중국인들이 선호하는 한국 드라마의 특성 -인터넷 게시판에 나타난 시청의견을 중심으로- (Characteristics of Korean Dramas Favored by Chinese Viewers -Focused on Internet Bulletin Boards-)

  • 최근 중국에서는 통신기술의 발달로 인터넷 사용인구가 크게 증가했고 인터넷을 이용하여 한국의 드라마를 다운로드해보는 사람이 늘고 있다. 실제로 중국에서의 한류 현황을 살펴보기 위해 실시한 조사에 의하면 대부분의 중국 젊은 층은 한국드라마를 인터넷다운로드 방식을 통해 보고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 인터넷 게시판을 통한 시청의견을 바탕으로 중국인들이 선호하는 한국드라마의 특성을 제작 연도, 방송사, 드라마 유형 및 주제, 주연배우, 감독 등의 변인을 통해 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 선호 드라마의 제작 연도 분석에서 2008, 2009년의 최신 드라마가 선호됨으로써 인터넷 다운로드 시청으로 인해 한국 드라마의 방영 시차가 더욱 좁혀지고 있다는 것을 증명해 주었다. 방송사별로는 차이가 발견되지 않았으며, 드라마 유형에서도 미니시리즈가 가장 선호됨으로써 기존의 연구와 유사한 결과가 도출되었다. 다만, 기존의 연구와 달리, 드라마 주제 면에서 로맨스보다 코믹 장르가 선호되고, 한류 스타 출연 여부보다 주연 배우의 연기력이나 스토리가 한국 드라마의 선호 여부를 좌우하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 감독부분에서는 특정 감독을 선호하기 보다는 장르를 중요하게 여기는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 이 연구는 중국 대학생의 한국 드라마 선택요인에 영향을 미치는 변인이 무엇인지 알아보았다. 이 연구의 참여자는 중국 후난성(湖南省) 지역의 379명 대학생이다. 이 연구의 자료 수집을 위해 온라인 설문조사 프로그램(问卷星, www.wjx.cn)을 이용하였다. 이 연구의 측정 도구는 '한국 드라마 선택요인 측정 도구'로서, 작품완성도(completeness of work)와 인지도(recognition) 등 두 영역으로 구성되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중국 대학생의 한국 드라마 선택요인은 작품완성도가 인지도 요인보다 높다. 둘째, 중국 대학생의 성별, 학년, 연령, 전공, 한국 드라마 시청 빈도에 따라 한국 드라마 선택요인에 차이가 있다. 셋째, 중국 대학생의 선호 장르에 따라 작품 완성도 및 인지도 차원 선택요인에 영향을 미친다. 마지막으로 이 연구의 결과에 따라 논의하였고, 글로벌 시대 한국 드라마의 질적 재도약을 위해 제언하였다. 중국에서 한류 시장 확대를 위해 중국 대학생의 정서를 포용하는 문화 콘텐츠를 개발하고, 중국 청년의 최신 소비 트렌드를 반영하는 전파 전략을 수립하여야 하며, 한국 드라마의 세련된 영상미를 구현하는 것이 필요하다.

TV 드라마에 비친 간호사의 이미지 (An Analysis of the Image of Nurses Portrayed on Korean TV Dramas)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the image of nurses portrayed on Korean TV dramas. Methods: Among the medical dramas aired on TV from 2000 to 2013, sixteen different Korean TV dramas were selected. For analyzing the dramas, 'the checklist for monitoring media images of nurses and nursing' was used after obtaining the permission from the original author. Two evaluators evaluated each drama and synchronized the final scores after comparing individual scores. Results: The roles of nurses were found to be such a supportive role (93.8%), and a professional role (75.0%). The nurses images portrayed on the selected TV drama included being kind, accountable, having humanism (81.2%), and professional insights (56.2%), whereas nurses's administrative role such as a manager were not represented. A half of scenes that nurses showed up, nurses were asking asking for help to doctors or other hospital administrators. Conclusion: Since TV dramas on air in Korea still underrepresented the roles of the professional nurses, providing the media with advice to improve the images of nurses is necessary in future. Concrete and sustainable strategies for improving nurses image are required.

드라마 CD 장단점 비교와 발전방향에 관한 연구 (A Study about Drama CD classification and properties.)

  • 드라마 CD는 One source multi use의 한 사례로써 성우관련 사업이 잘 연계되어 있는 일본에서 널리 퍼진 콘텐츠이다. 이는 이웃한 한국에도 영향을 미쳐 그동안 한국에서도 드라마 CD가 발표되어 오고 있으나 콘텐츠 분야 마켓 쉐어에서의 드라마 CD는 아직 그 입지가 크지 않다. 본 논문에서는 우리나라와 일본의 드라마 CD 시장의 성장을 비교 분석해보고 어떻게 해서 콘텐츠분야에서 강력한 힘을 발휘하는지 드라마CD의 장, 단점을 통하여 그 원동력을 알아보고 우리나라 드라마 CD시장 산업의 발전 방향에 대해 모색해 보도록 한다.

Comics with Drama: New Communication in Wedia

  • We-the-media (aka wedia) is a concept where the users of social networking sites, such as Facebook, turn into the broadcasters. This study used the popular application Bitstrips as the experiment tool. Facebook was used as the Wedia platform for publishing designed comics, then used the three elements of Goffman's dramaturgy model-role, scene and dialog-to analyze 265 comics created by 3 researchers and observe the audience's responses within 9 months. The results showed that people want to see a good story with positive dialogue, and prefer scene is school more than work. As all these elements are controllable, Wedia communication has the potential for more applications. We also found that including the elements of news, gambling and gift-giving tended to trigger greater response. Furthermore, We suggesting that such embedding of product information in web episodes (webisodes) with caricature could be a successful marketing strategy.

Background music monitoring framework and dataset for TV broadcast audio

  • Music identification is widely regarded as a solved problem for music searching in quiet environments, but its performance tends to degrade in TV broadcast audio owing to the presence of dialogue or sound effects. In addition, constructing an accurate dataset for measuring the performance of background music monitoring in TV broadcast audio is challenging. We propose a framework for monitoring background music by automatic identification and introduce a background music cue sheet. The framework comprises three main components: music identification, music-speech separation, and music detection. In addition, we introduce the Cue-K-Drama dataset, which includes reference songs, audio tracks from 60 episodes of five Korean TV drama series, and corresponding cue sheets that provide the start and end timestamps of background music. Experimental results on the constructed and existing datasets demonstrate that the proposed framework, which incorporates music identification with music-speech separation and music detection, effectively enhances TV broadcast audio monitoring.

  • The purpose of this study was to arrange the korean women's hair styles of the beginning of 21st century and make hair style image making chart to use personal image making consulting data through analyze actress hair styles of broadcasting TV drama. To accomplish this purposes, picked up the two most popular dramas per each broadcasting stations, KBS1, KBS2, MBC, SBS, in february 2004. and analyzed and arranged hair styles of actress and at the last made the hair style image making chart. The results of the research are as belows. 1. Hair trends of february 2004. were Modern Sophisticated, Active and Romantic. 2. The results of three classifications of hair style trends, form, color, accessory, were as belows. 1) Form : Layer, left part, straight, low wave, long hair, no volme, bang were in vogue. Generally, Modern Sophisticated, Active, Romantic feeling were in vogue. 2) Color : Black, brown, two tone color were in vogue. Generally Modern Sophisticated, Romantic, Active feeling were in vogue. 3) Accessory : Hair bands & pins were in vogue. Generally these gave the Modern, Active feeling. 3. 드라마 속 중년 여배우의 패션스타일 분석 (An Analysis of Fashion Styles of Middle-aged Actresses in Drama)

  • Middle-aged women, who are rising as the main consumers of modern society spare no cost in health care and enjoying cultural activities along with various changes in life styles. They are active in self-realization and taking care of their appearances, and the lifestyle changes of middle-aged women who prefer fashion of young and trendy sensibilities are becoming a important theme in the media such as dramas. The middle-aged women in dramas have social positions and economic power who contribute to the completion of the drama as a main character, and so their fashion styles are receiving attention. Also, they play the role of providing trend information and various fashion information, which even leads to sales of these fashion products. Hence, this study aims to derive design formative characteristics and fashion styles that current middle-aged consumers prefer and provide basic data for promoting the growth of the Korean fashion industry by analyzing the fashion styles in accordance with the life styles of middle-aged women in dramas who are becoming admired by middle-aged women. The analysis of the fashion of middle-aged female characters in dramas allows to examine the fashion styles per various situations in accordance with the life styles of middle-aged women, and furthermore in the domestic and foreign fashion industry, arranges an opportunity to form a new market for potential fashion exports aimed at foreign consumers who view Korean dramas.

TV 역사 드라마의 격구복식을 위한 연구와 제언 (A Study and the Suggestion of the Costume of Gyeokgu in the TV Historical Drama)

  • This study is to examine the costumes of Gyeokgu in different situations and to suggest when and how they should be used in historical drama. Gyeokgu is a type of polo game that was played in Korea and it was also known as Gyeokbong and Bonghee. The accounts of the game show that it was played during the South-North period as recorded in Balhaego, Haedongyeoksa, and Goryeosa until the Joseon period. The scenes of Gyeokgu have been shown in some historical dramas in order to make the story exciting or to show the life of royalty. The costume of Gyeokgu in the South-North period should be suggested Danryeong(團領), Bokdu, and Haw(靴) in a formal situation. The Gyeokgu in the Goryeo period was a sport for royalty. So the Gyeokgu costume in the Goryeo period was required to be worn with Danryeong(團領), Bokdu, and Haw(靴) for the kings and military officers in the early Goryeo period and with Cheollik(帖裡), Balip or Huklip(黑笠), and Haw(靴) from the middle of the Goryeo period. Women could wear Chima(skirt), Jeogori(blouse), Pyo, and Li(履) when they play Gyeokgu in the Goryeo period in the historical dramas. The Gyeokgu in the early Joseon period was a sport for the kings. After the king of Sejong, the Gyeokgu became a martial art for the military officers. The costume of Gyeokgu in the Joseon period should be Red Cheollik(紅帖裡), Kwadu, Jonglip, Gwangjodae(廣組帶), Sagu, and Haw(靴) as recorded in Muyedobotongji in the 18th century. The kings, servants, and military officers could wear the Cheollik and should be made in the different Git(collar), shape of the sleeves, and the proportion of the upper part and the underpart in each period properly. When the citizens play Gyeokgu, they could wear Geon(巾), Baji(pants), Jeogori(shirt), and Gipsin in the late Joseon period.
