Technical Analysis for Small Hydro-power Generator Integrated with Electric Distribution Systems (소수력발전의 배전계통 연계를 위한 기술적 분석)

  • 분산형 전원이 전력계통에 연계됨에 따라 역조류, 보호협조, 계통 동기화, 전기품질 문제 등 여러 가지 문제를 야기한다. 이에 따라 전력회사에서는 분산형 전원의 계통연계 기술 기준을 제시하고 해당 분산형 전원의 계통 연계에 대한 기술 검토를 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 동기발전기형 2500KVA 소수력발전기 2대의 배전계통 연계에 대한 기술적 검토를 수행하였으며 해당 분산형 전인이 동기발전기임을 고려하여 계통연계시 상시전압변동 및 보호방식에 대해 집중 분석하였다. 먼저 소수력발전기가 연계되는 지점에서의 기존 선로 및 전력설비의 여건과 소수력발전기의 출력용량 및 역률을 고려하여 연계 지점에서의 전압변동을 검토하여 적절한 연계방식을 제시한다. 그리고 시간대별 소수력발전기의 발전량과 해당 배전선로의 부하량을 고려하여 기 설치된 보호계전기에 의한 단독운전 검출 능력을 검토하고자 한다.

  • The air-cooled waterwheel generator has a fan connected to waterwheel shaft or motor driven fan or fans. The fans are operated at constant speed, constant input, regardless of generator loss which is varied according to generator output and coolant the perature. Energy savings may he possible if the cooling air flow is controlled according to generato output and air temperature depending on season. The simulation and experience have been done on the 22.6 KVA Waterwheel generator by using AC variable speed drive. The results gave us los cut of generator.

  • This paper deals with the design method of Superconduting AC Generator(SCG). The establishment of design principle and design procedure of SCG are included in this study. Electric characteristics of SCG, such as synchronous reactance and subsubtransient reactance, are specified first as constraints and the size of SCG is calculated. A 20 KVA with double-shield single-rotor is chosen for case study.

  • In the current source type active power filter, the DC current source is implemented using an inductor with large inductance by maintaining the inductor current constantly. In this case, to compensate the loss of the switching devices of the power converter and the inductor, some real power should be supplied to the filter from the source. This process is analyzed through the equivalent circuit which expresses the loss of the switching devices and the inductor with the equivalent resistor R. This work discusses the validation of this DC side equivalent circuit and points out the problems, through the experiments using the experimental active power filter with 220V, 10KVA ratings, and suggests a more accurate equivalent circuit which puts the saturation voltage of the power transistors and the threshold voltage of the diodes into consideration.

  • 송전 및 배전계통에 운영되고 있는 유입식 변압기는, 생분해성이 좋아 보다 더 친환경적인 식물성 절연유로 대체되어 가고 있으며, 미국등지에서는 이미 10여년 전부터 식물성 절연유를 사용한 변압기를 배전 및 송전 계통에 사용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 광유계 절연유를 대체하는 식물성 절연유를 사용한 배전급 변압기 및 기존의 광유계 절연유를 사용하는 동일한 용량의 배전급 변압기($1_{\phi}2010KVA$ 13200-230V)를 제작하여 열사이를 형태의 복합 열화를 시켜, 식물유 및 광유를 채취 분석하고 그 열화 기구를 연구하였다.

  • Numerical analysis of the laminar natural convection in an enclosure of the 20KVA oil-immeresed transformer is presented. The core in the transformer is modelled as a rectangular cylinder and calculation is carried out for $Ra=10^3-10^6$. The correlating equation between the inner cylinder mean Nusselt numbers and Rayleigh numbers can be obtained. The conduction and convection regimes for the variation of Rayleigh numbers are well represented in the temperature distributions along the side wall of the inner cylinder. For high Rayleigh numbers, it is found that the recirculating flow in the enclosure above the inner cylinder is divided into two recirculation regions.

  • This paper presents the new current sharing control method of a 12-pulse phase-controlled rectifier(PCR) for a UPS. The control circuit of the 12-Pulse PCR with a parallel operating rectifier system is proposed to balance input currents and to reduce the harmonics of input current. The PCR is used widely in the industrial world, since its cost is much lower than that of the PWM converter and the composition of control circuits is simple. This system is developed and tested for a 3-phase 400KVA UPS system and the experimental results in this application are included.

  • In this paper a large scale STATCOM using double-connected multi-step inverter is proposed and operating principle along with control method is detailed. A simple auxiliary circuit including an interphase transformer is employed to improve output voltage waveform of 12-step into 36-step. The proposed scheme could be a cost effective approach in high power applications such as 10MVar to 30MVar STATCOM. Experimental results from a 2KVA laboratory prototype show validity of the proposed method.

  • This paper proposes a harmonic a harmonic reduction technique of the parallel-connected twelve-pulse thyristor rectifiers. The proposed system is an improvement over the diode rectifier system with an active interphase reactor [2]. In this scheme, a low KVA (0.15 Po (PU) ) active current source injects a triangular current into an interphase reactor of a twelve-pulse thyristor rectifier along the phase delay angle. The current injection results in near sinusoidal input current with less than 1% THD. Detailed analysis of the proposed scheme along scheme along with design equations is illustrated. Simulation results verify the concept.

  • This paper deals with the desing method of Superconducting AC Generator (SCG). The establishment of design principle and design procedure of SCG are included in this study. Electric characteristics of SCG, such as synchronous reactance and sub-sub-transient reactance, are specified first as constraints and the size of SCG is calculated. Synchronous reactance and sub-sub-transient reactance are important factors because they determine the steady state and transient characteristics of SCG, respectively. A 20KVA SCG with double-shielded single-rotor is chosen for the case study. The design procedure proposed in this papar will also be applicable to large scale generators.
