The MICs of various macrolide, lincosamide and streptogramin B antibiotics against highly erythromycin-resistant Escherichia coli 209K strain were evaluated. E. coli 209K showed high MICs against 14-membered macrolides and the relatively weaker resistance to 16-membered macrolides, lincosamides and streptogramin B. The macrolide-phosphotransferase K from E. coli 209K showed greater substrate specificity to the 14-membered macrolide antibiotics than to the 16-membered macrolide antibiotics, lincosamide and streptogramin B. Therefore, it was considered that the high resistance was due to the macrolide-phosphotransferase K.

In this paper, we introduce a new class 𝓡^k_λ(λ ≥ 1, k is any positive real number) of univalent complex functions, which consists of functions f of the form f(z) = z + Σ^∞_n=2 a_nzⁿ (|z| < 1) satisfying the subordination condition $$(1-{\lambda}){\frac{f(z)}{z}}+{\lambda}f^{\prime}(z){\prec}{\frac{1+r^2_kz^2}{1-k{\tau}_kz-{\tau}^2_kz^2}},\;{\tau}_k={\frac{k-{\sqrt{k^2+4}}}{2}$$, and investigate the Fekete-Szegö problem for the coefficients of f ∈ 𝓡^k_λ which are connected with k-Fibonacci numbers $F_{k,n}={\frac{(k-{\tau}_k)^n-{\tau}^n_k}{\sqrt{k^2+4}}}$ (n ∈ ℕ ∪ {0}). We obtain sharp upper bound for the Fekete-Szegö functional |a₃-𝜇a²₂| when 𝜇 ∈ ℝ. We also generalize our result for 𝜇 ∈ ℂ.

In this paper, the master system of Wide Area Monitoring System in order to prevent reaching a fault influence toward power system is proposed. This system has three real time algorithms and a on-line one using i-piu transfer data and provides operators with various understandable monitoring viewers in HMI based on raw data and algorithm results.

In this study. the author proposes a nonhierarchical clustering method. called the "Double K-Means Clustering", which performs clustering of multivariate observations with the following algorithm: Step I: Carry out the ordinary K-means clmitering and obtain k temporary clusters with sizes $n_1$,... , $n_k$, centroids $c_$1,..., $c_k$ and pooled covariance matrix S. $\bullet$ Step II-I: Allocate the observation x, to the cluster F if it satisfies ..... where N is the total number of observations, for -i = 1, . ,N. $\bullet$ Step II-2: Update cluster sizes $n_1$,... , $n_k$, centroids $c_$1,..., $c_k$ and pooled covariance matrix S. $\bullet$ Step II-3: Repeat Steps II-I and II-2 until the change becomes negligible. The double K-means clustering is nearly "optimal" under the mixture of k multivariate normal distributions with the common covariance matrix. Also, it is nearly affine invariant, with the data-analytic implication that variable standardizations are not that required. The method is numerically demonstrated on Fisher's iris data.

Immunoblot analysis utilizing bovine sera from naturally or experimentally infected with Theileria sergenti were used to determine the immunodominant polypeptides of T sergenti (Korean isolated. The previously recognized major bands, 18 kDa,29 kDa, 34 kDa and 45 kDa, were excised after electrophoresis and transfer to PnF membrane. The individual bands were sequenced. The 34 kDa polypeptide which was the most antigenic and immunogenic peptide was observed in the Western blot. However, Chou-Fasman prediction sites (antigenic site) for antigen determinants of the 45 kDa, 34 kDa, 29 kDa and 18 kDa polypeptide were 6, 4, 2 and 0, respectively. However, the 45 kDa polypetide showed no reaction with anti- T sergenti hyperimmune serum.

If G is any connected graph of order p; then the thorn graph $G_p^*$ with code ($n_1$, $n_2$, ${\cdots}$, $n_p$) is obtained by adding $n_i$ pendent vertices to each $i^{th}$ vertex of G. By treating the pendent edge of a thorn graph as $P_2$, $K_2$, $K_{1,1}$, $K_1{\circ}K_1$ or $P_1{\circ}K_1$, we generalize a thorn graph by replacing $P_2$ by $P_m$, $K_2$ by $K_m$, $K_{1,1}$ by $K_{m,n}$, $K_1{\circ}K_1$ by $K_m{\circ}K_1$ and $P_1{\circ}K_1$ by $P_m{\circ}K_1$ and their respective generalized thorn graphs are denoted by $G_P$, $G_K$, $G_B$, $G_{KK}$ and $G_{PK}$ respectively. Many chemical compounds can be treated as $G_P$, $G_K$, $G_B$, $G_{KK}$ and $G_{PK}$ of some graphs in graph theory. In this paper, we obtain the bounds of the wiener index for these generalization of thorn graphs.

This study was conducted to observe the effect of vitamin K on bone metabolism in postmenopausal women. Twenty-four healthy postmenopausal women recruited for this one-month, double-blind controlled study. Before and after daily administration of 1.0mg of phylloquinone the levels of serum vitamin K, osteocalcin, under-carboxylated osteocalcin, and urinary deoxy-phyidinoline were measured. The serum vitamin K concentration of Koran women as well as the average dietary intake of vitamin K was shown to be higher than the average levels of foreign women. However, no correlation between serum vitamin K concentration and vitamin K intake was found. Also, serum vitamin K concentration showed no special correlation with either bone mineral density or bone turnover markers in the study group. However, women with low serum vitamin K concentration(vitamin K-low group)had lower bone mineral density levels. After supplementation with 1.0mg/day of vitamin K, there were no changes in the levels of serum vitamin K, osteocalcin, ucOC, or u-DPD. Vitamin K supplementation did not seem to have any positive effects on bone metabolism through carboxylation. It can, however, be expected that vitamin K supplementation has a positive effect on bone metabolism in postmenopausal women with especially low serum vitamin K concentrations.

본 논문에서는 국내최초로 개발에 성공한 단일용량의120kW급 계통연계형 태양광발전용 PCS에 관한 내용을 설명하고 있다. 120kW급 계통연계형 태양광발전시스템은 22.9kV의 특고압 계통전원에 연계되도록 설계되었으며, 삼상 380V를 22.9kV로 승압 연계하는 2단 절연방식을 채택하였다. 120kW급 PCS는 상용주파수 변압기 절연방식으로 3상4선식 380v 60H2 출력을 가지고 있으며, PCS 내부에 120kVA급 변압기와 리액터를 포함하고 있다. 최대출력점추종(MPPT)제어 기법으로 P&O 알고리즘을 적용하였으며, 3상 IGBT 인버터를 DSP로 제어하였다. 본 논문에서는 120kW급 단일용량 PC를 개발함에 있어, 계통연계 시험, 유,무효 전류제어 시험, 단독운전 검출 및 방지시험, 출력전류의 THD 측정 등의 결과를 보이고 있다.

In the future, it is expected that a fault-current of 345kV power system is beyond 60kA and stability and reliability in transmission system will be more important. From these points of view, we needed a development of a circuit breaker having ability of breaking a large fault current, more than 60kA. This paper describe the specification and history of a development on 362kV 63kA 8000A GCB(Gas insulated Circuit Breaker) of which we completed a development. A development of this GCB will contribute to improve the technique to design and make GCB, and the stability and reliability of power system in our country.
