Strategies for activation of the domestic chocolate culture and development of new chocolate market: Activation of chocolate market through fusion with Herbal Bio-industry

  • The aims of this study recognize the limitations of the domestic chocolate market compared to domestic and foreign chocolate market and investigate the strategies for activation of the domestic chocolate culture and development of new chocolate market throughout pointing out the various problems. We analyzed the trends for the food market and confectionery market, main market for chocolate, and also compared domestic and foreign cases for market of chocolate as food or non-food. We sought for solutions and implications for diversification of domestic chocolate market through prospects for the future. Domestic chocolate market is not enough to be competitive compared with overseas market, yet. However, we speculated that domestic chocolate market would gradually develop through fusion with herbal bio-industry as rapid economic development. Besides, we demonstrated a few ways which derive larger development through combination of chocolate market and herbal bio-industry. For these sakes, we suggest that at first, if paradigm which is considered oriental medicinal characters and back innovative and differentiated ideas should be present, the activation of markets of chocolate and herbal bio-industry as well as the diversities of market may be obtained.

  • Recently, ESG bond issuance has been gradually spreading to banks and non-financial private companies in Korea. However, the Korean ESG bond market is still in its infancy in terms of size, diversity and investor base compared to the global ESG bond market. In other words, ESG bonds are rapidly forming in the global market, but are still in the formation stage in the domestic market, and various policy and practical measures such as system, incentives, and infrastructure are needed to activate them. In this paper, we examine the domestic and international status of ESG bonds in relation to responsible investment. In addition, this paper explores specific measures to revitalize the domestic ESG bond market in four aspects: establishing ESG bond standards, procedures and regulations, increasing ESG bond investment demand, increasing ESG bond issuance, building market infrastructure and market efforts. This study is expected to contribute to the development of the domestic ESG bond market and responsible investment.

An Analysis of the Interrelationships between the Domestic and Foreign Stock Market Variations over the Depressed Market Period (주가의 전반적 하락기 국내외 증시 변동간의 연관관계 분석)

  • This study Investigates the short and long-run dynamic relationships between the domestic and U.S. stock markets for the period of declining stock prices. It Is well known that the domestic stock market variations are largely caused by the U.S. stock market movements. Multivariate causal tty test Is utilized to examine the lead-lag relationships among four stock prices of KOSPI and KOSDAQ In the domestic part and DOWJONES and NASDAQ In the U.S. part. When the stock prices tend to decrease In the long run, It Is found that both KOSPI and KOSDAQ have closer relations with NASDAQ than DOWJONES. When both of domestic stock markets are severely fluctuate, bidirectional causal relationships appear to exist between NASDAQ and each of KOSPI and KOSDAQ. On the other hand. when the domestic stock markets are relatively stable, unidirectional causality Is found to exist between NASDAQ and each of KOSPI and KOSDAQ. which is explicitly validated by the analysis of variance decomposition.

A Study on Seafood Market Segmentation by Seafood Preference and Formation Process of Seafood Familiarity Market (수산물 선호도에 의한 시장세분화와 친숙시장 형성과정에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research paper is to segment seafood market and find the factor and process that divide the segment market. Cluster analysis and in-depth interview was performed to identify meaningful segment market. The result of the research found three segment market such as seafood integration familiarity group, domestic seafood familiarity group, seafood unfamiliarity group. Seafood integration familiarity group is active consumer that consume both domestic and imported seafood at home. This group have high preference and familiarity about seafood. Seafood familiarity group purchase imported seafood for the reason that imported seafood is cheaper than domestic seafood and have similar quality level. Domestic seafood familiarity group consume mostly domestic seafood and not purchase imported seafood for the reason that imported seafood have low quality and safety. This group have high preference and familiarity about seafood. Seafood unfamiliarity group is low preference group about seafood and seldom eat at home. This study found that the main factor that divide segment market is seafood familiarity that formed by experiencing seafood in youth and seafood familiarity is main factor that determine consumption degree of seafood at home.

  • Since FERC order 755 was published, each frequency regulation market rules of the North American ISO/RTO have been revised in many parts. In 2016, the domestic CBP market has also changed its market rules to allow ESS to participate in the frequency regulation reserve services(Governor Free and Automatic Generation Control). This paper compares and analyzes the changed North American ISP/RTO market and domestic CBP market rules. In particular, we compare PJM and CAISO frequency regulation market pricing mechanism and settlement rules with the settlement rules of the domestic CBP market and compare the factors of each market used to compensate the participating resources in terms of resource dependency and accuracy.

A Study on Comparison between Korean.Chinese Consumers In the Relationship between Domestic Open Market Brand personality, Customer Satisfaction and Brand Loyalty (국내 오픈마켓 브랜드개성과 고객만족, 애호도와의 관계에서 한.중 소비자간 비교에 관한 연구)

  • At this point in time when the percentage of foreign consumers as well as domestic consumers are being increased in domestic open market users due to the recent interest and promotion on the open market, the purposes of this study are as follows. First, the relationship between open market brand personality, satisfaction and brand loyalty will be clarified targeting all Korean consumers and Chinese consumers using domestic open market. Second, whether there is difference in the effect of domestic open market brand personality on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty between Korean consumers and Chinese consumers will be compared. The results are as follows. First, as a result of testing the study hypothesis targeting the open market users, in other words targeting all Korean consumers and Chinese consumers, only the ability among brand personality dimensions did not have positive effect on the satisfaction toward open market. Other than that, it could be confirmed that the reliability, sincerity and familiarity, etc are important influence factors in forming satisfaction toward open market. Next, as a result of testing whether there is difference in the effect of domestic open market brand personality on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty between Korean consumers and Chinese consumers, it was shown as having difference. In other words, the Korean consumers were shown as not having positive significant effect in the relationship between the ability among brand personality and satisfaction toward open market while all other brand personality dimensions were shown as having positive effect on the satisfaction toward open market. It could be found that if the satisfaction toward open market is high, the brand loyalty toward open market also gets high.

Dynamic Relationship between Domestic Construction Market Condition and Overseas Construction Business (국내 건설경기 변화와 해외건설수주 간의 관계성 분석)

  • This study undertakes a comparative analysis of the correlation between the condition of the domestic construction market and the expansion of overseas projects within construction companies, based on the vector error correction model. The analysis results verified that, in the post-IMF crisis period, domestic construction companies took on more overseas projects only when the residential construction market slowed down. Compared to the pre-crisis period, construction companies grew more responsive to the condition of the domestic market for residential construction, and they took on more overseas construction projects when the domestic market slumped. This is because the business portfolios of Korean construction companies' render them highly vulnerable to the condition of the residential construction market. When the domestic residential market slows down, the business condition of construction companies quickly takes a turn for the worse, and to cope with this, they turn to overseas projects to compensate for the slowing of the domestic market. As the analysis shows, expanding overseas construction projects as a way to turn around business condition amid a slow residential construction market actually undermines the management of the companies even further. In other words, shifting business focus toward an overseas market during a hard time might be useful for securing cash flow, but might not help to restore profitability. Thus, construction companies need to carefully manage their level of business diversification to ensure strategic flexibility.

  • This study analysis the global market trends of information security industry expanding its area through the convergence with other technologies. domestic market of information security industry is expected to show a high growth rate, given that the share of the domestic market in the world market is very low, heightened awareness caused by several information accidents, and the expansion of physical information industry's exports. The crucial point to note is the prospect that the domestic market will be led by its product market, but global market will be spearheaded by its service market. Consequently, to overcome current slump, it is need to establish market promotion strategies focused on fostering the information security service market which is higher value added than information security product market.

  • Market share is one of the most important measures in the valuation of prospering firm. It plays a role of composite indicator for the competitiveness of firm. So, the understanding of the underlying process of market share is inevitable factor for the econometricians and the business engager. Lately, the Korean Economy has been placed in the control of IMF. This shock will cause a lot of influence over the domestic economy. The idea that the information about the past shock-response experience will do us good for dealing with this kind of economic shocks is not new. Among numerous markets, we pay attention to the durable goods market, especially automobile market. The automobile market has large repercussion effect over the domestic economy on the issue of both national employment and technology integration. We divided the Korean automobile market into three segments: small, medium, and large-sized car, while each proportion of these segments has been changing slowly. We propose a Bayesian approach to detect and forecast structural changes in time series of the market shares in the domestic automobile market, especially for level shifts and drift changes, and compare the empirical results with other existing approaches.
