Educational applications of big data analysis have been of interest in order to improve learning effectiveness and efficiency. As a basic challenge for educational applications, the purpose of this study is to develop a comprehensive data set scheme for learning analytics in the context of digital textbook usage within the K-12 school environments of Korea. On the basis of the literature review, the Start-up Mega Planning model of needs assessment methodology was used as this study sought to come up with negotiated solutions for different stakeholders for a national level of learning metrics framework. The Ministry of Education (MOE), Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education (SMOE), and Korean Education and Research Information Service (KERIS) were involved in the discussion of the learning metrics framework scope. Finally, we suggest a proposal for the national learning metrics framework to reflect such considerations as dynamic education context and feasibility of the metrics into the K-12 Korean schools. The possibilities and limitations of the suggested framework for learning metrics are discussed and future areas of study are suggested.

This research defines research support service, and compares the support service provided by college libraries in Korea and overseas. The findings showed that the frequency of college library service in Korean schools were low. Korean college libraries' services were mostly limited to the services of a normal library such as bibliographic education, full text service, and interlibrary loan service. To put it differently, Korean college libraries lacked information services on research ethics. Research spot services per research stage were mostly restricted to the data collection stage, and deficient elsewhere. On the other hand, college libraries in the U.S. were providing a platform for scholarly communication between researcher and scholars via websites.

Each university runs curriculum for pre-service teachers to improve teaching skills and designing classes and realizing them. Pre-service teachers can have opportunities of designing and realizing charming classes in the course of practice teaching. We can say that if pre-service teachers can practice simulation for effective teaching skills, there can be some advantages: improvement of class environment, consolidation of instructors' abilities, and thus a ripple effect of for those within the whole community. The purpose of this study is to introduce and indicate the direction of simulation for pre-service teachers and beginners alike, thus training and expecting them to improve effective questioning skills through systematic education courses.

The representative companies mentioned in the recommendation service in the domestic OTT(Over-the-top media service) market are YouTube and Netflix. YouTube, through various methods, started personalized recommendations in earnest by introducing an algorithm to machine learning that records and uses users' viewing time from 2016. Netflix categorizes users by collecting information such as the user's selected video, viewing time zone, and video viewing device, and groups people with similar viewing patterns into the same group. It records and uses the information collected from the user and the tag information attached to the video. In this paper, we propose a method to improve video media recommendation by automatically generating metadata of video media that was written by hand.

The purpose of the research is to analyze the status and problems of the e-Learning quality assurance system on e-Learning contents and service provider(institutes) in the field of enterprise education. In addition, the research is to suggest the direction and strategies for revising and developing the system. The research put emphasis on two systems of the e-Learning quality assurance(contents, service provider) which directly influence financial support of government. This study depended mostly on literature review, supplemented by expert panel meetings. In the case of the quality assurance system on e-Learning contents, the followings are suggested; (1)admitting the contents made of the combination of modules in the approved module set, (2)making easier the qualifying of modified contents for maintenance, (3)revising evaluation criteria, (4)providing substantial feedback. In the field of service provider, the followings are requested; (1)differentiating of qualifying system by industry and scale of company, (2)extending the qualifying cycle, (3)improving the feedback and sharing system.

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, improving computational thinking to solve problems by smoothly operating and utilizing software. Therefore, the ministry of education has introduced systematic SW education into public education as a revised 2015 curriculum with the aim of raising computational thinking. In order for SW education to be systematically stabilized at the school site, the teaching ability of the teacher must be supported above all. For this purpose, the government is promoting 'SWEET' for improvement of the elementary pre-service teachers' SW education program. However, even if the policy is pursued, there is a tendency to take measures to improve the teaching and learning methods in the field later, and since the subject of change in education is the teacher, it is necessary to grasp the reco-gnition, experience of teachers. This study analyzed qualitatively perception and experience of elementary pre-service teachers about SW education and suggested design guidelines for pre-service teacher training such as providing various learning examples.

This study analyzes the effects of programming-based TPACK education programs, designed by Kim and Lee (2019), on the teaching expertise of pre-service teachers. The research subjects were 40 pre-service teachers, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group underwent the programming-based TPACK education program, and the control group used an ICT-based TPACK education program. A test tool was used to measure not only teaching expertise but also teaching efficacy and self-efficacy beliefs about technology integration. As a result of the study, teaching expertise, teaching efficacy, and self-efficacy beliefs about technology integration improved significantly in the experimental group. The pretest showed no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group, but in the post-test, the experimental group showed significantly higher teaching expertise than the control group. These results showed that the programming-based TPACK education program is effective for developing teaching expertise in pre-service teachers.

Tourism businesses use chat services to provide immediate customer support and to help users navigate within a website, but there are more outcomes of this interaction that should be examined. The current study aimed to discover if the online travel chat service quality and information value of the online travel chat service lead to user satisfaction with the service and visit intention to a recommended destination by Korea Tourism Organization's 1330 Live Chat. The results indicate that information value (functional and innovation) and online travel chat service quality (reliability, assurance, and security) lead to satisfaction with the live chat service and visit intention to a recommended destination. The results can benefit practitioners who want to expand and improve their customer service interaction and recommendations, and to scholars who study the relationship between customer services in tourism recommendation and sales context.

The recent emergence of diverse platform-based media devices such as smart phones and iPads has aroused interest of consumers all across the world. This interest has led to digitalization of paper books and a steep growth in the digital publishing industry at home and abroad. However, advent of various devices and content has caused the issue of compatibility and produced needs and demand for standardization to exchange and share content related to digital publication. Through collection of opinions of 16 stakeholders from the industrial, academic, research, and public sectors, this study aims to examine predictable future changes about content and its distribution, devices, standardization, technical protective measures, and obstacles in future digital publishing and eventually to draw out areas and elements for future standards development.
