Rule-based Process Control System for multi-product, small-sized production (다품종 소량생산 공정을 위한 규칙기반 공정관리 시스템)

  • There have been many problems to apply SPC(Statistical Process Control) which is a traditional process control technology to the process of multi-product, small-sized production because a machine in the process manufactures small numbers, but various kinds of products. Therefore, we need the new process control system that can flexibly control the process by setting up the SPEC rules and the KNOWHOW rules. The SPEC rule contains the combination of diverse conditions to specify the characteristics of various products. The KNOWHOW rule is based on engineers' know-how. The study suggests the Rule-base Process Control that can be optimized to the multi-product, small-sized production. It was validated in the process of semiconductor production.

  • A Study on the improvement Method of Domestic Franchise System based on the study through the Dispute cases. Future franchise operating is hard to survive if it has it's own competitive power in the fair trade. So first of all, Headquarter of franchise has the competitive power. Second, it has knowhow, because that knowhow is driving force which can lead a member of franchiser. third, it can supply tableware and materials without a hitch. In the conclusion, franchise operator has the competitive power that are difference and fair trade. Also, when franchiser always cooperate franchise operating, that contributed much to the growth of the foodservice. In the future, the study on foodservice of franchise should be go on more deeply.

An Exploratory Study on the Suppliers' Strategy for Developing Long-term Relationship with Buyers (구매기업과의 장기적 거래관계 형성을 위한 공급업체의 전략 수립에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • We explore the determinants of long-term relationship between the buyer and the supplier to help suppliers develope a strategy to build long-term relationship with their buyers. Based upon an extensive literature review, we propose three droops of independent variables which may affect long-term relationship, including (a) environmental factors (product complexity, product importance, source dependence, price sensitivity), (b) relational factors(trust, commitment, satisfaction, intention of expansion), (c) operational performance(quality, delivery, cost capability, technical knowhow). The buyer's actual period of relationship with its main supplier is used as a dependent variable. Using hierarchical multiple regression analysis, we empirically test hypotheses, analysing a sample of 290 manufacturing firms in the U.S. The statistical results indicate that the buyer's source dependence, price sensitivity and the supplier's commitment play a significant role in establishing long-term relationship between the buyer and the supplier. However, the supplier's cost capability and technical knowhow in operational performance negatively affect long-term relationship in contrast with our hypotheses. Due to this controversial result, we divide the sample group Into dual sourcing and multiple sourcing environments and reconduct regression analysis in a post hoc manner. The findings show that the supplier's cost capability and technical knowhow are negatively associated with the length of relationship only in the multiple sourcing environment. The results may confirm that both parties' opportunistic behavior is more salient in the multiple sourcing environment than in the single sourcing environment.

A study on B2B relationship values with customers in the Korean and Taiwan B2B market (한국과 대만 B2B시장의 고객과의 관계 가치(relationship value)에 대한 연구)

  • Faced with the recent global economic recession, academics looked to the industrial B2B and B2C markets as potential new growth engines. In the B2B market, focusing on the relationship with customers, the relationship benefits are important, and institutional factors will affect the relationship and relationship values with customers. In this study, the relationship values between South Korea and Taiwan are compared by considering their national characteristics. By applying a mixed research method based on sequential exploratory design, 6 relationship values (supplier knowhow, service support, time to market, delivery performance, personal interaction, and product quality) are extracted. In particular, South Korea and Taiwan give priority to supplier knowhow and service support, respectively. Our research findings have both theoretical and practical implications for other emerging countries, as well as developed countries.

The Effects of Knowledge Sharing on Relationship Quality and Relationship Performance in Food Service Franchise Companies (외식 프랜차이즈 기업의 지식공유가 관계품질 및 관계성과에 미치는 영향)

  • In franchisee industry, it is essential for franchisors to share knowhow and also specialized knowledge in order to realize favorable relationship and performance between franchisors and franchisees. Particularly, in mature food service industry, companies' specialized knowledge and knowhow are the core competence to obtain competitive advantage. Therefore, to create performance, it is absolutely necessary to share information and knowledge among all the franchisees. The purpose of this study is to verify relationship between franchisors' information sharing perceived by food service franchise owners, relationship quality, and relationship performance. A survey was done to food service franchisees, and total 297 samples were used to analyze the structural equation model. According to the analysis results, food service franchise companies' information sharing is significantly correlated with quality of relationship with franchise owners in a positive way. Also, franchisors' knowledge sharing has significant influence on performance of relationship with franchisees in a positive way. The components of relationship quality, trust and immersion, all influence relationship performance. Based on the results, this author suggests several implications about food service franchise management and information sharing.

  • 최근 자동차 업계의 CAE 방향을 하드웨어 측면에서 보면, 대용량의 계산능력을 갖춘 슈퍼 컴 퓨터와 자체 계산능력을 갖춘 워크스테이션의 활용이 점차적으로 확대 되어가고 있다. 이것을 배경으로 크래쉬 시뮬레이션, 자동차 전체 시스템의 진동 및 소음해석, 공기역학적 특성을 고 려한 형상 최적화 등이 행해지고 있다. 이와 같은 해석을 원활히 수행하기 위해서 고려되어야 할 사항은 우선 사용 소프트웨어 상호간의 데이터 인터페이스를 충분히 고려한 체계적인 총합 CAE 시스템의 구축이고, 인공지능(artificial intelligence) 언어를 이용하여 사용이 용이한 해석 경 험(knowhow)의 데이터 베이스를 구축하는 것도 바람직하다. 또한 상용 소프트웨어가 지원하지 못하는 분야에 대한 자체 프로그램의 개발도 필요한 것이다.

  • Recectly, development of expert system utilizing the domain specific knowledge focuses upon the machining operations. This paper describes an expert system for selecting the optimum grinding wheel based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Logic. Knowledge-base, in this system, for selecting of grinding wheel is designed to appling the knowhow and experience knowledge of skilled hands. In this paper, firstly determination method of fuzzy membership function utilizing the qualitative knowledge, and then selection of the optimum wheel from among the available components according to Saaty's priority rule are described. Lastly,some implementation results are suggested.

Safety Verification Method Based on Fault Tree Analysis (FTA를 이용한 안전성 검증에 대한 고찰)

  • 객체 지향 설계 명세를 대상으로한 시스템의 안전성에 대한 검사를 하여, 표(Table)조작에 기초한 검증법을 제안하였다[4]. 제안한 검증법에서는 전문 분야별로 준비된 안정성 기준(Safety Standard)과 노우하우(Knowhow)를 이용하여, 안전성에 관한 이벤트(Event)와 액션(Action)의 관계표를 작성하였다. 그러나, 많은 실제 개발 현장에서는 실제 존재하는 안전성 기준의 부족 등으로 인하여, 이러한 검증법의 기용이 어렵다는 문제점이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 신뢰성 분석의 한 방법인 FTA(Fault Tree Analysis)의 FT(Fault Tree)도를 이용한 안정성 체크리스트(Check list)를 작성하여, 이를 바탕으로 관계표를 작성하는 새로운 방법을 제안하고자 한다.
