With the increasing demand for intelligent services, knowledge graph technologies have attracted much attention. Various application-specific knowledge bases have been developed in industry and academia. In particular, open knowledge bases play an important role for constructing a new knowledge base by serving as a reference data source. However, identifying the same entities among heterogeneous knowledge sources is not trivial. This study focuses on extracting and determining exact and precise entities, which is essential for merging and fusing various knowledge sources. To achieve this, several algorithms for extracting the same entities are proposed and then their performance is evaluated using real-world knowledge sources.

Natural Language Question Answering (NLQA) and Prescriptive Analytics (PA) have been identified as innovative, emerging technologies in 2015 by the Gartner group. These technologies require knowledge bases that consist of data that has been extracted from unstructured texts. Every business requires a knowledge base for business analytics as it can enhance companies' competitiveness in their industry. Most intelligent or analytic services depend a lot upon on knowledge bases. However, building a qualified knowledge base is very time consuming and requires a considerable amount of effort, especially if it is to be manually created. Another problem that occurs when creating a knowledge base is that it will be outdated by the time it is completed and will require constant updating even when it is ready in use. For these reason, it is more advisable to create a computerized knowledge base. This research focuses on building a computerized knowledge base for business using a supervised learning and rule-based method. The method proposed in this paper is based on information extraction, but it has been specialized and modified to extract information related only to a business. The business knowledge base created by our system can also be used for advanced functions such as presenting the hierarchy of technologies and products, and the relations between technologies and products. Using our method, these relations can be expanded and customized according to business requirements.

The verification phase of knowledge base is an important part for developing reliable expert systems, especially in nuclear industry. Although several strategies or tools have been developed to perform potential ewer checking, they often neglect the reliability of verification methods. Because a Petri net provides a uniform mathematical formalization of knowledge base, it has been employed for knowledge base verification. In this work, we devise and suggest an automated tool, called COKEP (Checker Of Knowledge base using Extended Petri net), for detecting incorrectness, inconsistency, and incompleteness in a knowledge base. The scope of the verification problem is expanded to chained errors, unlike previous studies that assumed error incidence to be limited to rule pairs only. In addition, we consider certainty factor in checking, because most of knowledge bases have certainty factors.

Based on the development of IT(information technology), the explosive diffusion and growth of the new media and services in Korea has attracted keen international attention. The construction of IT infrastructure driven by the proactive social informatization policy of the government has also been spectacular. Korea has persistently pursued strong 'new media-informatization policy' with three main objectives in mind: 1)Industrial-economic value creation; 2)socio-cultural value creation; and 3)building of the knowledge society-knowledge state. But its consequence is rather paradoxical. While its performance is excellent in terms of quantity growth of industry and technology, quality development of society, culture and knowledge creation is lagging far behind. This paradoxical outcome originates, not from any simple policy error, but from a structural problem inherent in new media-informatization policy in Korea which has long been captured by developmentalism. In order for Korea to harvest the reward of strong new media-informatization infrastructure, it needs to institute a policy structure based on a knowledge IT strategy such as research and development of core and patent technologies, design and production of quality contents, networking knowledge bases of society, etc.

Recently industry has moved towards automated operations with the goal of achieving better product quality greater productivity and reliability The pump design in characterized by extensive utilization of the related database which contains performance data. The inputs to the system are through interactive dialogue sessions and the basic input consist of flow rate, head, of fluid efficiency and the customer special requirements. These basic inputs along with the numerous rules in the knowledge bases and the mathematical modeling enable the effective design of the pump industry This paper represents the development of an automatic pump design system that was composed of a main program the data input module the drawing module the drawing edit module and was programed by the AutoLISP language under the Auto CAD program The developed system ultimately generates the design for a pump through the AutoCAD language.

This paper, firstly, propose a new Clustering scheme Based on Conceptual graphs (CBC) that can describe objects freely and can perform clustering efficiently. The conceptual clustering is one of machine learning technique. The similarity among the objects in conceptual clustering are decided on the bases of concept membership, unlike the general clustering scheme which decide the similarity without considering the context or environment of the objects. A new conceptual clustering scheme, CBC, which can perform efficient conceptual clustering by describing various objects freely with conceptual graphs is introduced in this paper.

Healthy living is an essential element of human happiness. Quality eating provides the basis for life, and the health of livestock, which provides meat and dairy products, has a direct impact on human health. In the case of calves, diarrhea is the cause of all diseases.In this paper, we use a sensor to measure calf 's biometric data to diagnose calf diarrhea. The collected biometric data is subjected to a preprocessing process for use as meaningful information. We measure calf birth history and calf biometrics. The ontology is constructed by inputting environmental information of housing and biochemistry, immunity, and measurement information of human body for disease management. We will build a knowledge base for predicting calf diarrhea by predicting calf diarrhea through logical reasoning. Predict diarrhea with the knowledge base on the name of the disease, cause, timing and symptoms of livestock diseases. These knowledge bases can be expressed as domain ontologies for parent ontology and prediction, and as a result, treatment and prevention methods can be suggested.

Globalization of the industry induces the internationalization of any given manufacturing company's supply chain. Development of e-Commerce and Information Technology (IT) changes the logistics structure, making logistics information systems essential. Web-based connectivity and supply chains based on new technologies are becoming essential in the logistics industry. Customers are driving the implementation of systems to ensure timely, thorough, and accurate information, often with immediate access; in response, the Internet has propagated tracking and tracing systems. Value-added services are the key to successful intermediary activities. The nationwide Integrated Logistics Information System (ILIS) aimed to utilize existing and future information infrastructure and knowledge bases to build an integrated logistics information network that would provide comprehensive logistics information services for shippers and carriers in order to improve the efficiency of both inventory and information flows in their supply chains. The ILIS, as one of the seven national information networks, has provided various services, particularly services related to import/export and clearance. Though a survey concerning logistics information services shows rather positive results, shippers and carriers still require better services and reductions in EDI prices. Therefore, the role of the ILIS needs to be re-defined. Short-term plans for the ILIS contain ICD services and XML/EDI services, which are described in detail.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of Human Resources Development by type and strategy, and to review the importance of Human resources Development in the knowledge-based society in a comprehensive way. In particular, the paper reviews the tourism industry, one of the typical service industry, for which the utilization of the Human Resources is crucial. and it presents a specific direction policy of Human Resources Development in the field. An analysis was performed for each area of Human Resources Development inputs and output factors which lead to achieve the purpose of the study was to review the characteristics of the Human Resources Development area. After reviewing, the tourism industry was differentiated according to type of strategy development areas through a statistical approach to the input and output elements around. In this study, along with the estabilishment of a Human Resources development strategy bases on the nature and purpose of differentiation with future Human resource Development in each region showed that the operations of the business need.
