A study on the paint dyeing by Gloiopeltis paste (포해태를 이용한 묘염에 대한 연구)

  • This study was carried out to examine the effect of paint dyeing by Gloiopeltis paste in the various painting sizes and concentrations of paste. In the tonality diagram of Lab, surface colors were changed to +a(red), +b(yellow) and -b(blue) by treating of Gloiopelis paste and L value was the tendency of increasing. The penetration decreased with increasing concentration of paste, except for 3% of red and yellow. While it was decreased steadily in the case of Nue. The best penetration of dye was at 3% of concentration of Gloiopeltis paste and it's viscosity was measured 1500cps. As concentration of paste increased, ${\Delta}E_{ab}$increased after 40 hr. irradiation and water fastness and washing fastness test in red and blue. But in the case of ${\Delta}E_{ab}$yellow decreased slightly or not changed.

  • 본 연구에서는 방염제가 적용되는 방염대상물에 대한 검정기술기준과 목조문화재에 적용되는 방염제의 검정기준의 차이에 대해 비교하여 보았으며 이를 통해 단청 등이 도색되어 있는 대부분의 목조문화재에 적용되는 방염제의 성능과 방염 처리되어진 일반 목재의 방염성능평가방법에 대하여 생각해 보았다. 목조문화재용 방염제 검정기준 내의 방염성 평가는 소방방재청 고시 제 2009-31호의 "방염제의 형식승인 및 검정기술기준"과 비교하였을 때 목재를 비교대상으로 할 경우 방염성능 기준 및 측정방법과 동일하거나 거의 유사하였으며 방염제의 물성 등에 대한 기본적인 평가방법 또한 동일한 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 시험시편에 대한 규정에 있어서 목조문화재용 시험편의 경우 일정 두께이하로 규정하고 있어 시험하는 시편의 두께에 따라 방염성능 평가기준에 도달하지 못하는 경우가 발생할 수 있을 것으로 판단되어진다.

The Effects of Activities and Working Conditions on Fire Accidents on Construction Sites

  • Accidents on construction sites involving fires do not occur as often as accidents involving falls from height or collapses. However, once a fire accident occurs, there is a high risk of a large number of casualties. Fire on construction sites is affected by working conditions and the types of activities the construction workers are engaged in at the sites. This study aims to identify activities and working conditions at construction sites that are vulnerable to fire, and analyse how they correlate with each other and how they affect the causes and consequences of fire accidents at construction sties. I analysed 40 fire accident reports and listed the situations vulnerable to fire at construction sites considering direct causes, activities, and working conditions. The most dangerous combination of fire hazards can be the heating devices used during rest/sleep in the office/cabin/storage during cold weather. The next most hazardous combination can be sparks arising from painting, waterproofing, insulation, plumbing, or welding/melting work in an underground or confined space.

  • Recently the study related to life cycle cost analysis of railway structure consisted of a complex is proceeded covering several range, which is considering the methodology of efficiency and rationalization for maintenance and analysing long-time behavior of the structure of looking at standpoint from asset management and safety. But LCCA(life cycle cost analysis) of railway structure was almost impossible as there were not anything datum for maintenance plan, such as maintenance periods related to each of components(painting and corrosion of steel, and cracking of elements, etc)and maintenance proportion, despite of its 100-year history. According, for collecting data related to railway truss bridge, bridge record cards and testing safety papers, and researching question, etc are surveyed and classified for LCC Analysis. Especially, LCC assessment on the side of assets-maintenance considering about initial cost, maintenance cost, and indirect cost is constructed. Maintenance period and complementary measure rate are very important in maintenance. To decide maintenance period, Baysian updating method is applied.

The Reduction Rate of $CO_2$ with Fuel-cut Region Painting on the Road (퓨얼컷 구간 도로표시에 따른 $CO_2$ 배출 저감율)

  • 자동차 주행 시 엔진회전수가 1,500rpm 이상이고 주행속도가 50km/hr 이상의 조건에서 가속 페달을 밟지 않은 상태로 관성주행(타행주행)을 하면 연료분사량이 "0"이 되고 그에 따라 엔진 배출 $CO_2$ 배출량도 "0"이 된다. 본 연구에서는 고속도로 및 자동차 전용도로에서의 이러한 연료차단(퓨얼컷 fuel-cut) 주행 구간을 찾고 연료차단 기능을 활용하는 경우 그 효과를 평가하였다. 본 시험의 결과 퓨얼컷 주행을 활용하면 약 4~5% 정도의 $CO_2$ 배출량을 줄일 수 있음을 알 수 있었고, 감속의 정도를 도로 상황에 맞게 최적화하는 경우 감소율을 더욱 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 추후 본 시험의 결과를 이용하여 도로 내리막 구간에서 연료소모량 및 $CO_2$ 배출량을 저감하면서도 과속으로 인한 사고를 예방하는 방안으로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on Using Generative Design based on Shape Grammars (도형문법 기반의 생성디자인 활용에 관한 연구)

  • At the early design stage, a designer would develop a design through reviewing various alternatives. However, the limitation of human information handling capacity restricts what makes various alternatives. A way to overcome the limitation is to create the alternatives with computer power and the generative design concept with computer has been used. For the generative design, even if a great deal of methodologies has been presented, the core of methodologies would be the process of shapes which examine interrelationship among shapes and how shape can be changed with the interrelationship. The interrelationship can be represented as rules. To represent the rule, the shape grammar is suggested by Stiny in 1972 with the article of "Shape Grammars and the Generative Specification of Painting and Sculpture". The aim of this paper is to present a way of using generative design based on shape grammar for generating alternatives in 3D manner.

  • 본 연구에서는 조선소 대형 블록 도장시설에서 배출되는 VOCs 가스처리를 위하여, 조선소 도장공정 및 배출가스 특성에 대한 분석 결과를 바탕으로, 이에 적합한 배출가스 저감장치를 구성하여 제안하였다. 본 연구에 제안된 저감장치는 펄스전원장치를 이용한 MSC(Multi Stage Corona)시스템 및 활성탄 흡착 시스템으로, 가스 처리능력이 우수하고, 종전 기술 RTO(Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer)에 비해 더 안전하고, 운전비용 면에서도 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

Development of electrode tips for spot welding to reduce indentation of car body surface of stainless rolling stocks (스텐레스 철도차량 외판 압흔 깊이 감소를 위한 스폿용접용 전극팁 개발)

  • Stainless rolling stocks are usually fabricated by spot welding process without painting. Indentation on the surface of the car body after spot welding injures the beauty of the stainless rolling stocks. In this study, electrode tips to reduce the indentation are developed and applied to the actual spot welding works. The developed tips are composed of head, nut hole far cooling water, body and resistance material. They provide large surface contact area with the base materials during spot welding and enhance the current density by necking. Experimental results using the developed tips show that small indentation and sufficient tensile shear strength is produced due to large contact area and enhanced current density.

  • This study deals with the method of constructing and repairing column, important element of traditional wooden building. Column should have long-lasting strength and resistance to decay and vermin because it is more important in role of structure than in that of ornament. And the rotten or the split part of wooden column should be repaired regularly or irregularly. First of all, this study treats of general character related to the life length and strength of wood. Then it describes the technical method of choosing proper wood for column and that of carpentering, painting, and mending wooden column.

Life Cycle Cost Analysis of Steel Railroad Bridges Under Corrosive Environment (강철도교의 부식영향에 따른 생애주기비용분석)

  • This paper represents the life-cycle cost(LCC) of steel bridges which are located on the train-network. Corrosion problems are mainly considered in the steel members such as steel plate girder, box girder, truss and arch. Based on the current value, initial construction cost, maintenance cost and demolition cost are calculated and life-cycle costs are formulated for the several types of bridges. From the comparison on each LCC, an effective painting method is recommended for reducing the LCC of steel bridges. Even though the initial cost of Super Weather Resistance Heavy Duty Paintings (Resin Fluoride) is expensive, because of the long endurance, the LCC of steel bridges painted with Super Weather Resistance Heavy Duty Paintings (Resin Fluoride) is less than that painted with General Heavy Duty (Rubber Chloride).
