Purpose: This study is addressing the establishment of the knowledge information system supplying the quality management of weapon system. It is going to support the continuous quality management through the linkages and integration between the product structure and the quality information. Methods: The interrelated relationship of the product structure information and quality information of weapon system would be expressed explicitly by taking advantage of the ontology concept. The quality information of distributed systems would be integrated through the SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)-based Web services. After defining the inference rules, which could be utilized in the quality management, in the constructed knowledge information system, the quality information would be inferred through the queries. Results: By building the integrated quality information knowledge system through the ontology and SOA, the connectivity between the product structures and dispersed quality information was enhanced. The utility and applicability of this study were checked up through the inferences on the products and quality information by using the information built by the semantic relationship of facts. Conclusion: We established the knowledge and information system as a systematic approach to support the quality management of weapon system. This is not affected by the organizations and systems, and it seems that it could be utilized across the quality management as the efficient knowledge sharing architecture supporting the quality management of weapon systems in the aspect of the product integration.

Recently, more firms have shown an interest in implementing knowledge management methods. However, few companies are capable of adopting knowledge management methods effectively to improve organizational performance because it is still unclear how these methods improve corporate performance. To find this relationship between knowledge management methods and organizational performance, this paper analyses effects of knowledge management methods on corporate performance empirically. 51 Korean firms are selected as a sample base for empirical tests. Knowledge management methods can be categorized into four styles; harmony, codification, personalization, and ignorance. For example, the emphasis of harmony style is on both knowledge reusability using information technologies and knowledge sharing through informal intimacy among employees. Corporate performance varies depending on styles. Harmony style is founded to be most effective for corporate performance. Personalization and codification styles don't show any difference. This outcome is in line with the general observation that both tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge are important for effective knowledge management.

This paper reviewed the relationship between information technology system and knowledge management activities, and the moderating effect of industrial type. The results of multiple regression analysis, based on the responses from 219 employees in manufacturing and financing service sector, showed that information technology infrastructure and information technology usage have positive effects on knowledge acquisition, knowledge transfer, and knowledge usage. In moderating effects, information technology infrastructure more positively related with knowledge acquisition in financing service sector than in manufacturing sector. And also information technology usage more positively related with knowledge transfer in financing service sector than in manufacturing sector.

Many R&D organizations have interests on knowledge management system(KMS) to organize and utilize their knowledge resources. Currently, for research collaboration and knowledge management R&D organizations use either a specialized knowledge management system or a set of general application systems such as basic messaging system and document management system. The objectives of this paper are to identify important functionalities of knowledge management systems based on team characteristics and knowledge process of research teams in research organizations and to provide implications to design and implement knowledge management system for R&D teams. Survey results show that research teams perceive communication, collaboration and connection functionalities are important when their team sizes are large or they are distributed. During knowledge capture process, they need personalization of knowledge to reduce information overload.

Knowledge Management System is defined as an Information system to support the integrated knowledge management process for maximizing value of the knowledge assets in organizations. From that point of view, the system performance - the usage level of the system and user satisfaction - can be an available measure of the knowledge management system success. Many previous research were focused on the application of a new technological component for knowledge management processes or the construction of the overall system architecture in spite of the importance of the system performance. The purpose of this study is to Identify the factors affecting the knowledge management system performance. To do this, we conducted an exploratory case studies of eight companies. We applied theories of information system success to knowledge management system and investigated some specific strategic components as additional affecting factors. Finally, we proposed research model and ex propositions regarding the factors affecting the knowledge management system performance. The implication of the findings and future research directions were discussed.

본 연구는 우리나라 금융기관의 지식정보콘텐츠가 어떻게 생성되고 관리되는지를 실증적 접근으로 현장조사와 그에 대한 분석으로 이루어졌다. 조사대상의 은행에 대한 연구영역은 1)고객, 2)정보자료실, 3)문서관리(기록관리)로 구성되었다. 연구결과 1)고객에 대한 지식정보콘텐츠는 다양하게 제공되고 있으나, 분류체계의 통일성 결여로 체계적인 지식정보관리가 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 이에 대한 해결책을 제시하였다. 2)정보자료실에 대한 인식의 결여로 이용의 문제, 정보콘텐츠 생산과 활용의 문제가 발생하였다. 이에 대한 활성화 방안을 제시하였다. 3)지식정보공유와 관리가 잘 이루어지지 않고 있는 이유는 조직구성원의 지식정보공유의 인식결여와 문서관리와 정보자료실이 별개라는 인식의 결과였다. 이에 대한 활성화방안을 제시하였다.

이 글은 지식기반 사회의 역동적 엔진으로서 다양한 유형의 지식을 제공할 수 있는 통합형 지식체계의 구현을 도서관의 기본 역할로 보고, 이를 위한 지식관리 모형을 지식생태학 관점을 통해 제시한 것이다. 지식생태학 관점에서 접근한 지식관리는 지식생태계를 구성하는 사회적 요소간의 상호작용을 통해 성장하는 유기체로서 활동하는 도서관의 논리적 물리적 역할을 의미한다. 도서관은 지식생태계의 구심점으로서 지식조정자 역할을 담당하는 정보전문가를 통해 지식생산자가 지식을 제대로 생산 배포할 수 있도록 지원하고. 적절한 지식이 지식소비자에게 적시에 전달되고 재생산되는 선순환 체계를 주도해 감으로써 지식생태계를 활성화하는 지식관리 체계를 구현하여야 한다.

본 연구는 교육연구기관에서 생산된 지식정보자원이 기관의 지식관리시스템으로 역할을 수행하는지 살펴보고, 국가지식관리시스템의 방안 제시를 위하여 시도되었다. 홈페이지에서 제공되는 지식정보자원을 '결과의 지식정보자원', '과정의 지식정보자원', '소통의 지식정보자원'으로 분류하고, 내용분석법을 사용하여 메타데이터의 적용 현황, 검색시스템의 구성 현황을 분석하였다. 연구결과, 홈페이지 지식정보자원 관리의 개선을 위하여 표준화된 유형별 메타데이터와 분류체계의 개발, 홈페이지가 기관 생산지식정보자원의 대외 유통 창구라는 인식 고취, 홈페이지 지식정보자원에 대한 다양한 검색기능과 지식지도 제공, 원문 획득을 위한 연계정보 제공, 조직 운영자와 홈페이지 관리자의 기관 홈페이지에 대한 지식관리시스템으로서의 인식, 모바일 환경에 적합한 데이터 크기 분할과 제공 단위의 다양화 작업, 내부 전자결재시스템과 홈페이지의 유기적인 연계 기능을 제시하였다.

This paper is concerned with the study of 'Knowledge Management', a paradigm of thought based on the idea that the future will be a knowledge-centered society. This paper also provides an overview of both 'what to manage' and 'how to manage' if an organization wants to develop in this environment. The process of 'Knowledge Management' begins with a decision. Presented with a myriad of information, of which we can't afford to obtain it all, what information is of value to the organization? Further, by systematically organizing not only the primary information but also that which was accumulated in the process, Knowledge Management is capable of suggesting a value-added plan of action. This research presents the necessary principles needed in order to successfully use Knowledge Management, specifically a harmony between the human and technological aspects. There cannot be a static solution to the problem, as the environment of the enterprise's problem is dynamic in nature. Throughout the process, the enterprise will constantly change its strategy and structure in order to adapt to variable knowledge, technology, strategy, regulations, consumer interest, etc... The essential constant of these problems is the importance of spending on education. Investments in educations help develope a infrastructure for Information Technology, the development of knowledge distribution strategies, and the creation of efficient Knowledge Management policy.

본 논문에서는 최근 들어 많은 연구가 진행되고 있는 지식의 정의 및 지식관리에 대해 살펴보고 지식관리시스템의 단계적 절차를 분석함으로써 효율적인 지식관리 방안을 제시하고 있다. 또한, 본 논문은 효율적인 지식관리를 위해 이용자, 지식관리자, 지식관리 기술전문가가 하나의 파트너쉽을 구축해야 한다고 제시하고 있으며 특히, 지식관리자로써 사서의 역할변화에 대해 기술하고 있다. 이러한 연구는 미래의 기존문서, 웹문서 및 각종 멀티미디어 자료등 비정형정보를 지식시스템으로 축적, 유통시킬 수 있는 지식관리시스템 구현을 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.
