The paper analyzes the impact of EC and NAFTA integration upon Korea and other 3rd countries and studies policies how to react against them particularly in the field of aviation and tourism industry. Chapter 2 introduces the contents of each step and process of EC integration in the field of aviation and tourism industry. Chapter 3 analyzes the contents of integration and cooperation of NAFTA in the field of aviation and tourism industry. Chapter 4 studies the regulation or deregulation policy of EC and NAFTA toward the industry of non-EC and non-NAFTA area. Chapter 5 surveys and analyzes about the policies and strategies of Japan, ASEAN and the 3rd countries. Finally, Chapter 6 analyzes the impact on Korean aviation and tourism industry and proposes some suggestions on the future policy of Korea independently or in association with the neighboring countries such as Japan and China against the integration of EC and NAFTA.

In this paper, we have proposed license plate recognition system for multi-national vehicle license plate using geometric features along with hybrid and seven segment pattern vectors. In the proposed system, we suggested to find horizontal and vertical relation after going through preparation process with inputted real-time license plate image of Korea and Japan, and then to classify license plate with using characteristic and geometric information of license plates. It classifies the extracted license plate images into letters and numbers, such as local name, local number, classification character and license consecutive numbers, and recognize license plate of Korea and Japan by applying hybrid and seven segments pattern vectors to classified letter and number region. License plate extraction step of the proposed system uses width and length information along with relative rate of Korean and Japanese license plate. Moreover, it exactly segmentation by letters with using each letter and number position information within license plate region, and recognizes Korean and Japanese license plates by applying hybrid and seven segment pattern vectors, containing characteristics related to letter size and movement within segmented letter area. As the result of testing the proposed system in real experiment, it recognized regardless of external lighting conditions as well as classifying license plates by nations, Korea and Japan. We have developed a system, recognizing regardless of inputted structural character of vehicle licenses and external environment.

In this study, we aimed to build the basic calculation model for linkage effects of fishery industry among Korea, China and Japan. For the calculation, we reconstructed the asian international input-output table, and on the basis of the reconstructed table, we made some analyses on the inter-relations among 3 nations focusing fishery industry. As the results, some positive backward linkage offsets of the fishery industries were found among 3 nations, and especially, production inducing effect of Chinese fishery industry to Japanese supplier was remarkable.

This stdudy intended to analysis the achievements of science education in primary, secondary and high school in Korea and Japan based on the IEA(the Internationl Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement) data. Advancing in school level. Korean students were inferior to Jatopanese in Science achievements, especially much more in comprehension, application than knowledge aspect. This results were roughhly discussed in relation to the environments of science edecation and the evlation systems.

Information system audit of Korea is different from that of the United States of America, Japan and so on. Information system audit improves the quality of information system. Information system audit of Korea carried out administrative branches. Recently Public sides required ordinary audit frequently. The reason is that the risk of information system project has increased. Examined closely relation between audit quality and audit style such as ordinary audit, fixed period audit, residence audit, and responsibility audit. And, wished to examine closely relation between audit quality and customer satisfaction. As research result, being effect factor that audit style keeps in mind in audit quality, also, audit quality in audit satisfaction, and was proved that exert effect that ordinary audit, report to the responsibility audit or sense of responsibility state keeps in mind in audit satisfaction.

This study was intended to make a comparative analysis of the plastic features of Korean and Japanese dragon patterns found in the process of recreating traditions in comtemporary fashion based on the investigation into the style of expression in relation to the origin, formative evolution, symbolism and traditional costume of the dragon. The form of the dragon has evolved with some similarity and peculiarity between both countries and been changed into many kinds and diverse forms such as the humorous dragon pattern of the Yi Dynasty and the simplified and designed dragon pattern symbolizing the Japanese family crest and the like, Its symbolism has lasted in terms of the sacrificial object, royal power, good omen, Buddhist guardian and the like. There is a difference in the aesthetic sense due to the different traditions and cultural background between Korea and Japan, and the dragon pattern found in the process of recreating the tradition in comtemporary fashion manifested itself as the peculiar aspect. An attempt was made to make a comparative analysis of the dragon pattern found in comtemporary fashion between Korea and Japan. The following results were obtained: First, the commonality between both countries was to make a contemporary expression of the dragon pattern, which was expressed in a realistic form because of a traditionally inherent strong image of the dragon. On the other hand, the designed dragon pattern rarely found expression. It can be said that carefully treating the dragon pattern is attributed to the Oriental thinking like this. Second, Korean people have arranged one or more simplified dragon patterns taking on a form of the coiling dragon in the composition of the scattered point and made a comtemporary expression of them by the contrast of black and white shading in Korea. And the humorous form of the dragon pattern manifested itself in the Yi Dynasty. On the other hand, the case of printing the dragon pattern in the black dragon sword of all over the Kabuki costume in a pictorial composition has frequently appeared in Japan. And Japanese people have expressed its lightness and briskness rather than the dignity and strength that the dragon pattern gives with the use of strong color tones and new materials.

Recently, the use of Dwelling House has been expanded due to the rapid urbainzation and congestion of population in City. Indoor Air Quality in apartment houses was investigated by measuring pollutants such as $CO_2$ gas, dust concentration. In this study, the mesurements of indoor air environment were performed in Dwelling house in Seoul area to investigate indoor air environment and the relation of air contaminative and the response level. Indoor air contamination and living environment of the occupants have been compared & analyzed with practical investigation of IAQ in Seoul, Korea and Tokyo, Japan.

Efficacy and safety of drugs are evaluated in the process of drug registration along with the basis of setting test method and acceptance criteria for assuring quality of the drugs. Quality of drugs plays a key role to guarantee the efficacy and safety of drugs approved in the evaluation process at the marketing stage after approval. Turbulence produces the density and velocity fluctuations in molecular clouds, and dense regions within the density fluctuation are the birthplace of stars. Also, turbulence can produce non-thermal pressure against gravity. Thus, turbulence plays a crucial roles in controlling star formation. However, despite many years of study, the detailed relation between turbulence and star formation remain poorly understood. As part of the Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory (TRAO) Key Science Program (KSP), "mapping Turbulent properties In star-forming MolEcular clouds down to the Sonic scale (TIMES; PI: Jeong-Eun Lee)", we mapped two star-forming molecular clouds, the Orion A and the ρ Ophiuchus molecular clouds, in six molecular lines (¹³CO 1-0/C¹⁸O 1-0, HCN 1-0/HCO⁺ 1-0, and CS 2-1/N₂H⁺ 1-0) using the TRAO 14-m telescope. We applied the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to the observed data in two different ways. The first method is analyzing the variation of line intensities in velocity space to evaluate the velocity power spectrum of underlying turbulence. We investigated the relation between the star formation activities and properties of turbulence. The other method is analyzing the variation of the integrated intensities between the molecular lines to find the characteristic correlation between them. We found that the HCN, HCO⁺, and CS lines well correlate with each other in the integral shaped filament in the Orion A cloud, while the HCO⁺ line is anti-correlate with the HCN and CS lines in L1688 of the Ophiuchus cloud.
