  • A wilt disease of commercial cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum) which grown in greenhouse was found in Gyeo-nggi province of Korea during the period from August, 2001 to July, 2002. The disease incidence was up to 42.7% in Kimpo, Gyeonggi province. The disease was more severe in ebb and flow irrigation system than con-ventional overhead flooding\'s. The wilted cyclamen plants showed the chlorosis of leaves and followed by the death. The vascular tissues of the infected basal stem and bulb were discolored with black streaks. The casual fungus was identified to be Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cyclaminis on the basis of mycological characteristics. Effect of infected soil showed 100% infection rate when the cyclamen plants were grown in potting with infested soil. Examine resistant cultivar showed ‘Matis red’, ‘Schubert’, ‘Victoria’ and ‘Chopin’ were the resistant cultivars but most of cultivars were susceptible to Fusarium wilt. The control effect of chemicals for cyclamen wilt was not much efficient to curative effects even though. Benomyl WP and Fludioxonil SC on the Fusarium wilt had only preventive effects by soil drenching in the pot before inoculation of F. oxysporum. This is the first report on the fusarium wilt of cyclamen caused by F. oxysporum f. sp. cyclaminis in Korea.

  • In this paper, commercial CFD program FLUENT v5.3 is used for simulation of MCFC stack. Besides using conservation equations included in FLUENT by default, mass change, mole fraction change and heat added or removed due to electrochemical reactions and water gas shift reaction are considered by adding several equations using user defined function. The stacks calculated are 6 and 25 kW class coflow stack which are composed of 20 and 40 unit cells respectively. Simulation results showed that pressure drop took place in the direction of gas flow, and the pressure drop of cathode side is more larger than that of anode side. And the velocity of cathode gas decreased along with the gas flow direction, but the velocity of anode gas increased because of the mass and volume changes by the chemical reactions in each electrodes. Simulated temperature profile of the stack tended to increase along with the gas flow direction and it showed similar results with the experimental data. Water gas shift reaction was endothermic at the gas inlet side but it was exothermic at the outlet side of electrode respectively. Therefore water gas shift reaction played a role in increasing temperature difference between inlet and outlet side of stack. This results suggests that the simulation of large scale commercial stacks need to consider water gas shift reaction.

  • The Objective of this study was to design the model which predict the future cash flow of hospitals and on the basis of designed model to support sound hospital management by the prediction of future cash flow. The five cash flow measurement variables discussed in financial accrual part were used as variables and these variables were defined as NI, NIDPR, CFO, CFAI, CC. To measure the cash flow B/S related variables, P/L related variables and financial ratio related variables were utilized in this study. To measure cash flow models were designed and to estimate the prediction ability of five cash flow models, the martingale model and the market model were utilized. To estimate relative prediction outcome of cash flow prediction model and simple market model, MAE and MER were used to compare and analyze relative prediction ability of the cash flow model and the market model and to prove superiority of the model of the cash flow prediction model, 32 Regional Public Hospital's cross-section data and 4 year time series data were combined and pooled cross-sectional time series regression model was used for GLS-analysis. To analyze this data, Firstly, each cash flow prediction model, martingale model and market model were made and MAE and MER were estimated. Secondly difference-test was conducted to find the difference between MAE and MER of cash flow prediction model. Thirdly after ranking by size the prediction of cash flow model, martingale model and market model, Friedman-test was evaluated to find prediction ability. The results of this study were as follows: when t-test was conducted to find prediction ability among each model, the error of prediction of cash flow model was smaller than that of martingale and market model, and the difference of prediction error cash flow was significant, so cash flow model was analyzed as excellent compare with other models. This research results can be considered conductive in that present the suitable prediction model of future cash flow to the hospital. This research can provide valuable information in policy-making of hospital's policy decision. This research provide effects as follows; (1) the research is useful to estimate the benefit of hospital, solvency and capital supply ability for substitution of fixed equipment. (2) the research is useful to estimate hospital's liqudity, solvency and financial ability. (3) the research is useful to estimate evaluation ability in hospital management. • Korean traditional rice wine, Makgeolli, has been widely consumed with increasing popularity in Korea. Also, there has been an increase in the varieties of Makgeolli for the younger generation. In this study, we examined the physicochemical and microbial properties of Makgeolli supplemented with cucumber during fermentation. Four hundred grams of cucumbers (20% of the total amount of rice) were grinded and added to the rice solution (2 kg rice and 3.12 L distilled water) along with the Nuruk (40 g) and yeast (14 g). After mixing the solution, it was fermented for six days in a water bath ($28^{\circ}C$). During the fermentation, the pH value of the cucumber Makgeolli fell from 5.88 to 3.94 on day-1, and steadily increased to a pH value of 4.48 by day-6. The total acidity of the cucumber Makgeolli sharply increased from 0.02 to 0.20% on day-1, and then slowly increased thereafter to 0.28% by day-6. After the 6-day fermentation, the L values of the control and the cucumber Makgeolli were similar. The total viable cell, lactic acid bacteria and yeast count of the control and the cucumber Makgeolli increased considerably after the 6-day fermentation process. Free sugar analysis showed that glucose contents decreased with increasing fermentation periods. The succinic acid content was the highest among all the organic acids. Thirty-nine volatile compounds were observed on the final day of fermentation in the cucumber Makgeolli.

  • Slip form method is applied to many cases of a shaft these days because it is safer, more economical and faster than cast-in-place method. Slip-up height of the method is approximately 2.5 to 4.0 m/day. If the temperature of concrete is outside the range of 10 to 30℃, the effects of changes in strength or elastic characteristics are significant. Therefore, it is difficult for slip-up speed to be higher than 3 m/day during winter construction. In addition, concrete has heat caused by hydration, which causes temperature cracking of hardened concrete. Therefore, temperature control of concrete curing is necessary for the continuous slip-up of slip form. In this study, the rebound hardness, time of ultrasonic waves propagation, heat of hydration, and external temperature are measured by developing heating panels and test devices for the continuous slip-up. Based on this, heating slip form is manufactured; this was applied to "Kimpo sites" and "Sinwol sites". The compared slip-up speed samples were 1.9 m/day or 0.200 m/hr on average at Gimpo sites (08:00~17:30) and 2.0 m/day or 0.210 m/hr at Sinwol sites.

  • Purpose - The objective of this paper is to explain the successful methods for the revitalization of distribution and logistics of the least developed FEZs (Saemangum, Yellow-sea, and Deagu-Kyengbuk) in Korea. With the recent changes in the economic terrain of Northeast Asia as with the rise of China, Korea has developed a logistics hub concept for improving the efficiency of logistics and distribution industry and its distribution and logistics policy has received positive worldwide evaluation. Therefore, we face severe competition and must always look for ways to address these problems. Research design, Data, Methodology - This study adopts two methods to propose successful revitalization of distribution and logistics in the least developed FEZ. The first method investigates the limitation of these FEZs by analyzing the statutes, and the second one follows comparable cases. Thus, we first reviewed the efficient strategic political alternatives for the least developed FEZ, Yellow-sea, Seamangum-Gunsan, and Deagu-Kyeongbuk, through the relative institution system, law, and future plans. Next, we studied the Bin-hai Economic Free Section (Zone) in China as a comparable example. In order to analyze the competitiveness of logistics in the three FEZs (Yellow-sea, Seamangum-Gunsan, and Deagu-Kyeongbuk), the total factor productivity growth of regional manufacturing industries is divided into three sources: the external trade effect, scale effect, and technical change effect. However, this paper does not test for a positive contribution of external trade, which is a reason of non-building on these FEZs. A FEZ that shows a larger external trade effect than the others will have a comparative advantage in the logistics infrastructure and policy support. This study presented the newly applied Bin-hai FEZ in China, in order to make the studied FEZ as successful by applying the strategy of its distribution and logistics center. Results - In Korea, there is an increased focus on the benefit of the regional development of regions such as the Free Economic Zones (FEZ). We have six FEZs, Inchon, Busan-Jinhae, Guangyang, Yellow-sea, Seamangum-Gunsan, and Deagu-Kyeongbuk. However, our FEZs do not have various supporting factors needed for the logistics and distribution industry. Korea designated the above six places as FEZ and has operated to enhance national competitiveness and ensure a balanced regional development since 2003. However, most FEZs did not receive favorable feedback in the first business performance evaluation and it is necessary to take action for substantial improvements. Conclusions - Especially, over the past 10 years, even though the FEZ policy has been implemented in an effort to promote success in distribution and logistics, there are still many underdeveloped industries in logistics. The main problem is the absence of revitalization of the high value added performance in the distribution and logistics industry. However, there is a limitation to this study. We have used non-empirical method based on a case study to arrive at our findings. Future studies should use appropriate statistical methods to supplement our results and provide a solution to this problem.

  • This paper aims to design and implement a collaborative learning system based on the augmented reality. The existing augment reality-based learning systems have just focused on interactivity between a system and learners without consideration of cooperability, thereby leading to an ineffective approach to encouraging an learning system to be more supportive and conducive of and to cooperation among learners. The collaborative learning system is a learning method, with which learners achieve a common objective through critical thinking and cooperative teamwork so as to seek solutions to such fulfillment. This requires positive interdependence, proactive interactions, a sense of responsibility shared by individuals as well as the group, and development of teamwork among learners. Educators and systems assume a critical role in helping the collaborative education be effective. An educator is responsible for defining a project at the outset of learning activities, organizing groups for learners, and providing evaluation criteria applied to a group's project activities. Meanwhile, a system shall support interactions to take place while facilitating learning activities. Furthermore, an educator shall provide a system for managing and evaluating activities involving interactions among learners. This paper suggests and embodies a collaborative learning system based on the augmented reality with consideration of the aforementioned collaborative education.

  • Internet demand has increased rapidly, and Internet Protocol Version 4, the main Internet protocol, can not cope with various types of network demand in the future. Therefore, it is urgent to spread IPv6-based stable network to solve the shortage of Internet address resources. Due to the proliferation of IoT and the increase in mobile devices, efficient and optimal IPv6 routing design is indispensable. In this paper, we have studied about characteristics of IPv6, address system of IPv6, structure analysis and efficient routing technology among IPv6 terminals. Furthermore, experimental results on routing packet analysis and convergence time are presented in network - based IPv6 routing implementation environment. In addition, we show the results of the experiment analysis by dividing the implementation of IPv6 routing, operation test, and fail over performance into three kinds of routing protocol methods. As a result, this study can be applied to the introduction of IPv6 system, test bed environment construction, and network design.
