자기장 응답 입자의 배향이 자기유변 탄성체의 전달성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Orientation of Magneto-responsible Particles on the Transmissibility of Magneto-rheological Elastomer)

  • 자기장 응답 입자를 효율적으로 배향시킬 수 있는 네오디뮴 자석이 삽입된 몰드가 제시되었다. 입자 배향 공정을 통해 이방성 자기유변 탄성체가 제조되었으며 입자의 최적 첨가량은 30 vol.% 였다. 입자 배향성이 증가할수록 자기유변 탄성체의 인장강도는 감소하고 경도는 증가하였다. FFT 분석기를 통해 측정된 최대 자기유변 특성은 30 vol.%의 자기장 응답 입자를 포함한 자기유변 탄성체에서 나타났으며 인가전류 3 A에서 최대 59%의 전단 모듈러스 변화율을 나타내었다. 또한 인가전류와 자기장 응답 입자의 첨가량이 증가할수록 자기유변 탄성체의 전달성은 감소하였고 흡수 주파수 영역은 증가하여 우수한 댐핑 특성을 나타내었다.

자동차용 웨더스트립의 영구변형 예측 (Numerical Prediction of Permanent Deformation of Automotive Weather Strip)

  • The automotive weather strip has functions of isolating of water, dust, noise and vibration from outside. To achieve good sealing performance, weather strip should be designed to have the high contact force and wide contact area. However, these design causes excessive permanent deformation of weather strip. The causes of permanent deformation is generally explained to be the chemical material detrioration and physical variation and cyclic loading, etc. This paper introduces a numerical method to predict the permanent deformation using the time dependent viscoelastic model which is represented by Prony series in ABAQUS. Uniaxial tension and creep tests were conducted to obtain the material data. And the lab. test for the permanent deformation was accelerated during shorter time, 300 hours. The permanent deformation of weather strip was successfully predicted under the different loading conditions and different section shapes using the suggested numerical process.

  • EPDM 소재를 공기 중, 수돗물, 3차 증류수, NaCl/$CaCl_2$ 혼합 수용액, $CaCl_2/FeCl_3$ 혼합 수용액에서 7일간 노화시켰다. 노화 온도는 $90^{\circ}C$였다. 공기와 3차 증류수에서 노화된 시험편은 백화가 발생하지 않았으나, 수돗물, NaCl/$CaCl_2$ 혼합 수용액, $CaCl_2/FeCl_3$ 혼합 수용액에서 노화된 시험편은 백화가 발생하였다. 백화 물질을 규명하기 위해 GC/MS를 이용하여 가용성 유기물을 분석하였으며, 영상 분석기와 SEM을 이용하여 표면 형태를 조사하였으며, EDX를 이용하여 표면 적층물의 원소 분석을 실행하였다. 백화의 주요 원인으로는 금속 이온과 지방산과의 반응에 의한 지방산 금속염의 형성을 들 수 있다.

자동차용 TPE 부품의 백화 처리 (Treatment of Whitening of a Car TPE Component)

  • 자동차용 내외장재로 사용하는 열가소성 엘라스토머(thermoplastic elastomer, TPE)로 제조한 시험편 표면에 340 nm의 자외선을 총 $2500\;kJ/m^2$ 조사하였다. 자외선 조사 후 검정 시험편 표면은 뿌옇게 변했다. 노화 전후 시험편 표면에 있는 물질을 채취하여 GC/MS로 분석하였으나 특이한 점이 발견되지 않았다. 노화된 시험편의 표면에서 잔크랙이 다수 발견되었다. 노화된 시험편의 백화 현상은 노화된 표면을 솔질하거나 불로 지지면 사라졌다. 솔질이나 불로 지진 후에는 표면에 있던 잔크랙이 사라졌다. 노화 전후의 시험편과 노화된 시험편 표면을 솔질 혹은 불로 지진 후의 시험편을 영상 분석기, SEM, EDX, ATR 등으로 분석하여 비교한 결과, 솔질이나 불로 처리한 후 제거된 백화 현상은 솔질이나 불에 의한 가열로 TPE의 구성 성분 중 하나인 폴리프로필렌이 잔크랙을 메웠기 때문으로 설명할 수 있다.

복합재료 샌드위치 엔드플레이트의 연료전지 냉시동성 향상에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Composite Sandwich Endplates on the Improvement of Cold Start Characteristics for PEMFC)

  • The cold start problem is one of major obstacles to overcome for the commercialization of fuel cell vehicles. However, the cold start characteristics of fuel cell systems are very complicated since various phenomena, i.e. ice-blocking, electro-chemical reactions, heat transfer, and defrosting of BOP components, are involved in them. This paper presents a framework to approach the problem at a full stack scale using Axiomatic Design (AD). It was characterized in terms of Functional Requirements (FRs) and Design Parameters (DPs) while their relations were established in a design matrix. Considering the design matrix, the endplates should have low thermal conductivity and capacity without increase in weight or decrease in structural stiffness. Consequently, composite sandwich endplates were proposed and examined both through finite element analyses and experiments simulating cold start conditions. From the examinations, it was found that the composite sandwich endplates significantly contributed to improving the cold start characteristics of PEMFC.

알카리로 처리된 나노케냐프 섬유가 PP 복합소재 내에서 기계적 물성 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Alkali Treated Nano-kenaf Fiber in Polypropylene Composite upon Mechanical Property Changes)

  • 나노케냐프 섬유가 포함된 셀룰로스 섬유를 알카리(NaOH)로 처리 후 PP 수지에 첨가하여 물성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 조사하였다. 알카리를 섬유에 처리한 효과로는 M.I., 신장율, 충격강도가 증가하는 반면 인장강도, 휨모듈러스, 열변형온도가 처리하지 않은 섬유에 비해 감소하였다. 알카리를 나노섬유에 처리하였을 때 섬유표면의 불순물과 화학물질을 제거하여 섬유표면의 특성을 변화시켜서 나노섬유와 PP 수지간의 계면간 접착력을 감소시키고 PP의 특성을 변화시키는 것으로 보인다.

병렬형 하이브리드 전기자동차 구동계의 Jerk 저감 제어 (Drive-train Jerk Reduction Control for Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicles)

  • TMED(Transmission Mounted Electric Device) parallel hybrid configuration can realize EV(Electric Vehicle) mode by disengaging the clutch between an engine and a transmission-mounted motor to improve efficiencies of low load driving and regenerative braking. In the EV mode, however, jerk can be induced since there are insufficient damping elements in the drive-train. Though the jerk gives demoralizing influence upon driving comport, adding a physical damper is not applicable due to constraints of the layout. This study suggests the jerk reduction control, composed of active damping method and torque profiling method, to suppress the jerk without hardware modification. The former method creates a virtual damper by generating absorbing torque in the opposite direction of the oscillation. The latter method reduces impulse on the mated gear teeth of the drive-train by limiting the gradient of traction torque when the direction of the torque is reversed. To validate the effectiveness of the suggested strategy, a series of vehicle tests are carried out and it is observed that the amplitude of the oscillation can be reduced by up to 83%.

연료전지 자동차의 물탱크 해빙과정에 대한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Analysis of Melting Process in a Water Tank for Fuel-cell Vehicles)

  • Good cold start characteristics are essential for satisfactory operation of fuel cell vehicles. In this study, the melting process has been numerically investigated for a water tank used in fuel cell vehicles. The 2-D model of the tank containing ice and plate heaters was assumed and the unsteady melting process of the ice was calculated. The enthalpy method was used for the description of the melting process, and a FVM code was used to solve the problem. The feasibility study compared with other experiment showed that the developed program was able to describe the melting process well. From the numerical analysis carried out for different wall temperatures of the pate heaters, some important design factors could be found such as local overheating and pressurization in the tank.

군용차량의 주행모드에 따른 상대 노면 가혹도 분석 (Relative Road Damage Analysis with Driving Modes of a Military Vehicle)

  • A military vehicle is driven at different usage modes with the army application and servicing conditions. For practical durability validation, DT(Development Test) on a new military vehicle should be run up to the durability target kilometers on test courses in the specified proving ground. Driving velocities with test courses at the endurance mode of DT are established definitely. However, OT(Operational Test) and initial endurance test of production car can't be performed only in the DT courses due to the development period limit. Therefore, this paper focuses on the method to analyze the relative road damages between the endurance test in DT and other endurance test. Road load acquisition tests on KLTV(Korean Light Tactical Vehicle) were implemented at 15 driving modes in off-road and cross-country courses of two tests. Wheel accelerations were processed through band-pass filter, and then the main frequency and maximum power of the signals were computed by PSD analysis. Finally, using the proving ground optimization based on RDS(Relative Damage Spectrum) characterization, the damage factors between off-roads of test courses were determined.
