Even though we usually analyze logistic market based on confined railway logistics, but this study would like to judge what is potential demand transferable to railway goods through accurate analysis of railway sharing rates by the analysis of origin and destination of each item in total freight transportation market. Accordingly, by analyzing each items transferable to railway, excluding items stuck to original market, this study wants to choose some major items which are expected to lasting demand and activate railway logistics plan by focusing on major items for marketing strategy.

A holistic approach is needed in railway network modernization. What matters is that each route is developed optimally throughout its life to meet business needs - whether the answer at a given point in time is a rail repair or an redevelopment scheme. Modernization of railway network will bring railway systems up-to-date, enabling them to deliver optimal performance. As the result, the railway network modernization for revitalise the railway is based on seeking out optimum conditions for financially efficient infrastructure management, developing infrastructure fully in line with market needs and last but not least, improving railway business.

Recently with the rapid development in mobile communication, the mobile phone are utilized in many fields of railway system within country and abroad and its use tends to increase continuously. In the railway system, the applicable realm is spreaded to the fields of railway signal communication, railway operating, track maintenance, reservation and information service, also its role is expected to increase. In this thesis, we are surveying the usage application of home and abroad mobile phone in railway system. Studying the present condition of mobile communication in railway system, we are viewing the application plan and the direction of development.

Risk management is an important part of system assurance and it is widely used in safety-related system. Railway signal system is one kind of safety-related system and its most important goal is to guarantee the safety of railway system. The method based on risk management can find and solve the security issues of railway signal system more effectively. This paper introduces the basic conception of risk management, studies the whole process of risk management and related tools and techniques and discusses some key points qualitatively combining with the particularity of railway signal system.

The article expounds that the speed competition is the motive force of each transportation means. It also analyzes the current condition of the speed of Chinese railways. The developing strategy for Chinese railway is to raise the speed of the existing lines as a primary step and to construct the high-speed railway in selected sections concurrently, which proved that constructing high-speed railway in Beijing-Shanghai area is the best choice.

This study suggests a new paradigm to build the identity of railway culture design, since it plays a critical role in enhancing competitiveness of culture and design. It is considered to be a valuable factor to improve users' satisfaction and to have a new effect on the railway industry. This study is focused on systematic study on the culture ＆ design and competitiveness for railway industry, that emphasizing on making necessary strategic scenarios accordingly. Consequently, it is going to make higher added values to secure a footing and advanced images of railway industry.

Information management of products and services in every industries is gaining importance for resource planning and maintenance. In this paper, we analyzed the information classification systems for railway industry. International and domestic classification systems, such as HS, UNSPSC, eCl@ss and ISIC, are reviewed; as a result this paper presents the findings and the various issues. We proposed to-be images in adopting and utilizing the classification systems. Using the integrative information classification systems could make efficient electronic procurement, supply chain management and e-Business of railway services.

To maintain the stability during the operation of railway vehicle, the perfect installation of rail, namely the orbit as well as the performance of the railway vehicle itself is required. The orbit of railway needs the intensity and elasticity that stands the shock and vibration due to the weight of the railway vehicle enough, Also, the driving safety during the operation of vehicle should be guaranteed, comfortable feeling of the passenger should be maintained, and the influence of the noise and vibration to the environs should be minimized. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program that calculates the change of construction cost according to the selection of railway orbit. This study introduces the orbit design automation program according to the selection of railway orbit, and discuss the principle and the way to use of the program.

This paper describes the dynamic modeling of a railway vehicle when it is under braking force. It is important for the enhancement of braking performance to establish a proper dynamic model of a railway vehicle because the braking performance is affected by some dynamic forces generated by a railway vehicle when it undergoes braking. In this paper, a dynamic model for one vehicle is suggested to compute the dynamic behavior of a railway vehicle in the HILS(Hardware In-the-loop Simulation) system for the railway vehicle braking devices. To simplify the dynamic model, friction between a wheel and a rail is assumed that there exist only the static and the dynamic friction forces. Static friction coefficient is also assumed to be a function of the running speed. Some simulations are carried out with various braking forces, and the braking characteristics according to the change of the braking force are discussed. This study can provide some fundamental results to construct the HILS system for braking devices of a railway vehicle.

The purpose of this study is to analyze human factors - stress, alcohol, fatigue - of the railway driver in domestic railway industry. This study proposes railway safety improvement of domestic railway by intensively comparing railway safety system overseas to reinforce domestic railway safety. Domestic railways well known the well-organized railway safety culture has brought up safety issues on their process of private management. With this process, also, domestic safety is requested by increasing sense of the safety for general public. This study expects Korean railways to become a well-organized that as removing insecure factors of domestic railway based on result comparing and analyzing the manual, factors and requirements of guideline for internal and external safety culture.
