  • This research explores the scientific reasoning of pre-service elementary teachers in experimental design. The article focuses on pre-service teachers' responses to the questions in the worksheets which involve making their knowledge claims on extinguishing of a burning candle in a closed container, evaluating anomalous data, and designing experiment to test their ideas. Their responses are interpreted in terms of categories developed by Tytler and Peterson(2003, 2004). The interrelationship between conceptual knowledge and scientific reasoning is explored using the data. It is argued that coordination of ideas and evidence must be emphasized in the scientific investigations rather than fair test.

  • Elementary school pupils frequently have difficult acquiring creative writing skills, i.e. how to develop the idea to be expressed, how to compose the materials of the outcome or contents. In this paper, we focus on the problems of how to support creative writing work to arrange materials in order to formulate ideas as the stories develop. the stories develop. The basic ideas behind the method are that(1) a basic story is automatically generated by GA-based operations and shown to a user as sequences of pictures, (2) IGA(Interactive Genetic Algorithm) is used to evaluate and select a preferred story, (3) the results are combined with previously stored stories using case-based techniques. Based on these ideas, we have developed a computer supported environment for this purpose and conducted related experiments.

  • Modeling exercise course in interior design has a very important meaning as a foundation course for processing ideas and developing creativities. Therefore, this study helps pupils in processing and developing ideas and dragging out the various thoughts. So it brings the motives out against the studying design and plays the role against the idea development, which means it helps them to produce their own identities through this course. Hence, it is important, now, to understand the main theme of this course to sort out the matters-to-be-improved in the field of design.

  • The Modern architecture, generally represented as Functionalism, had brought the important problems of the absence of cultural meaning and of the public alienation. Robert Venturi is one of the major architects who suggested the new theory of Architecture. Postmodernism, for solving these problems . Therefore the purpose of this study is to analyze his design ideas and works especially for four residential projects : Vanna Venturi House, Guild House, Brant Johnson House and Brant House, His design ideas are Complexity and Contradition, Symbolism. Ornamentalism and Pluralithy of meaning . The various historical and traditional elements are refereed as symbolic and ornamental elements. The symbolic and cultural meaning of architecture through their images, memories, and associations concerning historical motifs help communicate with the public . Robert Venturi tries to pursuit Populism in architecture through historical allusion and pop art.

  • Kano model has been widely used to identify and classify customer attributes of a product or a service. The first step of Kano model application is the derivation of customer attributes, and brainstorming has been used conventionally for the purpose. A typical advantage of brainstorming is to get many ideas in a relatively short period, but the practicability of the derived ideas are known to be not so good. The derivation of good and practical ideas is important for the successful use of Kano model. Wish list, bug list and forced connection method as well as brainstorming were applied to PMP(Portable Multimedia Player) in order to derive customer attributes. To compare the idea generation methods, the derived attributes are classified and compared using Kano model.

  • The active promotion of construction technology application, aimed at cost reduction, construction time shortening, and performance enhancement during the implementation of Value Engineering (VE) in design, is underway. However, in the process of deriving VE ideas, it is common to simply reuse VE ideas from similar past construction projects, and the application of construction technology is often insufficient. Therefore, in this study, we intend to establish a database linking construction technology information with Building Information Modeling (BIM) models to activate the application of construction technology in the process of deriving VE ideas.

  • Background: Due to the importance of evidence-based research in plastic surgery, the authors of this study aimed to assess the accuracy of ChatGPT in generating novel systematic review ideas within the field of craniofacial surgery. Methods: ChatGPT was prompted to generate 20 novel systematic review ideas for 10 different subcategories within the field of craniofacial surgery. For each topic, the chatbot was told to give 10 "general" and 10 "specific" ideas that were related to the concept. In order to determine the accuracy of ChatGPT, a literature review was conducted using PubMed, CINAHL, Embase, and Cochrane. Results: In total, 200 total systematic review research ideas were generated by ChatGPT. We found that the algorithm had an overall 57.5% accuracy at identifying novel systematic review ideas. ChatGPT was found to be 39% accurate for general topics and 76% accurate for specific topics. Conclusion: Craniofacial surgeons should use ChatGPT as a tool. We found that ChatGPT provided more precise answers with specific research questions than with general questions and helped narrow down the search scope, leading to a more relevant and accurate response. Beyond research purposes, ChatGPT can augment patient consultations, improve healthcare equity, and assist in clinical decision-making. With rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), it is important for plastic surgeons to consider using AI in their clinical practice to improve patient-centered outcomes.

  • To understand South Korea's economic success several contending paradigms have emerged, ranging from a neo-classical explanation to a statist perspective, and Schumpeterian structuralism. The Korean miracle can be seen as a product of multiple factors involving the strategic choice of export-led growth, timely and active human-capital investment, business activism, and individual innovative ideas. However, South Korea needs more complex and innovative ideas to continue its both economic growth and S&T Development. The ideas of Schumpeterian structuralist needs to be more emphasized. Changing state-society relations and subsequent policy choice are greatly influenced by the industrial life cycle. The industrial life cycle is closely related to the historical sequencing and diffusion of technology. The complex mixture of statist-market-Schumpeterian structuralist perspectives could lead more technologically advanced society in South Korea.

  • In this paper, inquiry-oriented mathematics instruction was suggested as a teaching method to foster mathematical creativity. And it is argued that inquiry learning assist students to explore the mathematical problem actively and thus participate in mathematical activities like mathematicians. Through inquiry activities, the students learn mathematical ideas and develop new and creative mathematical ideas. Although creativity is often viewed as being associated with exceptional ability, for mathematics teacher who want to develop students' mathematical creativity, it is productive to view mathematical creativity as a mathematical ability that can be fostered in general school education. And also, both teacher and student have to think that they can develop mathematical ideas by themselves. That is very important to foster mathematical creativity in the mathematics class.
