I designed a dietary life kitchen utensils which is focused by the shape of split bamboo that has meaning of health and safety and the shaman who is the religion and incantation performer, and who solve problems, which are impossible to solve in common methods, by borrowing the power and granting the meaning which is connected with transcendent existence and principal. Having closest relation with human being's diet culture is being changed with adding beauty instead of the part of simple practical aspect in our normal life. I tried to show incantation effect with keeping the characteristic of kitchen utensils by granting the symbolic meaning of shamanism which is the shelter that is projected the desire of human beings. the materials were produced of an ebony and steel and varnished with lacquer for coloring. For hand shape, which is hard to treat in irregular forms, the religious image of shamanism was formed by casting which expresses the touch of an ebony and the cold characteristic of metal. an overall design doesn't detail excessively distort or largely transform the form of dietary utensils, keeps its individuality, and emphasizes the image by figuring a grip part which a human can see and a body can approach. in addition, I try to show a point that shamanism has affected human life for long time and symbolic meaning of bamboo-shape shows health and safety. And these things vest with each dietary life tools and should be the role of enzyme about the effect of human life.

Kitchen cabinets are essential furniture for storing the kitchen tools, but their high installed location makes it difficult for users to access the upper of the cabinets. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new type of kitchen cabinet that allows users to easily take out or store items by adding new height adjustment features while maintaining the function of the existing cabinet. For convenience and safety, an appropriate complex link mechanism is designed so that the selected floor, not the entire cabinet, can come down to a desired height with one operation. Moreover, the optimal descent path is set to prevent the floor tilting or interfloor interference during descent, and appropriate link shapes, lengths, and joint types are selected to implement it. FEA analysis is performed to ensure that the stretched complex linkage can support the load of the stored items and the feasibility of the height adjustable kitchen cabinet is verified through fabrication.

The purpose of this research is to suggest improved storage spaces for each room after taking POE survey of a selected twelve houses which were built according to the standard plan for houses in farming and fishing areas by the government from '94 This research was promoted to suggest suitable storage spaces for each room. The focus being on shoe chest storage in the entrance TV and audio set storage decorated shelves in the living room fixed furniture and storage in the bed room cupboard in the kitchen and storage space in multiple purpose room, Based on the number type NONGJIN-95-25-D which is the most popular type in the standard plan for houses in the farming and fishing areas during 1995. According to the survey those 12 points wee of discomfort and the people preferred fixed and modular furniture based on movable shelves. moveable self-assemblable modular furnishings, The survey can be the fundamental data to make that kind of plan for the farming and fishing and fishing people according to their taste.

The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of residential interior design according to social classes in Korean television dramas. To achieve the study purpose content analysis through slides and video tapes was used. Eighty three houses out of twenty eight dramas from 1990 to 1996 were classified into three classes ; upper class middle-upper class middle-lower class. Those houses were analyzed based one the five review points : total interior images finishing materials window treatments furniture and accessories. The results of the study were as follows ; (1) In the general characteristics of the house in Korean television dramas there were distinct differences in age job of householders and house types by classes. (2) In the characteristics of living-room interior design in the television dramas there were distinct differences according to social classes in interior images floor coverings furniture styles and accessories. (3) In the characteristics of master bedroom in the television dramas there were a little differences according to classes. (4) In the characteristics of kitchen and dining room in the television dramas there were differences according to classes

This study attempted to visually inspect eight hundred wood crafts collected from various countries. These include sculputures, toys, jewl cases, kitchen wares, candle holder and wooden vases, stationery, sport outfits and etc. The most impressive wood is Myrtlewood, a broadleaf evergreen which grows along the coastline of southern Oregon and northern Califonia. Myrtlewood possesses a wide variety of grove patterns. This unique wood varies in color from a deep, rich brown to silver grey, red and every yellow. Myrtlewood is being recognized as being one of the most beautiful hardwoods in the world.

This study investigated the status of kitchen of units in elderly housing facilities and the housing needs of residents. Compared with a lot of comprehensive and alternative studies on elderly housing facilities until now, specialized studies of behavior of elderly housing life and detailed dimensional study have hardly made. Therefore we intend to examine the status of kitchen planning on representative elderly housing facilities in Korea. As the methods of this study, we executed a field study into 4 representative elderly housing facilities in Korea. We visited each 2 units out of the outstanding 4facilities and surveyed the total 8 kitchens. Then we analyzed the space planning and kitchen furniture design of them and the state of kitchen commodities, and measured the kitchen equipment. In addition, we executed interview about satisfaction, preference, use from the residents. As a result, we could find out that depending on whether residents were sewed with meal offered from the facilities or not, the pattern of usage and commodities were quite different. It is necessary to supply the simplest spaces just for preparing some refreshment and tea are suitable. And for the self-cooking residents, much larger cabinets and utility rooms are additionally needed. Safety and functional aspect were quite well designed. Washing machines are usually built-in the kitchen cabinets, and residents are satisfied with this arrangement. We hope that the supplementary study about old people habit and behavior will be a good data of kitchen planning for Korean-type elderly housing units of facilities.

This study suggest the development and application of the Interactive Design Toolkit as a participatory design method for general customer with the application of the Augmented Reality. The Toolkit is based on a PC-based image perception system and user can make virtual models and navigate in the virtual space by manipulating physical objects directly in real world. The toolkit can be used in the field of participatory design in systematically modularized and customizable design area including model house of apartment and system kitchen furniture. More improved design toolkit for enhancing reality and providing various Interaction method Is needed hereafter.

Hanji has known for its high qualities for more than thousand years. Hanji is stronger, and has better durability, air permeability, flexibility, thermal insulation, soundproofs and UV absorbability. Therefore, developing industrial interior finishing materials using Hanji is replaced with the PVC (Poly-Vinyl Chloride) materials instead, it will be a new environment-friendly material and positively represents Korean brand marketing. The industrial inter-construction material is discomposed by heat or light because of material characteristics. As a result, it emits a lot of noxious substances. Hanji is essentially a neutral paper since it does not rely on any acidic chemicals of artificial bleaching methods. Hanji is also known as the living paper because of its close relation to nature. Therefore, I would like to suggest that Hanji made from alternative material as a chicken fiber. It will be a non-polluting interior finishing materials by making use of Hanji to a taste of Korean culture in the green industry around the world. Rather than PVC used commonly in construction material, kitchen and office furniture, interior materials in the subway, trains, or other vessels, credit cards, and ID cards, I created an interior construction material by using patented Hanji. This will be increased the value of usefulness in the environment-friendly green industry instead of PVC.

Experimental studies using an open cone calorimeter were conducted to provide information on the CO and soot yields of wood combustibles required for a kitchen fire simulation of PBD. A total of eight specimens were examined for medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board (PB), which are used widely in kitchen furniture production, depending on the water content, surface processing method, and surface color. The thermal penetration time related to the fire spread rate in the depth direction differed significantly according to the surface processing treatment method, even for a specimen of identical thickness. The CO yield ($y_{CO}$) of the MDF and PB series did not change significantly according to the combustion mode and surface treatment process in flaming mode. On the other hand, $y_{CO}$ was approximately 10 times higher in smoldering mode than in flaming mode. The soot yield ($y_{soot}$), however, varied considerably depending on the combustion mode and surface treatment process. In particular, a higher $y_{soot}$ was found in flaming mode and in the surface-treated specimens. Finally, the $y_{CO}$ and $y_{soot}$ of MDF and PB measured for the kitchen fire simulation of PBD were applied.

The purpose of this study was to examine the current interior conditions of children's rooms and to suggest theplanning guidelines of children's rooms. Data were collected through questionnaire survey including measurements and observations. The sample consisted of 291 households with the 3-5 years old children in Pusav. Data were analyzed by using SPSS-PC. The major findings were as follows : 1) It was found that most of children lived in small rooms. Considering their furnitures and equipments, the size of children's rooms should be 10-13 $m^2$. 2) Children's rooms should be closed to their parent's room and living room to take care of children and far from kitchen, balcony, diming room to prevent hazards. 3) Interior finishings such as wall papers, floor coverings should be chosen to consider the children's tastes and their preferred styles. 4) The types of furniture arrangement were divided by 5 types: one wall type, parallel type, ㄱ type, ㄷ type, ㅁ type. 5) The local lighting such as task lighting for studying and playing night lamp for sleeping should be used.
