Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the self-esteem and job-seeking efficacy of dental hygiene students in an attempt to provide some information on career guidance, counseling and the development of employment programs by colleges, as self-esteem seemed to be one of integral variables to affect job-seeking efficacy. Methods : The subjects in this study were the dental hygiene students in three different colleges in South and North Jeolla Provinces. After a self-administered survey was conducted, the answer sheets from 562 respondents were analyzed by the SPSS(Statistical Package for the Social Science) WIN 12.0. Results : 1. The students investigated got a mean of 2.43 in self-esteem, which was not a high score. The sophomores had a better self-esteem than the freshmen and juniors, and the gaps among the respondents in each subfactor of self-esteem were significant($p^*$ <0.01, $p^{**}$ <0.05). 2. The students got a mean of 3.12 in overall job-seeking efficacy, and there were significant differences among them in each subfactor of job-seeking efficacy($p^*$ <0.01). 3. The freshmen were ahead of the sophomores and juniors in job-seeking efficacy, and the gaps between the former and the latter were significant($p^*$ <0.01). 4. There was a significant relationship between the self-perceived self-esteem and job-seeking efficacy of the students. A higher self-esteem led to a better job-seeking efficacy(p<0.01). Conclusions : The above-mentioned findings illustrated that a higher self-esteem had a more positive effect on job-seeking efficacy. Therefore the development of programs geared toward boosting the self-esteem of dental hygiene students is required, and educational institutions should provide quality self-esteem programs for students to plan and prepare for their future, to make the right career choice, to improve their vocational adjustment, to keep pursuing self-development and to build the right values.
This study investigates the effect of parental attachment on job seeking stress among the university students and junior college students. We explore the mediating effects of self-efficacy and career maturity on the relations between parental attachment and job seeking stress. We selected 292 university students and 285 junior college students as participants from Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do. All participants completed surveys on the measurement of parental attachment, self-efficacy, career maturity, and job seeking stress. Collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, structural equational models, and Sobel test with SPSS software ver. 18.0 and Amos software ver. 18.0. The major findings are as follow. First, parental attachment had no significant effect on job seeking stress. Second, self-efficacy and career maturity mediated between parental attachment and job seeking stress. In addition, there were significant differences between university students and junior college students regarding the relation between parental attachment and job seeking stress. Junior college student's career maturity had a greater influence than that of the university students. The findings of this study suggest that intervention to address self-efficacy and career maturity are important to resolve college students' job seeking stress; in addition, school type should be considered to understand job seeking stress.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of social support, career decision-making self-efficacy, and Job-Seeking Stress of nursing students, and identify influencing factors of Job-Seeking Stress. A convenience sample of 228 nursing students was conducted from in three departments of nursing. Data were analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS 21.0 program. The higher the social support and career decision self-efficacy, the lower the Job-Seeking Stress. The factors influencing Job-Seeking Stress were social support, first hope career, job readiness, career decision-making self-efficacy, and the explanatory power of these variables for Job-Seeking Stress was 19%. Therefore, in order to prevent, cope with, and mitigate the Job-Seeking Stress of nursing students, it is necessary to develop and apply differentiated Career education programs to increase social support and career decision-making self-efficacy.

This study analyzed the efficiency of a program designed for enforcing the job-seeking ability to overcome the career-barriers as well as the effect of the job-seeking efficacy toward the job-maintaining willingness of the disabled. For this research, the job-seeking ability enforcement program, which was started by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, was executed towards the 86 disabled by 7 sessions, which has been operated 6 hours a day for 4 days per week from December in 2012 to November in 2013. The survey for the study was taken twice with the same questionnaire toward the same object; one was a pre-survey that has been done before operating the program and the other was a pro-survey that was done after operating the program. The data was analyzed to obtain the 4 variables of job-seeking efficacy to overcome the career-barriers, which were self-efficacy, job-seeking skill, interpersonal relationship skill and job-information exploration and the 5th variable, job-maintaining willingness. The study findings were as follows. Firstly, the program efficiency was significant in interpersonal relationship skill and job-information exploration, while not significant in self-efficacy and job-seeking skill. Secondly, the self-efficacy and interpersonal relationship skill among the job-seeking efficacy to overcome career-barriers positively affects the job-maintaining willingness.
This study examined the relationships among ego resilience, career decision-making self-efficacy and job-seeking stress of senior nursing students. Data was collected through self-reporting questionnaire to 175 nursing students 3rd and 4th grade. Stepwise multiple regression revealed grade, career decision-making self-efficacy, satisfaction on university life to be significant predictors of job-seeking stress. These variables accounted for 13.5% of job-seeking stress. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the job-seeking stress of senior nursing students through multidisciplinary intervention which strengthens career decision-making self-efficacy considering grade, satisfaction on university life.
This is descriptive research aimed at determining the relations with appearance satisfaction and self-efficacy in controlling job-seeking stress and at providing basic data necessary to decide on an education direction for better career maturity and explore psychological resources. For data collection, convenience sampling was performed among dental hygiene students consenting to participate in the research in Chungcheong and Jeolla Provinces to complete a self-administered questionnaire from November 25 to December 13, 2019. Appearance satisfaction was positively correlated with self-efficacy and was negatively correlated with job-seeking stress; self-efficacy was negatively correlated with job-seeking stress. The factors affecting job-seeking stress were self-efficacy, appearance satisfaction, and major satisfaction. It would be necessary to develop a practical counseling program targeting the combination of positive appearance acceptance and improvement in self-efficacy on the basis of correct aesthetic values with the objective of reinforcing job-seeking competence intensively among dental hygiene majors.

This study examined whether career decision-making self-efficacy, self-resilience, and career maturity in university students affects the job seeking stress. In particular, this study focused on whether career maturity has a mediating effect among career decision-making self-efficacy, self-resilience and job seeking stress. University students have approximately three points in career maturity - the mid-point of a five-point scale, and career decision-making self-efficacy was proved as a variable affecting the career maturity. In addition, self-resilience has no significant effect on career maturity, and a study of the relationship between the career decision-making self-efficacy and job seeking stress revealed a low correlation. In career decision-making self-efficacy affecting job seeking stress, the career decision-making self-efficacy itself has an effect on the job seeking stress but job seeking stress can improve the career maturity. This study, which is related to career maturity, is different from previous studies dealing with only a single dimension for the direct influence.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to clarify the mediating effect of the basic occupational ability in relation to the career barrier and job-seeking efficacy of dental technology students. It aims to provide the basic data for NCS-based education and career guidance. Methods: The subject of the questionnaire survey was dental technology students. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. For reliable verification, a significance level of ${\alpha}=.05$ was used and reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed. Results: The results of the analysis showed that the basic occupational ability had a mediating effect in relation to career barriers and job-seeking efficacy. It was found that the basic occupational ability had a mediating effect in the relationship between job-seeking efficiently and other variables such as difficulty in an interpersonal relationship, lack of self-clarification, conflict with others in important positions, lack of job information, and lack of interest. Conclusion : The results of this study confirmed the importance of the basic occupational ability in improving job-seeking goals, job motivation, job search strength, job skills, and other related areas. If it appears difficult to overcome career barriers such as interpersonal difficulty, lack of self-clarification, conflict with other important people, lack of job information, and lack of interest, then the improvement of the basic occupational ability can be expected to enhance the job-seeking efficiency.
The present study examines the the role of subjectively perceived factors of the attitude toward job-seeking activities in forming an intention to use a web. An integrative research model is presented and tested empirically. It includes the following two aspects of belief in Davis' TAM: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use. Specially, internet job-seeking efficacy, or the belief in one's capabilities to organize and execute courses of Internet actions required to achieve given goals, is a potentially important factor in efforts to gain more favorable attitude toward Internet uses. Survey data were collected to develop a reliable operational measure of Internet job-seeking efficacy and to examine its construct validity. An four-item Internet job-seeking efficacy scale developed for the present study was found to be reliable and internally consistent. Also, many previous studies have established that perceived usefulness is an important factor influencing user acceptance and usage behavior of information technologies. However, very little research has been conducted to understand how that perception forms and changes over time. The current work presents and tests the determinants of perceived usefulness. The present study found that higher internet job-seeking efficacy is an important concept which is significantly related to job-seeking activities by positively influencing intention and performance as well as usefulness on the Internet.
