  • Multiprecision multiplication is the most expensive operation in public key-based cryptography. Therefore, many multiplication methods have been studied intensively for several decades. In Workshop on Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems 2011 (CHES2011), a novel multiplication method called 'operand caching' was proposed. This method reduces the number of required load instructions by caching the operands. However, it does not provide full operand caching when changing the row of partial products. To overcome this problem, a novel method, that is, 'consecutive operand caching' was proposed in Workshop on Information Security Applications 2012 (WISA2012). It divides a multiplication structure into partial products and reconstructs them to share common operands between previous and next partial products. However, there is still room for improvement; therefore, we propose a finely designed operand-caching mode to minimize useless memory accesses when the first row is changed. Finally, we reduce the number of memory access instructions and boost the speed of the overall multiprecision multiplication for public key cryptography.

  • In this paper, we derive the expression of the cache hitting probability with random caching policy and propose the joint optimization algorithm based on difference of convex algorithm (DCA) in the three-tier caching heterogeneous cellular network assisted by macro base stations, helpers and users. Under the constraint of the caching capacity of caching devices, we establish the optimization problem to maximize the cache hitting probability of the network. In order to solve this problem, a convex function is introduced to convert the nonconvex problem to a difference of convex (DC) problem and then we utilize DCA to obtain the optimal caching probability of macro base stations, helpers and users for each content respectively. Simulation results show that when the density of caching devices is relatively low, popular contents should be cached to achieve a good performance. However, when the density of caching devices is relatively high, each content ought to be cached evenly. The algorithm proposed in this paper can achieve the higher cache hitting probability with the same density.

  • As traffic on the web increases, users are faced with increasing delays. A key performance measure for the web is the speed with which object is served to users. Web caching is the one of the key method that improve performance of Web base system. Also, many studies for efficient management of storing scope on cache are performed actively. An important issue in web caching is how to improve a efficiency of a caching system. For this, efficient web cache management is required. A solution for this is to set up the caching strategy that consider a heterogeneity of Web object. In this paper, We propose a new web caching technique for a performance improvement of a multimedia object process. The proposed method is based on a heterogeneity of Web object, and it increases performance of a caching system by increasing the caching efficiency of a multimedia object. In the experiment, We verified performance improvement of proposed web caching system through performance analysis of a proposed system.

  • The collaborative content caching system is an effective solution developed in recent years to reduce transmission delay and network traffic. In order to decrease the service end-to-end transmission delay for future 5G ultra-dense networks (UDN), this paper proposes a novel service migration method that can guarantee the continuity of service and simultaneously reduce the traffic flow in the network. In this paper, we propose a service migration optimization model that minimizes the cumulative transmission delay within the constraints of quality of service (QoS) guarantee and network condition. Subsequently, we propose an improved firefly algorithm to solve this optimization problem. Simulation results show that compared to traditional collaborative content caching schemes, the proposed algorithm can significantly decrease transmission delay and network traffic flow.

  • In-network caching is a key component of information-centric networking (ICN) for reducing content download time, network traffic, and server workload. Data center network (DCN) is an ideal candidate for applying the ICN design principles. In this paper, we have evaluated the effectiveness of caching placement and replacement in DCN with butterfly-topology. We also suggest a new cache placement policy based on the number of routing nodes (i.e., hop counts) through which travels the content. With a probability inversely proportional to the hop counts, the caching placement policy makes each routing node to cache content chunks. Simulation results lead us to conclude (i) cache placement policy is more effective for cache performance than cache replacement, (ii) the suggested cache placement policy has better caching performance for butterfly-type DCNs than the traditional caching placement policies such as ALWASYS and FIX(P), and (iii) high cache hit ratio does not always imply low average hop counts.

  • Conventional caching system doesn't support Real-Time attributes and load balance. To solve these problems, this paper describes the design and implementation of the RIOP(Real-Time Inter-ORB Protocol) to provide QoS guarantees mechanism integrating RSVP and TAO ORB. Futhermore, it provides fast XCSLS(Extended Caching System for Load Balance) implementing main memory cache in Primary Server using locality of objects. In this paper, a key feature is presented : QoS enforcement, PS(Primary Server) and RS(Replicated Server)

  • With the rapid development of urban traffic system and fast increasing of vehicle numbers, the traditional centralized ways to generate the source-destination shortest path in terms of travel time(the optimal path) encounter several problems, such as high server pressure, low query efficiency, roads state without in-time updating. With the widespread use of smart cameras in the urban traffic and surveillance system, this paper maps the optimal path finding problem in the dynamic road network to the shortest routing problem in the smart camera networks. The proposed distributed optimal path generation algorithm employs the delay routing and caching mechanism. Real-time route update is also presented to adapt to the dynamic road network. The test result shows that this algorithm has advantages in both query time and query packet numbers.

  • This paper focuses on a hash-based, distributed Wet caching network that eliminates inter-cache communication. An agent program on cache servers, a mapping program on the DNS server, and other components comprised in a distributed Web caching network were modified and developed to implement a so-called "consistent" hashing. Also, a dynamic load balancing algorithm is proposed to address the load-balancing problem that is a key performance issue on distributed architectures. This algorithm effectively balances the load among cache servers by distributing the calculated amount of mapping items that have higher popularity than others. Therefore, this developed network can resolve the imbalanced load that is caused by a variable page popularity, a non-uniform distribution of a hash-based mapping, and a variation of cache servers.

  • Future mobile communications face enormous challenges as traditional voice services are replaced with increasing mobile multimedia and data services. To address the vast data traffic volume and the requirement of user Quality of Experience (QoE) in the next generation mobile networks, it is imperative to develop efficient content distribution technique, aiming at significantly reducing redundant data transmissions and improving content delivery performance. On the other hand, in recent years cloud computing as a promising new content-centric paradigm is exploited to fulfil the multimedia requirements by provisioning data and computing resources on demand. In this paper, we propose a cooperative caching framework which implements State based Content Distribution (SCD) algorithm for future mobile networks. In our proposed framework, cloud service providers deploy a plurality of cloudlets in the network forming a Distributed Cloud Service Network (DCSN), and pre-allocate content services in local cloudlets to avoid redundant content transmissions. We use content popularity and content state which is determined by content requests, editorial updates and new arrivals to formulate a content distribution optimization model. Data contents are deployed in local cloudlets according to the optimal solution to achieve the lowest average content delivery latency. We use simulation experiments to validate the effectiveness of our proposed framework. Numerical results show that the proposed framework can significantly improve content cache hit rate, reduce content delivery latency and outbound traffic volume in comparison with known existing caching strategies.

  • Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) and Information-Centric Networking (ICN) are essential network architectures for the future Internet. The advantages of MEC and ICN such as computation and storage capabilities at the edge of the network, in-network caching and named-data communication paradigm can greatly improve the quality of video streaming applications. However, the packet loss in wireless network environments still affects the video streaming performance and the existing loss recovery approaches in ICN does not exploit the capabilities of MEC. This paper proposes a Deep Learning based Loss Recovery Mechanism (DL-LRM) for video streaming over MEC based ICN. Different with existing approaches, the Forward Error Correction (FEC) packets are generated at the edge of the network, which dramatically reduces the workload of core network and backhaul. By monitoring network states, our proposed DL-LRM controls the FEC request rate by deep reinforcement learning algorithm. Considering the characteristics of video streaming and MEC, in this paper we develop content caching detection and fast retransmission algorithm to effectively utilize resources of MEC. Experimental results demonstrate that the DL-LRM is able to adaptively adjust and control the FEC request rate and achieve better video quality than the existing approaches.
