The purpose of this study is to analyze the problem of confusing the names of Chinese granite used in Korean construction work and suggest the improvement plans for them. Interviews of the experts from the stone company, studies on the existing research literature, and analyses of construction work documents of the 23 construction works which used Chinese granite were carried out to analyze the real condition of name confusion of granite stone. In the analytical result of the real condition, name confusion was classified into 4 types and problems derived from it were done into 4 ones. An additional survey was carried out targeting 34 masonry experts to draw the improvement plans based on the analytical results of the real condition of name confusion. The results show that the most fundamental solution is to continue to make efforts to use exact names when main agents related to construction works communicate with each other regarding Chinese granite stone and the process to make out construction contract documents.
This paper argues that Koguryo historically belonged to Korea based on the linguistic homogeneity among Koguryo, Sinra, and Paekche. The language of Koguryo shows the following four distinct properties from Chinese. First, Koguryo, Sinra, and Kara share a dual structure of national birth myths, and the directional vocabulary found in the countries also shows the evidence that the Korean people moved from North to South. Chinese, on the other hand, has no indication of these facts. Second, the place names in Koguryo shared the same properties with those of the countries in the Korean Peninsula at the same period, but were different from those of China. It is also noticeable that the national name of Korea, adopted from the national name of Koruryo, was announced to the world and that Korea has been acknowledged as our national name since then. The legitimate lineage of Koguryo > Parhay > Hu-Koguryo > Korea proves that Koguryo belonged to Korea historically, Third, the names of kings were very similar among the Three Kingdoms, but distinct from those of China. The names of kings were created on the basis of the sun as well as nature and human functions or activities like nuri (world), Piryu (originated from the name of a river), onjo (all over world), Chumong Hwar-bo (a person who is good at shooting), Paem-bo (a baby crawling like a snake), K\ulcornerchir-bo, Isa-bo, etc. This is a common characteristic among the Three Kingdoms, but clearly different from China. Fourth, the governmental names were very similar among the Three Kingdoms, but distinct from Chinese ones. These linguistic properties shared among the Koguryo, Packche, and Sinra are never accidental, but provide reliable evidence that the countries were founded by the Korean people. Koguryo, therefore, belonged to Korea historically.
Korea national arboretum has worked with the plant taxonomic society of Korea to make the first fully electronic floristic checklist in Korea. The result is an ever-expanding online plant name index containing scientifically authorative, up-to-date information on the approximately 7,000 taxa including cultivars. With 37 contributing taxonomists, KPNI is the largest collaborative research projects ever assembled in Korea. A comprehensive database model for the taxonomic data from literature and other sources is presented, which was devised for the Korea National Plant Index database project (KPNI). Gwangreung database model is based on an approach using entity-relationsip diagram. It encompasses taxa of all ranks, nothotaxa and hybrid formulae, cultivars, full synonymy, basionyms, Korean name, and other nomenclatural information. Ths paper presents an analysis of KPNI work processes and an overview how we are approaching the construction of Gwangreung databaese model. It can help the system engineers of other biological information systems to develop their database based on the accurate and integrative taxonomic database.
Purpose: How to build the attitude on brand is very important, because it affects the positive word of mouth and revisit intention. Brand attachment, brand name, and image congruence play important role on consumer behavior in terms of reinforcing consumers' perception of food service companies and differentiating them from competing brands. Following the planned behavior theory, this paper examines the effect of linking brand attitude to word-of-mouth and revisit intentions in the restaurant sector. Research design, data, and methodology: This paper examines the structural relationship among brand attachment, brand name, image congruence, brand attitude, WOM, and revisit intention. In order to test the purposes of this study, research model and hypotheses were developed. The questionnaire items were modified and used according to the content of this study based on previous studies. All constructs were measured by multiple items tested and developed in the previous research. The study is based on the quantitative method and considered 519 questionnaires fulfilled by customers of restaurants. The data were explored employing the partial least square-structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Frequency analysis was conducted to identify the general characteristics of the survey subjects. To measure the reliability and validity of the measurement tools, confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. Structural model analysis was conducted to verify the research model. Result: The findings demonstrate that brand attachment and brand name had positive effects on attitude while image congruence did not have. Also, attitude had positive effect on WOM and revisit intention. Conclusions: This study expands the literature about WOM and revisit intentions. This study expands prior research in a similar field to which the theory of planned behavior (TPB) is applied, and reveals that brand attachment, brand name, and brand image congruence play an important role in developing brand attitude that affect revisit intention and WOM. And provide guidelines on how to enhance competitiveness in the restaurant sector based on understanding of linking brand attitude to customer loyalty and repeat business. By putting into practice these suggestions in the restaurant industry, brands can easily build up their attitude and boost a positive WOM and the intention to revisit.
The real-name safety management system is to indicate "safety" after inspection by construction personnel before workers use it for the purpose of preventing safety accidents caused by unsafe conditions in temporary facilities and temporary constructions installed at construction sites. Purpose: By implementing the real-name system for safety management at construction sites, the objective is to respond to the "Severe Accident Punishment Act" and to improve the level of safety management at the same time. Method: In this study, a hierarchical analysis model was produced through previous studies of actual conditions such as types of safety incidents and causality at construction sites. The AHP model was used to calculate integrated weights and rankings with a pairwise comparison questionnaire for experts. Conclusion: As a result of the analysis of the upper classes, construction machinery was evaluated the highest, and real-name management system was evaluated the lowest. As a result of the lower-level analysis, it was considered that opening doors for safety facility management, tower cranes for construction equipment, management under the "Occupational Safety and Health Act" under the real-name management system, and CEO duties for safety management organizations were the most important.
This paper analyzes information on Augmented Widen the Core Powder (加味普正散) (AWCP) in the Dr. Kim Young Hoon's medical record database, Cheongang Medical Records. AWCP is a prescription that is not found in the existing medical texts, yet is referred to in Dr. Kim Young Hoon's medical record database. By examining these records, this study shows that the original prescription for AWCP was Decoction for Rectifying the Qi with Cyperus and Kudzu (香葛正氣飮) and that this prescription was deeply related to Rectify the Qi Powder Worth More Than Gold (不換金正氣散) as well as Cyperus and Kudzu Decoction (香葛飮). In addition, AWCP had several names over a long period of time, and its name changed from the Powder of Relieving Lives and Rectifying the Qi (普救正氣散) to AWCP. In particular, this study shows that the term 'gami' (加味 augmented) indicates a change in prescription name, not a change in the composition of the prescription.

The aim of this paper is two-fold. First, it examines the romanization of personal names of the teachers who teach English at a university and compares it with the romanization of the general public to see whether there is a unity between the two groups. Second, it explores whether the teachers romanize their personal names consistently and, if they don't, how differently they romanize their names. The data used in this study are the romanized names of the 313 authors who published their articles in The Journal of English Language and Literature from 1991 to 2000. The study shows that the English teachers and the general public differ in the order of the given name and surname as well as formatting. Most of the English teachers prefer to put their surnames last while the majority of the general public put their surnames first. The English teachers opt Gn-Gn and Gngn whereas the general public select Gn Gn for their given names. However, both groups, in general, spell the surname with the same Roman alphabets. The study also shows that the English teachers frequently reverse the order of the given name and surname, and change the formatting of their given names. They, however, spell their names rather consistently. This result indicates that Koreans may be lenient with the order of the given name and surname and formatting of their given names. However, they will unlikely change the spelling of their names even when a new policy on personal names is promulgated.
Haedae(海帶, haidai) is representative herb from seaweeds, but its origin is still confusing. Thus we analyzed its origin on the basis of classics of oriental medicine. The scientific name of Haedae corresponds to Zostera marina, according to the folkloric use. But, it is Laminaria japonica, according to its habitat, morphological feature, and the korean name on the medical books in Joseon since 17c. In the remote past, it seemed that two groups were segragated by the name of Zostera marina Haedae and Laminaria japonica Haedae. However, it is thought that this two trends were mixed up when medical knowledge was compiled in Song Dynasty era. Documental support inclined to Laminaria japonica, but it is too early to conclude that Laminaria japonica is the Haedae. To prove this hypothesis, further study is required to investige whether Laminaria japonica or Zostera marina has mentioned efficacies of Haedae used for the treatment of wen, San syndromes, edema, scrofula, etc. And we have need of research that solve the origin problem of Gonpo(Laminariae thallus) on the assumption that Laminaria japonica is Haedae.

The law for indicating the address based on the street name has taken effect in 1997. The address based on land-lot number will be changed to the address based on the street name giving odd numbers to the buildings situated on the left side and even numbers to the buildings situated on the right side per street. Searching locations by street name addresses is possible for residential areas, on the other hand, the system of finding locations is insufficient for farmlands, mountains and others, so it is unable to cope with crimes and emergency rescue. In order to make up for the weak points of street name address, the national point number, grid reference system was introduced for finding location of non-residential areas. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to help the introduction the national point number. In this paper, we proposed a territory-oriented control point and grid range for the national point number. Numbering scheme of grid zone shall be alphanumeric, a two-letter pair Hangul and the grid coordinates in terms of Easting and Northing. We also proposed the notice area for the national point number and location of signs, application about the public and private sector.
The present study was aimed to determine if endogenous L-arginine-nitric oxide (NO) pathway has central, rather than peripheral, mechanisms in blood pressure regulation. Arterial blood pressure and heart rate responses to acute inhibition of the t-arginine-NO pathway were examined in rats anesthetized with thiopental (50 mg/kg, IP). An intracerebroventricular (ICV) cannula was placed in the left lateral ventricle. The right femoral artery was cannulated to measure arterial blood pressure and the vein to serve as an infusion route. $N^G-nitro-L-arginine$ methyl ester (L-NAME) was infused either intracerebroventricularly or intravenously. ICV infusion $(1.25\;{\mu}L/min)$ of L-NAME $(20\;or\;100\;{\mu}g/kg)$ per minute for 60 min) increased the mean arterial pressure and heart rate. Plasma renin concentrations(PRC) were significantly lower in L-NAME-infused group than in the control. L-Arginine $(60\;{\mu}g/min,\;ICV)$ prevented the pressor response to ICV L-NAME. The pressor response was not affected by simultaneous intravenous infusion of saralasin, but was abolished by hexamethonium treatment. Intravenous infusion $(40\;{\mu}L/min,\;10{\sim}100\;{\mu}g/kg\;per\;minute\;for\;60\;min)$ also increased blood pressure, while it decreased heart rate. These results indicate that endogenous L-arginine-NO pathway has separate central and peripheral mechanisms in regulating the cardiovascular function. The central effect may not be mediated via activation of renin-angiotensin system, but via, at least in part, activation of the sympathetic outflow.
