Effective Component Contents and Antioxidative Activities of Unripe Apple by Extraction Methods (추출방법에 따른 미숙사과 추출물의 유용성분 함량 및 항산화 활성)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum extraction method suitable for the availability of biological activities in unripe apples known to be rich in functional components. Unripe apples 'Hongro' picked on May 28th, 2019 were extracted by various extraction methods (hot water, ethanol, enzymatic pre-treatment, ultrasonic wave, and subcritical water) and their extracts were investigated yield, effective component contents, and antioxidant activities. Overall, the yields by the extraction solvent were higher in water than in organic solvent(ethanol) because water-soluble compounds were eluted from a polar solvent. Total phenol contents of the ultrasonic wave (ethanol) extracts were significantly higher in 6 times than hot water extract. Contents of flavonoid were highest in the ethanol extract at 29.14 mg QE/g. Contents of tannin and ursolic acid were also significantly higher in the ultrasonic wave (ethanol) extract. The DPPH radical and ABTS radical scavenging activities were the strongest in the ultrasonic wave (ethanol) extract. Correlation between effective components and antioxidant activities was high in the total phenol content with ABTS and the ursolic acid content with DPPH (p<0.01). The above results suggested that ultrasonic wave (ethanol) extract of unripe apples has the potential to act as a functional material.

The Effects of the Favorability of Korean Food on the Favorability of Korean Wave, Country Image, and Visit Intention to Korea : Focused on Young Vietnamese (한식콘텐츠 이용 경험자에게 형성된 한식호감도가 한류호감도, 국가이미지, 한국 방문의도에 미치는 영향 : 베트남 2030세대를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of Korean food contents influence to the Korean wave favorability, country image, and visit intention to Korea. Korean food contents are defined as that information or contents related with Korea food. In this survey, total 4 type of Korean food contents, Korean food recipe contents, Korean food culture story contents, Korean food restaurant guide contents and Korean food media contents were explained. The respondents were 147 young Vietnamese in residing in Ho Chi Minh city. The data were analyzed by PLS-SEM to explore influence of Korean food favorability with Korean food contents usage. After using Korean food contents, Korean food favorability influence country image and visit intention to Korea, mediating with Korean wave favorability. While Korean food favorability was not shown to influence visit intention directly. This study would contribute to make strategic Korean food contents and distribution, further accord with Hansik Globalization.

Study of Korean Wave's The Origin and the Usage (한류의 어원과 사용에 관한 연구)

  • Asia has shown a tendency that a certain country's culture leads the fashion in turn every 10 years. The trend of Hong Kong movies in 1980's was called 'Hong Kong Wave', the trend of Japanese animation and games in 1990's was called 'Japanese Wave', and then the 'Korean Wave' began in the late 1990's. This term '~Wave(流)' is a Japanese-style term meaning '~way', '~style', '~group', and so on. In the same manner, recent popularity of Taiwanese TV dramas and a particular star that is in fashion in Japan are called 'Taiwanese Wave', and Chinese movies, broadcast, tourism, and etc. are called 'Chinese Wave'. Thus, the term 'Korean Wave' is a part of expression '~wave' used in Japan and it started to be used in the mean time, and was officially used in <韓流-Song from Korea>, a promotion record of Korean pop music, produced by Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Korea. In this paper I propose to correct the error of the term 'Korean Wave', and furthermore, to define a term expressing Korean culture and study for its usage.

Examining the Korean Wave Wanghong Media of China - Based on Viewing Satisfaction and Cultural Acceptance (한류 왕홍 미디어에 관한 연구 - 시청만족도와 문화 수용성을 중심으로)

  • This study defined the Creators who produce video contents related to Korean Wave in the form of one-person media and takes an influential role in China as the 'Korean Wave(Hallyu) Wanghong Media'. This study aimed at examining the effects of viewing motivation and behavior on satisfaction and cultural acceptance. The survey was conducted on 240 respondents who have watched the contents on China's Bilibili video site. As a result, among five different motivations, the higher the level of 'cultural curiosity', 'entertainment', and 'empathy', the higher the satisfaction. Examining the effect of viewing behavior on satisfaction, 'frequency', the act of 'sharing' and 'participating' had positive effects. Furthermore, 'cultural curiosity' and 'satisfaction' were the factors of positive influence on cultural acceptance. The results of this study can enhance the understanding of Korean Wave Wanghong Media and further contribute to continuous development.

  • This research the impacts of the tourism motivation and tourism product experimentiality to the korea national image and the results are as follow. First, chinese tourist' on korean wave showed sensory experiences of experiential marketing, emotional experience, cognitive experiences positively affect to the festival brand loyalty. Second, it showed all items of sensory experiences of experiential marketing, emotional experience, cognitive experiences positively affect to the festival brand loyalty. Through these results, first, Necessity is the possibility of knowing the thing there was grasp about tourism motive difference of the cold Chinese tourists' on korean wave. Second, there must be to cold current tourism goods development, must provide the possibility of knowing the thing was an experience characteristic to the tourists. With this character direction, presented a ongoing search that cold current korean wave tourism market measurement from governmental dimension, cold korean wave tourism goods development which applies the contents from enterprise dimension, theoretical foundation data triangular position from scientific dimension.

Effect Relationship among Korean Wave Involvement, National and Tourist Destination Image and Visit Intention (한류관여도와 국가 및 관광지 이미지 그리고 방문의도와의 영향관계)

  • The Korean wave refers to the spread of Korean popular culture from China to all over the world. The Korean wave has been improving the national image and creating a new brand value for Korea as a symbolic soft power. Its spread has been operating as a kind of energy that is fueling national competition. The Korean wave creates a new type of tour and increases tourists' intention to visit special places revealed indirectly through mass media. People can vary highly in terms of awareness, attitude and behavioral pattern according to the degree of care for and interest in something. This is called involvement. Three hypotheses were established to study the effect of the Korean wave in terms of involvement. First of all, it confirms whether the Korean wave involvement affects national image and image as a tourist destination. Second, it confirms whether national image affects Korea's image as a tourist destination. Third, it confirms whether the Korean wave involvement affects intention to visit Korea. The certification results of these hypotheses confirm that the Korean wave affects national image, Korea's image as a tourist destination, and intention to visit Korea. The national image also partly affects its image as a tourist destination.

  • We compared electromagnetic(EM) wave absorption properties between Alnico magnet (A) and (B) with different magnetic properties. Also, we investigated the effect of carbon, thickness of absorbers, and Alnico contents on EM wave absorption, and clarified the relation between Alnico content and central frequency.

  • This paper is 1) to find out possibility of expansion which connect with Korea foods and Korea wave, 2) to analyze how Korea Wave effects on Korean food's recognition and purchase intention. The questionnaires are distributed 200 who had visited in Korea and used for data analysis 184. The findings are showed up as followed; The first, Korea wave showed up Korea wave culture factor, and recognition divide into two factors such as Korea food's function and Korea food's recognition. The second, Korea wave culture had strong influence on Korean food's function factor. The third, Korea wave culture had highly influence on purchase intention which is cooking food at home, visiting Korean restaurant, and recommendation to many acquaintance. The fourth, Korea food's recognition had high recognized on purchase intention.

South Korean Culture Goes Latin America: Social network analysis of Kpop Tweets in Mexico

  • Previous studies of the Korean wave have focused mainly on fan clubs by taking an ethnographic approach in the context of countries in Southeast Asia and, in a minor extension, Europe. This study fills the gap in the literature by providing a social network analysis of Tweets in the context of Mexico. We used the Twitter API in order to collect Twitter comments with the hashtag #kpop from March to August 2012, analyzing them with a set of webometric methodologies. The results indicate that #kpop power Twitterians in Mexico were more likely to be related to the public television broadcast. The sent Tweets were usually related to their programs and promotion for Kpop artists. These Tweets tended to be positive, and according to URLs, not only Kpop but also Korean dramas had considerable influence on the Korean wave in Mexico.

Distribution Channel Preference Accessing 'Korean Wave' in China : Comparing Official and Unofficial Channel

  • Purpose - China has become the world's largest market of Korean culture goods. However the distribution and information channel from which Chinese consumers can access to Korean contents remains under-explored. This study aimed to investigate Chinese consumers' information accessing behavior. Research design, data, and methodology - We collected the sample of 800 customers who are exposed to Korean Wave in China. Regression analysis is used to confirm the relationships in the research model. Results - The results showed that official channels such as state owned sites still play a significant role, Chinese consumers prefer to use unofficial channels and the private SNS is the most popular one. It is also found that users with low interests in Korean contents prefer offline/indirect channels while people who are highly immersed into Korean culture and spend longer time on it tend to favor online/unofficial channels. The results confirms that there are some users' characteristics such as gender, age, income and experience of visiting Korea are relevant to explain their propensity to select distribution and information channels for Korean contents. Conclusions - The study enables managers to develop the more effective distribution channel strategies according to the different target consumer groups.
