인트라넷 기반의 의사결정을 위한 지식 공유 아키텍쳐 (A Knowledge Sharing Architecture for Decision Making under the Intranet Environment)

  • Intranet is information technology for information sharing and collaborative work in geographically dispersed organizations, and has clear potentials to combine with other information technologies such as data warehousing and knowledge management. Data warehousing make it possible that the data stored for business analysis can most effectively be accessed by separating it from the data in the operational systems, and knowledge management is the paradigm to make the enterprise realize the best value of its knowledge assets, This paper is to suggest an architecture of knowledge sharing to combine knowledge management with data warehouse under the Intranet environment for the purpose of achieving the competitive advantages through the effective decision making in the modern companies, This paper also addresses the steps to implement this architecture.

  • In this research, we propose a Unified Fuzzy rule-based knowledge Inference Systems UFIS) to help the expert in cosmetic brand detection. Users' preferred cosmetic product detection is very important in the level of CRM. To this Purpose, many corporations trying to develop an efficient data mining tool. In this study, we develop a prototype fuzzy rule detection and inference system. The framework used in this development is mainly based on two different mechanisms such as fuzzy rule extraction and RDB (Relational DB)-based fuzzy rule inference. First, fuzzy clustering and fuzzy rule extraction deal with the presence of the knowledge in data base and its value is presented with a value between $0\∼1$. Second, RDB and SQL(Structured Query Language)-based fuzzy rule inference mechanism provide more flexibility in knowledge management than conventional non-fuzzy value-based KMS(Knowledge Management Systems)

  • In order to manage organizational knowledge efficiently, Knowledge Management System(KMS) is considered as mandatory. This study aims at developing a KMS performance model to predict user satisfaction as well as KMS usage, considering the unique features of KMS. By analyzing 261 surveys with LISREL, we found that community of practice(CoP) characteristics - participation and interactivity among users - significantly affects KMS user satisfaction. This implies that the development of KMS should focus on facilitating users' interactivity and participations such as CoP activity, which differs from the general information system context. We also found that KMS usage is influenced by CoP interactivity, not by CoP participation, and that KMS usage as well as user satisfaction leads to user performance. Interpretations and implications of the findings are discussed.

  • In Knowledge Management Systems (KMS), tacit knowledge which is usually possessed as forms like know-how, experiences, and etc. is hard to be systemized while managing explicit knowledge is comparatively easy using information technology such as databases, Recent researches in knowledge management have shown that it is more applicable in many ways to provide expert search mechanisms in KMS to pinpoint experts in the organizations with searched expertise so that users can contact them for help, In this paper, we propose an intelligent expert search framework to provide search capabilities for experts in similar or related fields according to the user's needs. In enabling intelligent expert searches, Fuzzy Abstraction Hierarchy (FAH) framework has been adopted, through' which finding experts with similar or related expertise is possible according to the subject field hierarchy defined in the system. To test applicability and practicality of the proposed framework, the prototype system, Knowledge Portal for Researchers in Science and Technology, was developed.

사회적 자본, 지식경영, 그리고 조직성과 간의 인과관계 (Social Capital, Knowledge Management, and Organizational Performance)

  • This study extends prior research of knowledge management by proposing how social capital can positively impact the ability of organizations to manage knowledge. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between social capital and knowledge management and how both help organizations achieve a sustained superior performance. To serve this purpose, I conducted an extensive survey on 143 Korean firms in diverse industries. Analyzing hypothesized relationships with the data collected, I empirically assure that organizations with high levels of social capital have more knowledge management capabilities than organizations with low levels of social capital and there exist statistically significant relationships between knowledge management and organizational performance.

  • Management of human knowledge is an interesting concept that has attracted the attention of philosophers for thousands of years. Artificial intelligence and knowledge engineering has provided some degree of rigor to the study of knowledge systems and expert systems(ES) re able to use knowledge to solve the problems and answer questions. Therefore, the process of conceptualization and inference of knowledge are fundamental problem solving activities and hence, are essential activities for solving the problem of software ES construction Especially, the access to relevant, up-to-date and reliable knowledge is very important task in the daily work of physicians and nurses. In this study, we propose the conceptualization and inference mechanism for implicit knowledge management in medical diagnosis area. To this purpose, we combined the dynamic knowledge map(KM) and relational database(RDB) into a dynamic knowledge map(DKM). A graphical user-interface of DKM allows the conceptualization of the implicit knowledge of medical experts. After the conceptualization of implicit knowledge, we developed an RDB-based inference mechanism and prototype software ES to access and retrieve the implicit knowledge stored in RDB. Our proposed system allows the fast comfortable access to relevant knowledge fitting to the demands of the current task.

  • We propose utilizing a fuzzy cognitive map(FCM) to integrate tacit knowledge and explicit knowledge both of which are crucial to the success of knowledge management. Recently, explicit knowledge is getting more available as CRM and data mining approaches become popular as the advent of using database and the Internet technology. However, for the knowledge management to be successful, tacit knowledge should be seamlessly integrated with explicit knowledge seamlessly. The problem hindering such effort is how to find a vehicle facilitating transformation of explicit knowledge into tacit knowledge, and vice versa. FCM has been important method for representing tacit knowledge as a form of explict knowledge. In this respect, we suggest the detailed process about how to integrate explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge by using FCM. We gathered extensive set of data from the credit card company, and applied our proposed method. Results showed that our approach is robust and promising for the field of integrating two different kinds of knowledge.

  • 지식이 미래의 자산이라는 공감대가 형성된 후 지식경영은 급속도로 확산되었다. 과거 지식은 인간이 자유롭게 획득할 수 있지만 공유하기 어려운 개인적 자산에 불과했다. 그러나 지식의 중요성이 연구자들에 의해 밝혀졌고, 이를 공유하기 위한 연구가 지속되었다. 이러한 연구의 산물이 지식경영시스템이다. 그러나 의사결정자들은 지식경영시스템을 활용하면서도 시스템의 한계점을 느끼게 된다. 최종적으로 의사결정을 하기 위해서는 무의식적이고 체화되어 있는 응집된 지식이 필요한 것이다. 이것이 지혜이다. 따라서 의사결정자들은 지식경영보다 지혜경영을 더욱 중요하게 생각한다. 그러나 그 동안 지혜에 관한 연구는 많았지만 지혜경영을 연구한 결과는 거의 없다. 본 연구는 일천한 지혜경영 분야에 대해 이론연구와 실증분석을 통해 연구하였다. 연구 결과 지식과 지혜의 뚜렷한 구분을 알 수 있었다.

KISTI 과학기술 지식정보 관리를 위한 지식관리시스템 구축방안 (The Strategies for Implementation of Knowledge Management Systems to manage KISTI science and technology knowledge content)

  • 본 연구는 KISTI 지식관리시스템 구축시 고려해야 할 시스템특성들의 우선순위를 제시함으로써 현재 구축해서 사용 중이거나 향후 구축 예정인 KISTI 지식관리시스템 구축에 기여하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 기존의 문헌들에서 지식관리시스템의 시스템특성을 가져왔고, 이러한 시스템특성들을 기초로 해서 KISTI 과학기술 지식정보 콘텐트 전문가들을 대상으로 한 Delphi 설문조사를 하였다. 연구결과 검색기능 저장기능 접근성, 편의성, 분류기능 등과 같은 지식관리시스템의 기본 특성들은 우선순위가 높게 부여되었고, 지식원천통합, 지식평가, 개인화, 커뮤니케이션지원, 멀티미디어 수용 등과 같은 지식관리시스템의 부가적인 특성들은 우선순위가 낮은 것으로 나타났다.
