Guitar Rhythm Game Using Motion Capture (모션 캡쳐를 이용한 기타 리듬게임)

  • Microsoft released motion sensing device named Kinnect on early 2010, which is available for developing Xbox 360 game and entertainment software. Also many third party libraries and applications are developed for Kinnect. In this paper, we studied and developed guitar rhythm game on Kinnect using three sensor units on it. Rhythm game is the most popular game genre for many game devices including PC, console device, and smart phone. The main reasons for their popularity depends on their simplicity, short learning time and physical activity with rhythms. We developed the game screen and layout on DirectX 11, also we used OpenNI library for recognize physical activity of gamer's body and fingers, and OpenGL for body gestures on the game.

  • we suggest a shopping cart system following the wheelchairs autonomously for the disabled to do shop easily. This system have been developed in order for a cart to follow the disabled using wheelchairs automatically without pulling a cart directly. This system use kinnect and an radio control car (RC-car). The kinnect detect whether movement of disabled is right turn, left turn or straight and according to this result the RC-car can be controlled autonomously. By this system, the disabled using wheelchairs can do shopping more easily than before.

  • This paper preseints new pose analysis techniques that use a kinnect. This Viision-based system is augmented with a natural interface that enables the user to refine the suggested rectification. This makes it very easy for observer to execute fast and continuous commands.

  • In this paper, we present localization and autonomous navigation method using GPU(Graphics Processing Unit)-based SIFT(Scale-Invariant Feature Transform) algorithm and virtual force method for mobile robots. To do this, at first, we propose the localization method to recognize the landmark using the GPU-based SIFT algorithm and to update the position using extended Kalman filter. And then, we propose the A-star algorithm for path planning and the virtual force method for autonomous navigation of the mobile robot. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed method through some experiments using the mobile robot with OPRoS(Open Platform for Robotic Services).

  • 우리에겐 익숙하고 쉽게 느껴지지만, 누군가에겐 어려운 것들이 존재한다. 예로 시각 장애인에게는 거리를 돌아다니는 것, 거리를 달린다는 것은 상당한 용기가 필요한 일이다. 경북대학교 재학 중인 시각 장애인 김경훈 학우는 자신의 유튜브 채널에 등교하는 거리에 익숙해지도록 여러 번 걸어 다니며 연습하는 모습의 영상을 올린 적이 있다. 또 다른 시각장애인은 국민 청원에 트레이닝에 대한 지원 요청을 한 적이 있다. 우리는 이런 사례들을 조사하여 거리에 나가지 않아도, 위험요소를 생각하지 않아도 할 수 있는, 그 누구도 차별 받지 않고 모두가 자연스럽게 운동에 집중할 수 있는 홈 트레이닝 시스템을 구현하였다.
