  • To report improvement of 2 hospitalized patients who had clavicle fractures due to traffic accident with Korean medicine complex treatment. We collected a data from February 2020 to April 2022. A total of 2 patients were studied and we compared numeric rating scale (NRS), neck disability index (NDI), range of motion (ROM) at admission and discharge date of hospitalization. After receiving an average of 28.5 days of Korean medicine inpatient treatment, both patients had reduced NRS, NDI scores and increased ROM. After Korean medicine complex treatment, 2 patients with clavicle fracture showed to have been effective. But further studies need to be done.

Methods : From December 1, 2003 to January 31, 2004, 11 patients with acne were observed, limited to patients who were teated with JDS for more than three weeks. JDS mined with cold water was used on outbreaks of acne, 15 minutes. 1 time per night, 6 times per week. Results & Conclusions : 3 males and 8 females were treated ever three weeks, The average age was 21.73 years old. Before treatment, ache patients had sparse papules on the forehead. both cheeks, and chin, After treatment over three weeks, nine acne patients changed for ihe better at a rate of $81.8\%$ (mild improved $54.6\%$, improved $18.2\%$, much improved $9\%$)

  • Objectives The aim of this review is to analyze research trends on the Korean medical treatment and study of fracture. Methods We searched 38 studies related treatment of fracture via Korean medicine web databases. We classified these studies by three types (experimental reports, case reports and retrospective reports) and researched how to treat the patient of fracture. Results 38 studies were published since 1993 and published every year since 2004 to 2013. There were 8 experimental reports, 20 case reports and 10 retrospective reports. Most of these studies were effective to treat of fracture. Bee venom treatment and Hua-Tuo-Jia-Ji-Xue acupuncture treatment were more effective than general treatment. Conclusions These results suggest that Korean medicine is effective treatment to fracture and we need continuously agonize and research more effective therapy method.

  • Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with storage, voiding, and post-micturition reduce quality of life and cause mental health problems. In traditional medicine, Baliao points have been empirically used to treat urinary system diseases. In this review, randomized controlled trials (RCTs) using sacral acupuncture on Baliao points with sham treatment, other remedies, or other acupoints were retrieved from 8 electronic databases up to June 2021. Sixteen RCTs met the inclusion criteria. The quality of the included studies was assessed using a risk-of-bias (ROB) tool. Most of the evaluation indicators used in the included RCTs showed that sacral acupuncture had a significant therapeutic effect compared with the sham control intervention groups, and other remedies. However, all studies using acupoints (other than the Baliao points) as a control intervention had a "high" ROB and only reported secondary processed information, making it difficult to evaluate the efficacy of sacral acupuncture treatment for LUTS. No serious adverse effects were reported for sacral acupuncture, and only a low number of minor side effects were observed. These results suggest that sacral acupuncture could be considered as an alternative to existing treatments, with the added benefit of low cost. Large-scale, long-term RCTs are required in the future.

  • Sebum is an oily substance produced by sebaceous glands in human skin. The differentiation of the sebaceous gland is remarkably species-specific and sebocytes may play crucial parts in the pathophysiologic processes and disorders of pilosebaceous unit. In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effect of Ficis folium on the lipid production using the human sebocyte cell line 5195. Our results showed that Ficis folium significantly inhibits synthesis of sebaceous lipids such as cholesterol esters, triglycerides, and total lipid. And Ficis folium supressed cytoplasmic lipid droplets. On the other hand, Ficis folium didn't effect on cell proliferation. These results suggest treatment with Ficis folium resulted in a lower lipid synthesis in SZ95 cells without cytotoxicity.

  • Objective : To evaluate the effect of Muscular Acupuncture and Muscle Energy technique on Frozen Shoulder. Methods : The authors observed the patient by Visual Analogue Scale for pain, Range of Motion, Shoulder Pain and Disability Index. Conclusions : 1. Visual Analogue Scale for patient's shoulder pain was significantly decreased. 2. Shoulder Pain and Disability Index was also significantly decreased. 3. Shoulder Movement was significantly improved, so the patient recovered her own normal Range of Motion. 4. Muscular Acupuncture and Muscle Energy Technique can be used as effective treatments on Frozen Shoulder.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of Seunggal-tang gamibang (SGT) on the PMA plus A23187-induced RBL-2H3 cells. Methods The effect of SGT on ${\beta}$ -hexosamonidase release, passive cutaneous anaphylaxis, $TNF-{\alpha}$ production and IL-4 secretion was studied. Results SGT inhibited the release of ${\beta}$ -hexosamonidase in RBL-2H3, without affecting cell viability. The passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) was inhibited by the SGT. Moreover SGT also reduced production of $TNF-{\alpha}$ and secretion of IL-4 in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusions SGT has anti-allergy effects on the RBL-2H3 cells.

  • Objective: It has been attempted to find out that Homine Placents and Soyeom mixed Pharmacopuncture (HSP) procedure is effective for the removal of melanocytic nevus of considerable size which cannot be applied to general acupuncture. Methods: Hominis placenta (0.5ml) and Soyeom (0.5ml) mixed pharmacopuncture (1.0ml) was subcutaneously injected in several places of melanocytic nevus. The treatment was performed about 20 times, once a week. Layer analysis of pigmentation was carried out using ECOSKIN. Results: One year after the HSP procedure, the pigmentation of the melanocytic nevus was slightly reduced and completely removed after 2 years of procedure. Conclusion: The HSP could be effective for removing hyperpigmentation in the melanocytic nevus.
