Today, China is drawing the attention of the entire world with rapid economic growth that commenced with the opening of its economy. The world recognizes the value of China as a massive market that will eventually lead the global economy in the future. This paper is devoted to basic research on Chinese apparel consumers and is intended to help apparel market developments in China. Its aim is to understand the distinct characteristics of China and to study general apparel designs and purchasing preferences necessary for the development of products that can meet the special needs of Chinese consumers. In addition it identified clothing behaviors to better understand the distinct characteristics of Chinese female college students preferences. The research showed that Chinese female college students preferred achromatic, dark blue, and red colors in decreasing order, and cotton and wool textiles. For style, they preferred designs that accentuated individuality. Also, comfort played an important role in purchasing. Behaviorally, they had strong interests in fashion but valued economic and pragmatic aspects when it came to purchasing, and were not much affected by the desire for identification. From research results, the paper concludes that there is a need for developing comfort-enhancing products for highly individual Chinese female college students, with designs uniquely preferred by them, and valueadded apparel products targeted for upper social levels.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was not only to collect data on acculturative stress, social support and self-efficacy for Chinese students studying in Korea but also to research the correlation between them to identify factors that affect acculturative stress. Method: Subjects included 143 Chinese students studying at a university located in J city of Chungbuk province in Korea, between September 4th to 20th 2010. Data were analyzed by SPSS/WIN 18.0 version, using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression. Result: Acculturative stress correlated with social support and self-efficacy. Regression model of the factors that affect acculturative stress consisted of major GPA, self-efficacy and student satisfaction of studying in Korea, with factors explaining 17.6% of the results. Conclusions: The findings suggest that on the basis of the results of this study, more studies are needed to identify additional different factors that affect acculturative stress as well as to develop nursing intervention programs for physical and psychological support, to help students studying abroad to become acculturated and devote themselves to study their studies.
Purpose: Nursing students experience a high degree of perceived stress during skills training. The resulting academic sentiment is worthy of research. This study examined the learning motivation as a mediator in the association between perceived stress and positive deactivating academic emotions in nursing students undergoing skills training. Methods: A survey was conducted on 386 third-year undergraduate nursing students at a university in Changchun, China, in 2017. The survey included the items on perceived stress, learning motivation during nursing skill training, and general academic emotion. There were 381 valid responses (response rate=98.7%). Based on the results of partial correlation and stepwise multiple regression equations, the study examined the mediation model between perceived stress, learning motivation and positive-deactivating academic emotions using process 2.16 (a plug-in specifically used to test mediation or moderation effect in SPSS). Results: There was a significant negative correlation between students' perceived stress and learning motivation during nursing skills training and positive-deactivating academic emotions. Nervousness, loss of control, and interest in developing reputation had significant predictive effects on positive-deactivating academic emotions. The mediating model was well supported. Conclusion: Learning motivation during nursing skills training lessened the damage of perceived stress on positive-deactivating academic emotions. Improving students' motivation to learn could reduce their perceived stress and build more positive emotions. Positive emotions during learning played an important role in helping nursing students improve skills and enhance their nursing competence.

This study was conducted to identify the relations between dietary habits, dietary attitude nutritional knowledge and life stress among high school girls in Korea and China. SUBJECTS/METHODS: The subjects of this study were 221 high school girls in Korea and 227 high school girls in China. The questionnaire were about dietary habits, dietary attitude, nutritional knowledge and life stress. RESULTS: The dietary habits of chinese girls were healthier than those of Korean girls with a significant difference (P < .001). There was no significant difference in dietary attitude between Korean girls and Chinese girls. Korean girls had more nutritional knowledge than Chinese girls with a significant difference (P < .001). Korean girls did less physical exercise but spent more time watching TV and using PCs, compared to Chinese girls. Korean girls' degree of confidence in nutrition information that they had learned and their performance in their real lives were low. Also, they had a low level of awareness of the need for nutritional education. There was no significant difference in life stress between the two groups. Dietary habits had a significantly negative correlation with life stress in both Korean and Chinese girls (P < .01, P < .001). As for Chinese students, dietary attitude had a negative correlation with life stress with a significant difference (P < .05). As for Korean girls, nutritional knowledge had a negative correlation with life stress with a significant difference (P < .05), which means as life stress was less, dietary habits were better. CONCLUSIONS: This study shows that effective nutrition education programs should include components that encourage application of learned nutrition information to real life, increase physical exercise and reduce life stress.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify resilience's mediating effect between acculturative stress and depression among Chinese students in Korea. Methods: Between February and May 2012, 276 Chinese students from 3 universities located in Chungnam province participated in the current study using a questionnaire survey. Data was analysed using SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The mean score of acculturative stress, resilience, and depression was 82.7, 129.0, and 15.6 respectively. The acculturative stress was significantly related to perceived health status (F=10.57, p<.001), TOPIK(t=7.55, p=.006) and the major(F=2.87, p=.024). Resilience was related to the race(F=13.49, p<.001), perceived heath status (F=10.57, p<.001), tuition(F=8.52, p<.001), and level of Koran language(F=5.91, p=.003). Resilience correlated to acculturative stress (r=-0.21, p<.001) and depression(r=-0.48, p<.001) by showing a mediating effect between accuturative stress and depression. Conclusion: In order to improve resilience as a mediating factor with depression of Chinese students in Korea, we suggest the development various programs about external supporting programs.
