  • This paper presents a new algorithm for P-wave detection in the ECG signal, we get the peak, onset and offset point by using significant point extraction algorithm with 5-point derivative. To these set of extracted significant points, we apply amplitude and duration threshold criterion. we define the set of significant point meeting the criterion as P-wave candidate. Then P-wave candidate is classified through match-process with template. The template with maximum number or P-wave candidate is selected to be the P-wave.

  • A new three phase three-level Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Switched Voltage Source (SVS) inverter with zero neutral point potential is proposed. The major advantage is that the peak value of the phase output voltage is twice as high as that of the conventional neutral-point-clamped (NPC) PWM inverter. Furthermore, three-level waveforms of the proposed inverter can be achieved without switch voltage unbalance problem. Since the average neutral point potential of the proposed inverter is zero, the common ground between input stage and output stage is possible. The proposed inverter is verified by experimental results based on a laboratory prototype.

  • This paper presents a novel predictive digital control method for boundary conduction mode PFC converters without the need for detecting the inductor current. In the proposed method, the inductor current is predicted by analytical equations instead of being detected by a sensing-resistor. The predicted zero-crossing point of the inductor current is determined by the values of the input voltage, output voltage and predicted inductor current. Importantly, the prediction of zero-crossing point is achieved in just a single switching cycle. Therefore, the errors in predictive calculation caused by parameter variations can be compensated. The prediction of the zero-crossing point with the proposed method has been shown to have good accuracy. The proposed method also shows high stability towards variations in both the inductance and output power. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed predictive digital control method for PFC converters.

  • In this paper, we propose a fast interest point detection method using SURF algorithm. Since the SURF algorithm needs a great computations to detect the interest points and obtain the corresponding descriptors, it is not suitable for real-time based applications. In order to overcome this problem, the interest point detection step is parallelized by OpenMP and SIMD based on analysis of the scale space representation process and localization one in the step. The simulation results demonstrate that processing speed is enhanced about 55% by applying the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a method of ballistic missile launch point estimation using phase division least squares. The proposed algorithm employs smoothing to enhance estimation accuracy and generates functions of time for total velocity, flight path angle and heading angle, allowing extrapolation to estimate the launch point. Performance of the proposed algorithm is tested in conjunction with the extended Kalman filter and the Kalman filter.

  • This paper presents a method for estimating the bounding volume for image-based 3D object reconstruction. The bounding volume of an object is a three-dimensional space where the object is expected to exist, and the size of the bounding volume strongly affects the resolution of the reconstructed geometry. Therefore, the size of a bounding volume should be as small as possible while it encloses an actual object. To this end, the proposed method uses a set of silhouettes of an object and generates a point cloud using a point filter. A bounding volume is then determined as the minimum sphere that encloses the point cloud. The experimental results show that the proposed method generates a bounding volume that encloses an actual object as small as possible.

  • As well known, the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is an important role in photovoltaic (PV) power systems. MPPT finds and maintains the operation of PV at the maximum power point when the irradiation and cell-temperature change. In this paper, the studied system includes a PV array, a Buck-Boost DC/DC converter, a DC/AC inverter and it is connected to the three phase power system. The solar array operates as a non-linear voltage source. The P&O algorithm with power feed-back is used to control the operating point of PV array at the maximum power point. The effects of irradiation and cell-temperature on the dynamic responses are also considered.

  • In order to investigate the corrosion fatigue characteristics in the weld of multi-pass welded A 106 Gr B steel pipe, corrosion fatigue tests were performed under the various stress ratios and 3.5 wt% NaCl solution at room temperature. The corrosion fatigue characteristic curves were represented using crack closure concept. The obtained results are as follows : when the load frequency is 1.0 Hz, the crack opening point is transited in the region of $K_{max}$=20∼32 MPaㆍ $m^{1}$2/. In the low stress intensity factor range, the crack opening point is higher than that in air. However, in the high stress intensity factor range, it is lower than that in air. In the cases of 0.1 Hz and 0.01 Hz, the crack opening point gradually decreases to $K_{min}$ with $K_{max}$ increase.rease.
