The purpose of this study is to investigate the sports injuries of korea women hockey players before and during the international KT Cup game This study was done by survey questions about injuries of 20 players. The results were as follows: 1. Before game types of injuries are muscular strain ($51\%$), ligament injury ($25\%$), contusion ($8\%$), fracture ($8\%$), abrasion ($8\%$). But the types during game appeared as contusion ($50\%$), ligament injury ($33.3\%$), muscular strain ($16.7\%$). 2. Before game regions of injuries are lower limbs ($45.5\%$), back/torso ($36.4\%$), upper limbs ($18.2\%$). But the regions during game appeared as upper limbs ($71.4\%$), lower limbs ($28.6\%$). 3. During the game, the injuries were caused by ball ($66\%$), collision ($17\%$), that fall ($17\%$). These results indicate the importance that players need enough stretching before they start exercise. Also, in order to protect their upper limbs, players must wear gloves before games

Caudal epiduroscopy has been introduced as an alternative technique for direct injection of epidural steroid and lysis of adhesion. Futher, it gives a better understanding of the role of epidural adhesion in recurrence of sciatica and low back disorder after surgery. We experienced a clinical application of flexible fiberoptic epiduroscope inserted through the sacral canal. A 37-year-old woman was suffering from right lumbar radiculopathy after an operation for a herniated disc. A series of volumetric caudal steroid injections and physical therapy had little effect on her symptoms. Patient was thought to be a good candidate for epiduroscopy. Flexible flberoptic epiduroscopy was as follows: 60 ml of normal saline irrigation and epidurogram, 40 mg of triamcinolone in 10m1 of normal saline was directed around right L5 nerve root. The following morning, patient reported reduced pain in her leg.

A 43 year old man who suffered from right facial palsy was treated successfully with the application of both magnetic resonance diagnostic analyser(MRA) and drug therapy. Treatment of facial palsy is generally composed of stellate ganglion block(SGB), drug therapy and operative intervention. Short periods of exposure to appropriate magnetic resonance can beneficially modulate the balance of autonomic nervous system that are responsible for sympathetic overflow. It was concluded that recovery of facial palsy by application of both MRA and drug therapy was effective in patient who refused SGB.

Percutaneous retrogasserian gangliolysis is suitable for treatment of trigeminal neuralgia because it is simple and effective. Further, it can avoid severe complications such as anesthesia dolorosa or dysesthesia that may develop after surgical procedure. However we have experienced an anesthesia dolorosa(pain in an area or region that is anesthetic) after percutaneous retrogasserian glycerol injection. This deafferentation pain is characterized by scratching, burning or itching sensation; and has shown to be of higher incidence in older and inemotionally unstable patients. Anesthesia dolorosa is relatively rare but difficult to treat. Consideration should be made for the complication which may develop during the procedure.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Gagamhwajung-hwan in five severe alopecia areata patients. Methods : This case study was conducted for five severe alopecia areata patients who visited Korean Medicine Clinic. Herbal medicine(Gagamhwajung-hwan) was prescribed to all five patients. Improvements of patients were evaluated by photographs and SALT(Severity of alopecia tool) scale. Results : According to photographs, hair loss of each patient was completely improved. SALT scale was also decreased in all five patients. Conclusions : This study shows the possibility of using Gagamhwajung-hwan to treat severe alopecia areata.

Objectives : This study was designed to assess the effect of Soyangin Medicines on Soyangin chronic urticaria patients by retrospective methods.Methods : We treated 37 Soyangin chronic urticaria patients who visited Haneulmaeum Korean Medicine Clinic from September 1st 2011 to June 30th 2014. We administrated the Soyangin patients with Soyangin Medicines such as Hyeongbangsabaek-san(荊防瀉白散), Yanggyeoksanwha-tang(凉膈散火湯) and so on for 3 months. We measured the effect biweekly by using Urticaria Activity Score(UAS). We analyzed the information and medical history of patients by Frequency analysis, and UAS by Repeated measures, ANOVA.Results & Conclusions : Every items of UAS were improved by Soyangin Medicines. And the improvement was statistically significant(p<0.05).

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of a Korean Medicine Treatment on 45 facial atopic dermatitis patients. Methods : Total 45 facial atopic dermatitis patients, who has visited korean medical clinic in year 2011 were analyzed by Objective SCORAD Index(OSI) and Investigator's Global Assessment(IGA). Subanalysis of OSI and IGA were done according to topical ointment user/non-user, treatment period and change in IGA distribution. Results : 1. Male and female percent was 20%:80%. 17.8% were teens, 55.6% were twenties, 13.3% were thirties, 13.3% were above age forty. 64.4% were on topical ointment treatment of corticosteroid or calcineurin inhibitor, and 35.6% were not at the initial visit. Patients with family history were 44.4% and 62.2% had atopic dermatitis past history. 2. OSI and IGA were significantly lower after 1~3, 3~6, 6~9 month of treatment. Average post-treatment score was lower in longer-treated group. 3. IGA distribution has changed from average 3.42 at the first visit to 1.76 at final visit. 91.1% of total patients reported decrease in IGA at the final visit. 4. OSI and IGA improvement rate were significantly higher in non-topical ointment user than the user. Age, treatment period, initial OSI and IGA score difference were not significantly different. Conclusion : A significant percent of 45 facial atopic dermatitis patients who were treated with Korean Medicine Treatment reported decrease in OSI and IGA. The difference increased with the treatment period. Non-topical ointment users' improvement was significantly higher than topical ointment user.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effectiveness of Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Gagamchengyoung-tang in the seven patients with seborrheic dermatitis. Methods : This case study was conducted for seven seborrheic dermatitis patients, who have visited Korean Medicine Clinic from 2013.10.01 to 2017.09.30. All seven patients were treated with Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Gagamchengyoung-tang and acupucture. During taking medicine, we let them avoid bad food like fatty food and alcohol. We evaluated the symptom change through photographs and used Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) as the assessment method. Results : VAS such as skin severity of symptoms, sleep disorder, pruritus was decreased as a result of Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Gagamchengyoung-tang and acupucture treatment in seven seborrheic dermatitis patients. Conclusions : After the treatment, the grade of VAS was decreased and most symptoms of seven patients were improved. As a result of examining VAS scores and photographs, Sihochunggan-tang gagambang and Gagamchengyoung-tang can be effective on the seborrheic dermatitis in seven cases in our study.

A conservative treatment approach to temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is recommended as the first line of management, usually with a stabilization splint. Recently, computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing and three-dimensional printer has been widely used in the dentistry since several years ago. The authors apply digital dentistry in oral medicine fields to make stabilization splint for TMD treatment.
