In the present study, estrogenic or antiestrogenic activity of cypermethrin, a pyrethroid insecticide was investigated. We used immature rat uterotrophic assay, estrogen-responsive calbindin-D9k (CaBP-9k) gene expression assay and luciferase reporter gene assay for measure of estrogenic potential of cypermethrin.(omitted)

Exposed composite beams composed of H-beams and concrete slabs are generally used in building structures because of their excellent economics and flexural strength. However, deep beams used under large load often make difficulties in construction. In this study, an exposed composite beam with high strength steel (SM460) used in the bottom flange of built-up H-shaped beam, so-called S-Beam, was proposed in order to reduce beam depth. And its positive and negative flexural strengths were experimentally evaluated. The test results showed that S-Beam has excellent flexural strength and ductility.

The final purpose of oral & maxillofacial trauma is functional & esthetic repair. Nowadays, severe trauma involving with the head & neck trauma is increasing. After these trauma occurs, the patients develop similar signs & symptoms with the postoperative healing period, as like thurst, hypertention, excitability, disorientation, convulsion, et al. Because SIADH which is one of important complications after head trauma, shows similar clinical features after operation, we should pay attention to detect it. SIADH shows characteristic laboratory findings, as like hyponatremia, urine hyperosmolality, increased plasma ADH level, continued renal excretion of sodium, so we can easily distinguish it from postoperative conditions. This paper reports two cases, one was the case of the mandibular fracture and cerebral contusion, which included permanent SIADH. The other was the case of the multiple teeth injury and cerebral contusion, which was transient SIADH. We treated them with water restriction, hypertonic saline, and diuretics.

Background and Purpose: The Han(cold)-Yol(heat) patternization is one of the most usually used diagnostic methods in oriental medicine. This is studies for compensating questionnaries for Han-Yol that were made by Sook-Kyeng Kim. Methods: Questionnaries for Yol should be useful for clinical examination. So symptoms being chosen for questionnaries are based on Donguibogam that is clifnical textbook and 46 items are developed. By delphi panel and statistical analysis Items of questionnaries are choosen. Resultset: By delphi panel and statistical analysis 8 Items of questionnaries are choosen. Conclusion: Further research is necessary for improvement reliabilities and validities of the questionnaires for Yol pattemization.

Rhus Verniciflua Stokes has been used for long history to treat blood stasis and cancer in Oriental Medicine. But urushiol, a constituent of Rhus Verniciflua Stokes has T-cell mediated allergic reaction, so it has made clinical limitation. Nexia is allergen removed extract of Rhus Verniciflua Stokes and its extraction process as well as quality control is needed to be standardized. The optimized extraction condition is as follow; temperature is $90{\sim}95^{\circ}C$, volume of slovent 10 times, extraction time >6 hours, pressure $, slovnet water or EtOH(60%), yield 8.1${\sim}$9.8(w/w). HPLC pattern and isolation study showed Nexia contain fisetin(>13.0%), fustin(>7.0%) and no urushiol.

Basal cell nevus syndrome is inherited as an autosomal dominant trait with variable expressivity. This syndrome comprises a number of abnormalities such as multiple nevoid basal cell carcinomas of the skin, skeletal abnormalities as bifid rib and fusion of vertebrae, central nervous system abnormalities as mental retardation, eye abnormalities, and multiple odontogenic kerato cysts. In 1960, Gorlin and Goltz first described the features of this disease as constituting a true syndrome; since then, it has been realized that it is much more complex and encompassing than initially thought. This patient has many symtoms of basal cell nevus syndrome. - we has known multiple jaw cysts through panorama and facial computed tomography. He has hyperchromatism on basal cell through skin biopsy. In ophthalmologic consult, he has blindness on right. On his past medical history, amputation was done on his toes for polyductalism. - So we report with literature reviews

We investigate the plausibility of mass return, from stellar mass loss processes within the central ~100 pc region of the Milky Way (the inner nuclear bulge), as a mass supply mechanism for the Circumnuclear Disk (CND). Gas in the Galactic disk migrates inward to the Galactic centre due to the asymmetric potential caused by the Galactic bar. The inward migration of gas stops and accumulates to form the central molecular zone (CMZ), at 100-200 pc from the Galactic center. It is commonly assumed that stars have formed in the CMZ throughout the lifetime of the Galaxy and have diffused inward to form a 'r-2 stellar cusp' within the inner nuclear bulge. We propose that the stars migrating inward from the CMZ supply gas to the inner nuclear bulge via stellar mass loss, resulting in the formation of a gas disk along the Galactic plane and subsequent inward migration down to the central 10 pc region (CND). We simulate the evolution of a gas distribution that initially follows the stellar distribution of the aforementioned stellar cusp, and illustrate the potential gas supply toward the CND.

Orthopraxia & Dermatology in traditional Korean medicine has taken a large part of our medicine from the ancient times. However, studies that have been carried out so far were mainly concerned with specific disease or treatment but studies on the history of orthopraxia & dermatology in traditional Korean medicine have not been done largely. Subsequently, it is confirmed that diseases belonging to the category of orthopraxia & dermatology in traditional Korean medicine are carried with no less weight in the books other than literatures specialized in orthopraxia & dermatology while Korean medical literature is being researched with interests in the history of orthopraxia & dermatology in traditional Korean medicine. This paper mainly introduced and analyzed medical literatures containing diseases in orthopraxia & dermatology among Korean medical literatures which were classified into books on emergency measures, general medical documents and surgically specialized records prior to DongUiBoGam.

1. Objectives Recently there have been studied the trials to take out the characteristics of Sasangin's face. But there is not the report of the basis of Sasangin's face. So I want to exchange between Sasang Constitutional Medicine (SCM) and others ; metrology, technology, psychology, ete. 2. Methods I searched documents of Lee Jae-ma and one's junior. I maid a comparative study of each Sasangin's face through them. And I counted each item to find out the major review point of Sasangin's face. 3. Results and Conclusions We found out Sasangin's face has their own characteristics; first impression, forehead, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, voice. And 'First Impression' is the major factor to check the review point of the face for the classification of sasangin through the 9 documents. In the future we have to prove the contents of these clinically. And we have to research the measurement of the face.
