This paper discusses the surveying of a power transmission line using Real Time Kinematic(RTK) GPS technology. The use of RTK provides users with an accurate position at the moment in time. Application result of a 765kV transmission line surveying proved to be more accurate and efficient than using a traditional EDM (Electro-magnetic distance measurement) method. More, decrease in numbers of trees cut down which is a major cause of public discontents was achieved. Improvements in doing a surveying of a power transmission line using GPS is expected in the future.

This paper presented survey and analysis on short-term Emergency rating by considering facility-conditions of transmission lines in KEPCO, such as the age of ACSR conductors, a place of sleeve connecting, and road clearance, etc.

가로등은 공공 부문 전력 사용량 중 절대적인 비중을 차지하지만 불필요한 전력 소모로 인한 낭비요인이 적지 않았다. 통상적으로 가로등은 조금만 어두워도 안전사고 우려가 높아 법적 기준보다 10~20% 정도 밝게 설계되고 있는 실정이다. 그래서 도로조명의 가로등은 에너지절약을 위하여 격등방식으로 사용하고 있으나 등주사이의 조도분포가 균일하지 않아, 조도가 낮은 곳에서 운전자가 불안감을 느끼고 피로가 증가하여 사고로 이어지며, 조도조절이 불가능해 차량 이동이 적은 새벽 시간까지 밝게 유지해야 하는 비효율이 발생, 불필요한 전력소모로 이어지는 등의 문제점에 대해서 본 고에서는 가로등에 디밍제어 시스템을 구현하여 안정적인 조도 유지하고 에너지 절감효과를 증가시킬 수 있는 방안에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

42년간 장기사용해온 소양강 수력은 옥외 철구형 송변전 설비 노후화로 설비의 안정성과 신뢰성이 저하되었고 관련설비의 국내 제품생산 중단으로 사고발생 시 장기간의 발전정지가 우려됨에 따라 조속한 시설대체가 요구되었다. 본 논문은 소양강수력발전을 사례로 수력발전소의 전력공급 신뢰도를 확보하는 옥외변전설비 현대화사업의 주요 공정에 대하여 분석한다. 변압기 및 GIS 제조구매 설치, 154kV 송전용 철탑공사, 모선보호반 설치공사를 세가지 주요공정으로 구분하고, 각 공정별로 현장여건, 필요설비, 공정상의 이슈 해결 등 시공과 관련한 제반 사례 연구결과를 기술, 공유하고자 한다.

Let L_K denote the hypothetical automorphic Langlands group of a number field K. In our recent study, we briefly introduced a certain unconditional non-commutative topological group ${\mathfrak{W}}{\mathfrak{A}}{\frac{\varphi}{K}}$, called the Weil-Arthur idèle group of K, which, assuming the existence of L_K, comes equipped with a natural topological group homomorphism $NR{\frac{\varphi}{K}^{Langlands}}$ : ${\mathfrak{W}}{\mathfrak{A}}{\frac{\varphi}{K}}$ → L_K that we called the "Langlands form" of the global nonabelian norm-residue symbol of K. In this work, we present a detailed construction of ${\mathfrak{W}}{\mathfrak{A}}{\frac{\varphi}{K}}$ and $NR{\frac{\varphi}{K}^{Langlands}}$ : ${\mathfrak{W}}{\mathfrak{A}}{\frac{\varphi}{K}}$ → L_K, and discuss their basic properties.

For an abelian extension K of ${\mathbb{Q}}$, let $C_W(K)$ be the group of Washington units of K, and $C_S(K)$ the group of Sinnott units of K. A lot of results about $C_S(K)$ have been found while very few is known about $C_W(K)$. This is mainly because elements in $C_S(K)$ are more explicitly defined than those in $C_W(K)$. The aim of this paper is to find a basis of $C_W(K)$ and use it to compare $C_W(K)$ and $C_S(K)$ when K is a subfield of ${\mathbb{Q}}({\zeta}_{p^e})$, where p is a prime.

This paper is for studying the feasibility of SFCL application for the interconnection operation of 154kV power systems under 345kV S/S in Korean power system. All Korean 154kV power systems are constructed as loop systems in downtown. However, the present 154kV systems are operated with separated systems around 345kV S/S because of fault current and overload problems. In this study, we investigate the structure and operation of 154kV power system in Seoul and study the feasibility of interconnection operation of 154kV systems under 345kV systmes by applying SFCLs to 154kV bus-tie.
