1945년 분단 이후 북한은 지명을 사회주의 혁명의 도구로서 이용하였고, 언어 정책의 일환으로 이를 관리하였다. 1952년 행정구역 개편과정에서 시 군 리 지명을 언어 관리 차원에서 바꾸었고, 1966년 지명조사 사업의 완료 이후 주체사상을 반영하면서 지명을 관리하였다. 지명의 전부 요소에 고유어와 인명을 이용한 지명이 적지 않게 등장하였고, 후부 요소도 남한과는 다른 용어를 사용하기 시작하였다. 지명 관리의 일환으로 사전을 적극적으로 편찬하였다. 지명 연구는 사회성과 역사성을 반영한 논문들이 발표되고 있다. 연구 주제는 1990년대 이전에는 사회주의 지명을 찬양하는 글들이 많아 발표되나 2000년대 이후에는 지역 내에서 지명 특성을 소개하는 글들의 비중이 높아졌다. 이 시기에는 지명으로 학위를 취득한 학자들이 증가하면서 이전의 연구 내용과 차이를 보이고 있다.

This study aims to reveal the multilayered nature of the formal aspects of communal house architecture in North Korea. It is said that Kim Jong Il, who emerged as a successor after the mid-1970s, brought about a change in the architecture, leading the construction of a sculptural communal house on Gwangbok Street in 1989, and wrote The art of architecture (1992), which theorized architecture as an object of art. Therefore, it is widely perceived that the communal house was transformed from a simple form of living function to an artistic architecture with the rise of Kim Jong Il. This study, however, argues that this change was the result of an internal evolution in North Korean architecture, rather than a simple change in the position of an individual in power. It seeks to move away from the dichotomy that divides the communal house into two periods: the "KimIl-sung period," in which the communal house was laid out in a simple form to provide mass supply and a socialist lifestyle, and the "Kim Jong-il period," in which the communal house took on an artistic form, such as the Gwangbok Street communal house, in the early years of reconstruction. In the 1950s and 1960s, before KimJong-il's arrival, the communal house form was not simply a flat arrangement, but a three-dimensional and sculptural consideration of the effect on the cityscape.

In order to direct the form of the immune response in an antigen-specific manner, we constructed a fusion protein (OVA/IL12) that contained the T cell-dependent antigen, ovalbumin (OVA), covalently linked to murine interleukin-12 (IL-12). The OVA/IL12 protein was produced in a baculovirus expression system and was purified by anti-OVA immunoaffinity chromatography. The purified OVA/ILI2 protein displayed potent IL-12 bioactivity in an IL-12 proliferation assay. BALB/c mice immunized with the OVA/IL12 protein produced increased quantities of anti-OVA IgG2a antibody compared with mice immunized with recombinant OVA alone. Lymph node cells from the immunized mice with the OVA/IL12 protein produced large amounts of IFN-,Y when restimulated in vitro with OVA, while those from mice immunized with the OVA protein produced little or no IFN-.gamma.. In contrast, immunization with a mixture of OVA and free recombinant IL-12 also induced IFN-.gamma. production, which was not OVA-specific. These studies indicate that the OVA/IL12 fusion protein can induce OVA-specific, Th1-dominated immune responses, and that the covalent linkage of OVA and IL-12 confines the effect of IL-12 to OVA-specific cells.

Effects of power ratio on the electrical and optical properties of Au based Ga-, B- codoped ZnO(GZOB) thin films were investigated. GZOB thin films on Au based PC flexible substrate were deposited at various power in the range from 50 to 125 W by DC magnetron sputtering. Au layer was fabricated to achieve good electrical conductivity. The presence of additional boron impurity leads to improve structural defects. Thus, the c-axis orientation along (002) plane was enhanced with the increasing of power ratio and the surface morphology of the films showed a homogeneous and nano-sized microstructure. GZOB films grown at 125W were investigated a low resistivity value of $1{\times}10^{-3}{\Omega}cm$ and a visible transmission of 80% with a thickness of 300nm.

The antitumor effects of the 2E4 and anti--Tac, monoclonal antibodies directed to Il-2 receptor (IL-2R) conjugated with .alpha.-particle emitting radionuclide bismuth-212., were compared. The $^{212}Bi-2E4$ demonstratedspecific cytotocicity to EL4J3, 4, a I$L-2R^+$ cell line, than to EL4J, a $IL-2R^-$ cell line in thymidine incorporation assy. TEX>$^{212}Bi-2E4$ exerted the maximal antitumor effect in that % T/C in C57BL/6 mice implanted with EL4J3.4 ascitic tumor was 331% at the concentration of $50{\;}{\mu}Ci$, while that of $^{212}Bi-anti-Tac$ was 258% at $100{\;}{\mu}Ci$.

Instrument transformers provide the reproduction of the primary current or voltage to the measuring and protecting devices. The errors of an iron-cored transformer are caused by the difference between the primary and secondary currents due to the hysteresis characteristics of the iron-core. An error compensating algorithm for instrument transformer can improve the accuracy of conventional current and voltage transformers. This paper describes the performances of the electronic current and voltage transformers mounted an error compensating algorithm. The test results of the electronic transformers in Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute(KERI) are presented.

Pharmacological inhibition of interleukin-12 (IL-12) production may be a therapeutic strategy for preventing the development and progression of disease in experimental models of autoimmunity. In this study, the effects of myricetin, a naturally occurring flavonoid present in fruits, vegetables and medicinal herbs, on the production of IL-12 were investigated in mouse macrophages stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Myricetin significantly inhibited the LPS­induced IL-12 production from both primary macrophages and the RAW264.7 monocytic cell-line in a dose-dependent manner. The effect of myricetin on IL-12 gene promoter activation was analyzed by transfecting RAW264.7 cells with IL-12 gene promoter/luciferase constructs. The repressive effect was mapped to a region in the IL-12 gene promoter containing a binding site for NF-${\kappa}B$. Furthermore, activation of macrophages by LPS resulted in markedly enhanced binding activity to the NF-${\kappa}B$ site, which significantly decreased upon addition of myricetin, indicating that myricetin inhibited IL-12 production in LPS-activated macrophages via the down­regulation of NF-KB binding activity.

6.25전쟁 초기 방어전투 중 유일하게 성공한 춘천지구 전투를 재분석 하여 전투 성공요인과 의의를 재평가하는데 연구 목적이 있다. 그동안의 연구결과는 한국군의 입장에서 분석된 사항으로 북한군의 기습남침에 맞서 초기 방어전투의 성공적인 면과 북한군의 단기속결 의도를 좌절시킨 전투로 집중 조명되어졌다. 이번 연구는 북한군 남침 작전계획을 고려하여 김일성의 전략적 방침과 연계하여 춘천지구 전투를 재분석해 보고자 한다. 즉 북한군의 남침계획과 연계하여 적전술의 입장에서 재분석하였다. 이를 통하여 춘천지구 전투가 6.25전쟁에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 알아보고자 한 것이다. 김일성의 전략적 방침에 의거한 북한군의 작전계획을 초기전투에서 한국군 제6사단이 분쇄하였다는 점에서 전술적 승리 이상의 의미가 있다. 춘천지구 전투는 춘천이라는 일개 지역에서 진행된 성공적인 초기 방어전투를 떠나 김일성의 전략적 방침을 좌절시켜 북한군의 전쟁계획 자체를 무력화시킨 '결정적 전투'로 재평가 받아야 될 것이다.
