felt. There are some limitations in this study, which should be taken into account by future researches for more successful results: First, income was one of the demographic variables investigated in this study. Second, it's easy to find out the disposition of those in their 20s, but there were a lot of difficulties in identifying the family restaurant significance and satisfaction of people in their 30s and over. Third, this researcher was too subjective in sorting out tile significance and satisfaction attributes, which made it hard to test the validity of the selected attributes.

  • As mentioned above, Korean restaurant's menu price is to be decided by combining various factors. Korean restaurant is demanded to decide menu price more carefully than other restaurants do, because the number of Korean restaurant is the largest in Korea and Korean food is the most popular among the Korean people. Korean restaurant cannot neglect price competitiveness and is often given complaints from its customers. Because of such management difficulties, the number of Korean restaurant has recently decreased at special class hotels as well as common hotels. Korean restaurant managers are demanded to make efforts to inherit Korean tradition and culture by keeping pride and responsibility. Until now, Korean restaurants are thought to decide the menu prices in short-sighted, non-scientific and haphazard way of thinking. Such price decision factors have established traditions and have been generally accepted to let Korean restaurant managers lose carefulness at the menu price decision. In advanced countries, however, they recognized the importance of the price decision since the 1960's or earlier to research the menu price systematically and scientifically. Before deciding the menu prices, Korean restaurant managers are demanded to investigate various kinds of factors carefully and spend a lot of time to calculate direct costs, that is, one of the most important factors of cost calculations. The managers are demanded to decide the menu prices in reasonable and future-oriented way by keeping not private thinking but correct information and judgment. The sale of each menu has difference, while the menu price increase has been evaluated to be successful from overall point of view. Despite of increased total sale, there was not much difference of net profit because of increased material costs. However, higher level of the customers produced comfortable and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant enough to satisfy customers, and improved service quality much more. Not only customer satisfaction but also improved service quality is thought to play an important role in invitation of future customers.
