  • With the spread of COVID-19 and the preference for untact services, kiosks, which is one of self-service technologies, have been expanding into various service fields. Kiosks have some advantages of reducing labor costs and increasing work efficiency, but they often cause difficulties in the process of using kiosks. In this vein, this study examines the key antecedents affecting consumer's continuance intention toward kiosks by integrating technology anxiety and innovativeness into the expanded expectation-confirmation model. The research model was verified for the MZ generation to examine the perceptions of MZ generation about Kiosks. This is because if the MZ generation feels technical anxiety or difficualty about using kiosks, customers of other generations can expect to feel even more uncomfortable. As a result of the analysis of this study, it was confirmed that technical anxiety has a significantly negative effect on consumer's continuance intention toward kiosks. However, among the characteristic factors of customers, innovativeness did not significantly consumer's continuance intention toward kiosks. Based on our findings, it is expected that service companies will be able to understand the mechanism of forming consumer's continuance intention toward kiosks and pursuit several management activities for successfully adopting kiosks.

  • Application areas of Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) have been expanded into many R&D management processes including technology trends analysis, forecasting and evaluation etc. Established research field such as informetrics (or scientometrics) has recently fully utilized techniques or methods of KDD. Various systems have been developed to support works of analyzing large-scale R&D related databases such as patent DB or bibliographic DB by a few researchers or institutions. But extant systems have some problems for korean users to use. Their prices is not cheap, korean language process not available, and user's demands not reflected. To solve these problems, Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) developed stand-alone type information analysis system named as KnowledgeMatrix. KnowledgeMatrix system offer various functions to analyze retrieved data set from databases. Knowledge Matrix main operation unit is composed of user-defined lists and matrix generation, cluster analysis, visualization, data pre-processing. KnowledgeMatrix show better performances and offer more various functions than extant systems.

  • This study was motivated by consideration of advertising effects on purchase intention of hotel customers in the situation that people can experience in web advertisements more easily and quickly through four main media. We intends to propose strategic web advertising marketing plans by investigating the relation among hotel web advertising attributions, advertising attitude, brand attitude and purchase intention of customers. In conclusion, in the situation that hotel service industry endeavors a lot to attract young customers, according to gentrified consumption culture and changes in an environmental trend, these results are expected to be used as data to establish web advertising marketing strategies to show trendy brand images to hotel customers, especially consumers of N Generation using official websites of hotels.

  • Mining sequential patterns is an important research issue in data mining and knowledge discovery with broad applications. However, the existing sequential pattern mining approaches consider only binary frequency values of items in sequences and equal importance/significance values of distinct items. Therefore, they are not applicable to actually represent many real-world scenarios. In this paper, we propose a novel framework for mining high-utility sequential patterns for more real-life applicable information extraction from sequence databases with non-binary frequency values of items in sequences and different importance/significance values for distinct items. Moreover, for mining high-utility sequential patterns, we propose two new algorithms: UtilityLevel is a high-utility sequential pattern mining with a level-wise candidate generation approach, and UtilitySpan is a high-utility sequential pattern mining with a pattern growth approach. Extensive performance analyses show that our algorithms are very efficient and scalable for mining high-utility sequential patterns.

  • Given the huge number of data produced by its users, SNS is a great source of customer insights. Since viral trends in SNS reflect customers' direct feedback, companies can draw out highly meaningful business insights when such data is effectively analyzed and managed. However, while the importance of understanding SNS big data keeps growing, the methods for analyzing atypical data such as SNS postings for business insights over product has not been well studied. This study aims to demonstrate the way to exploit topic modeling method to support marketing strategy generation and therefore leverage business process. First, we conducted topic modeling analysis for twitter data of Apple and Samsung smartphones. Then we comparatively examined the analysis results to draw meaningful market insights about each smartphone product. Finally, we draw out a strategic marketing recommendation for each smartphone brand based on the findings.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the process and its influencing factors of technological capability building in a small and medium-sized capital goods sector. This paper first reviews the influencing factors of accumulating technological capability-technology trajectory, technology sources, technological capability, technological learning, technology strategy, and entrepreneurship. The paper then presents the integrative model of technological capability building. The experience of Mirae Corporation, the first generation of venture company in Korea, is also discussed as a case in point to analyse the process of technological capability building in a small and medium-sized capital goods company. Finally, the implications and limitations of the study arc discussed.

  • The starting point of knowledge generation and management is the enhancement of learning capability and capacity of organizational members. Organizational change for learning environment should be aligned with the change of organizational strategy, structure and processes. The study employed action learning methodology to constitute learning organization processes. The treatment effect to institute learning organization has been successful thanks to the members' zeal and consensus to change the processes. However, not every learning team has been so successful. Some cases complained time consuming where others expect to be helpful for their incentives. The researchers concluded that the most important point for success of the learning organization project should be the support of top management.

  • A successful, computer-aided design support system can help a process designer focus on making effective design decisions, not merely tedious routine calculations. Such a system is essential to enhance quality of design in terms of economics, environmental benignity, reliability, robustness, and operability. Such a statement is even more accepted when applied to conceptual design problems, where gross design specifications are given while a combinatorial number of design alternatives exists. This paper presents an agent-based approach as a systematic and efficient way to design a design support system for the synthesis of conceptual chemical processes. An agent-based approach allows us to handle design knowledge as an object and thus greatly improve the modularity and reusability of that knowledge. Such modularity and reusability lead to the increased productivity in the development of a design support system and the increased ease in the relaxation of design decisions and the generation of design alternatives, both of which functions are critically important in dealing with the complexity and uncertainty of conceptual design problems.

  • Purpose - The pool of entrepreneurs with progressive qualities such as creativity and innovation was considered concurrently with such factors as work and capital that stimulate economic development and growth. This study aims to present a model to support the development of a strategic approach for achieving an overall academic entrepreneurship system in Iran. Research design, data, and methodology - The research design of this study is based on applied research because of its objectives, using principles and techniques formulated for basic research to solve operational and real organizational issues. This design also drives the method used, describing and interpreting the findings. Secondary data (library research) was used for this study's data collection. Because of this research's essential characteristics, no hypothesis is launched, and no research setting, questionnaire design, population or population sampling, validity or reliability tests, or statistical analysis are needed. Results and Conclusions - The model is created using a strategic approach acting in an octal setting comprising social, cultural, legal, economic, political, technological, competitive, and natural environments to present a conceptual framework for future studies.
