A magnet for urban transit Maglev is designed, analyzed and experimented to evaluate and to improve its characteristic. FEM is also used to calculate magnetic field density, magnetic force, leakage flux and losses. Seven cases of magnets are analyzed and tested for verifying the calculated characteristics and for optimizing the shape. Using the results, an improved levitation magnet is proposed for the vehicle.

1-Dodecylazacycloheptan-2-one (Azone) is a new agent that enhances the percutaneous penetration of a number of different chemicals. BVDU and FEAU were evaluated for their potential efficacy in the treatment of cutaneous herpes simplex virus infections by in vitro studies through hairless mouse skin. This study demonstrates the value of penetration enhancing agent (Azone) and the need for a predictable evaluations in the development of topical antiviral agents.

It is discussed how to locate idle vehicles of AGVS considering dynamically changing situation. Several positioning methods are suggested including static positioning, dynamic positioning with time-independent pickup probabilities, dynamic positioning with time-dependent pickup probabilities, and dynamic positioning with a look-ahead capability. These positioning strategies are compared with each other by a simulation experiment.

In this paper, a case study is introduced on the development on a production planning system for the efficient control of work-in-process material flows. A special attention has been given to the prevention of the shortage of the automobile-components at the auto-assembly lines and the dynamic adaptation of the production plan to the continuously changing environment. The expertise of the production planner is analyzed and transformed into the logic of the software developed.

This paper deals with characteristics of magnet that the levitation and guidance forces at static state and we tested and evaluated its. Also we compared to effect of levitation force with material and shape of guide way, focus on evaluation and method of test for the magnet of Urban Transit Maglev vehicle.

The goal of automatic speech recognition is to study techniques and systems that enable agents such that computers and robots to accept speech input. However, this paper does not provide a concrete technology in speech recognition but propose a possible mathematical tools to be employed in that area. We introduce rough set theory and suggest the possibility of the rough set approach in phonetic distinctions.

An efficient and reliable method for the extraction of features is presented. The method utilizes by a state technique with Euclidean distance operator. The proposed method is compared with the Sobel Operator. Simulation results show that our method performs as well as the Sobel operator.

In this paper, the implementation of a voiced/unvoiced/silence discrimination system is presented. The algorithm is based on the zerocrossing rate and the spectral energy distribution of speech. In measuring zerocrossing rate, a new frequency-to-voltage conversion type interval filter is used. Expermental results show that with the proposed algorithm the effect of impulse noise in voiced intervals can be removed.

The degree of KAP study on oriental traditional medicine was examined with some korean from July 1st to August 30th in 1996. The result of the study for predicting health and ill patterns runs as fellows. 1) It is too weak to understand and adertise oriental traditional medicine doctors and the curable disease; moreover cured diseases rather preponderate. 2) Although most patients go to oriental traditional medical clinic for the purpose of medical herbs in package and acupuncture, they think the medical fee a high expensive. 3) The 77.9% of respondents recognize oriental traditional medical doctors as a profession and others think them only abundant workers; therefore it is rather low to think oriental traditional doctors a profession. 4) Most respondents ink that oriental traditional medicine should improved in the inside; such as the expensive fee, scientific reinforcement of theory, lack of univerality, improvement and enlargement of insurance, unkindness, shortage of publicity, dropped equipment, system of medical specialist, lack of integration with western medicine, exact diagnosis and confidence of remedy and low efficacy, etc. 5) The struggle against the government (1995-1996 about herbal prescription right by western pharmacy) has taken the change of affirmative recognition. 6) The degree that acknowleges of oriental traditional medicine through these basic contents is average 61.65 mark. To be brief, although the step of recognition and attitude of oriental me야cine is very affirmative aspect, actually considerable difficult factors is in the last chosen step.
