  • In this paper, additional data transmission scheme was proposed based on SSB-OFDM Communication system which was know as efficient technique for bandwidth, because it used only single side band instead of double side band. When sending additional data which should be well spreaded for low power characteristics and error robustness. Gold code was selected for spreading code because it has excellent low-cross correlation characteristics. Through computer simulation, the validity was proved that proposed system is well worked with SSB-OFDM system.

  • In this work we investigate the power of power law in the VoD service over IP network. Especially, we show that the power of power law is strong in the location of the contents storage for the VoD service and its impact on the link dimensioning. This work first shows the instance of the power law in the popularity of the video contents from the real data for the IPTV service. After that we propose an analytic model that characterizes the behavior of customers in accessing the video servers as well as the power law in the viewing pattern. Finally, we show the impact of the power law by proposing a model for the cost as well as link dimensioning. Via numerical experiment we show the implication of the proposition.

  • Visible light communication based wireless personal area network (WPAN) has recently remained in the center of attention, as it shows a lot of promise to a be a perfect replacement for the contemporary Radio frequency (RF) communication at least in the indoor environment. A commercially deployable VLC based WPAN must support diverse traffic requirement for different kinds of service. In this paper, we have proposed an innovative bandwidth allocation scheme for VLC based WPAN. We wish to allocate bandwidth adaptively for users in a network where bandwidth for each user is allocated scalably. Our aim is to allow maximum number of users in a VLC based WPAN where each user is guaranteed their required QoS. The simulation results justify that the proposed scheme is better than the conventional scheme.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel modulation that combines the spatial modulation (SM) with the subcarrier intensity-modulation (SIM) for optical wireless communications. The performance of SIM-SM scheme is compared to a conventional SIM by computer simulation. For the spectral efficiency (SE) of 2bits/s/Hz, the performance gain about 2dB is achieved. As the SE increases to 3bit or 4bits/s/Hz, the Eb/N0 gain becomes about 5dB. It is shown the attenuation for the SIM is more serious than the SIM-SM according to increasing the number of the subcarriers.

  • The article is concerned with a mathematical modeling which can improve performances of PDE-based restoration models. Most PDE-based restoration models tend to lose fine structures due to certain degrees of nonphysical dissipation. Sources of such an undesirable dissipation are analyzed for total variation-based restoration models. Based on the analysis, the so-called equalized net diffusion (END) modeling is suggested in order for PDE-based restoration models to significantly reduce nonphysical dissipation. It has been numerically verified that the END-incorporated models can preserve and recover fine structures satisfactorily, outperforming the basic models for both quality and efficiency. Various numerical examples are shown to demonstrate effectiveness of the END modeling.

  • There are two FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) algorithms, which are DIT(Decimation-In-Time) and DIF(Decimation-In- Frequency). Even the DIF algorithm is more widely used because of its various implementation architectures, the DIT structures have not been investigated. In this paper, the DIT Radix-4 algorithm is derived and its efficient butterfly structure is proposed for SoC(System on a Chip) implementation.

  • This paper points out some weakpoints in the "A Study on Public Key Cryptosystem for Computer Communication Networks" proposed by Gi Jun Ku at KICS 92-22('92-3 Vol.17 No.3) . This public key cryptosystem based on polynomials over finite rings is not strong against cipertext-only-attack. This paper indicate the insecureness of the proposed a public key cryptosystem.ptosystem.

  • Compressive sensing is a new data acquisition method enabling the reconstruction of sparse or compressible signals from a smaller number of measurements than Nyquist rate, as long as the signal is sparse and the measurement is incoherent. In this paper, we consider a simple hypothesis testing in target detection and estimation problems using compressive sensing, where the performance depends on the sparsity level of the signals being detected. We provide theoretical analysis results along with some experiment results.

  • In this paper, we developed a Web App that operates in a mobile device. Also, we designed and developed an electronic dictionary of English words and sentences are expressed by English pronunciation with hangeul. The database using English words, Hangeul code with pictures, vocabulary definitions, speech sound files, and many sentences are created in this system. We developed the English learning system using HTML5 and m-Bizmaker software tools.

  • In this paper, we implement the VLC system based on CAN communication which is usually used in car, plane, ship, product line control system, medical device and industrial device. We implement the application circuit which is VLC and CAN communication and explain the principle. Circuit's pulse features are demonstrated by each part's signal. Total communication distance is 3m and it's transmission performance is error free.
