  • In recent years, many firms have built a good recruitment policy, focusing on the requirements set for candidates to meet the employers' satisfaction; they often have certain requirements for each accounting job's position. The study aims to identify and measure factors affecting the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi, the important locus of firms' labor force. We conducted a questionnaire consisting of 16 observation variables with a 5-point Likert scale. Independent variables were measured from 1 "without effect" to 5 "strongly". Based on the literature review and results of interviews, a total of 150 questionnaires were sent to participants; 135 of them met the standards and were subject to be analyzed. The results of Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) identify three main determinants influencing the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi, including students' experience before graduating (SEG), reputation of universities (RU), and university's recruitment support policy (RSP). Based on the findings, some recommendations have been proposed to help universities design training programs for creating better satisfactions for employers in the future. On this basis, the authors propose a number of recommendations to improve the employers' satisfaction with accounting graduates in Hanoi.

  • This study examined the various functions of public libraries, as well as user satisfaction and needs. We targeted 6 public libraries in the Seoul and Gyunggi area. After 280 library users were surveyed, the collected data were analyzed with an SPSS for Win 14.0 statistics program, where we used frequency, percentage, mean, T-test, One-way ANOVA, and Duncan's test. The major findings were as follows: 1) Half of the users used educational functional space, mainly in the 10-20 age group, who used it for educational purposes as a student or to prepare for getting a job. 2) There were gaps between the furniture arrangement and user preference since most libraries used a rigid system while users preferred a more flexible arrangement. 3) Space by space, public library satisfaction levels differed according to the users' gender and age. Satisfaction of the digital information room scored high, especially for users in their forties. Since public library users are diverse and require various functions, library interiors should be planned accordingly in terms of furniture arrangement and interior design. In particular, there was a gap between satisfaction by age groups, so libraries must account for community needs by considering the age group demographics of their surrounding areas.

Results: The mean scores for burnout, secondary traumatic stress, and compassion satisfaction were 21.67±6.03, 20.54±8.21, and 39.72±8.12 out of 50, respectively. The significant factors that influenced burnout and secondary traumatic stress were 'higher passive stress copying styles' (B=0.17, p<.001; B=0.31, p=<.001, respectively) and 'lower social support (B=-0.11, p=.031; B=-0.10, p=.001, respectively). The compassion satisfaction was more significantly associated with 'higher self-efficacy' (B=0.37, p=<.001), 'higher active stress copying styles' (B=0.19, p=.006), and 'education responding to disasters' (B=2.04, p=.029). • The present study aims to examine the mediating role of life satisfaction in the relationship between productive activities and future time perspective in later life. Drawn from the 7th wave of the Korea Longitudinal Study of Aging, our sample consists of a total of 6,756 older adults aged 55 and over. Complex samples analyses were conducted the relationship between productive activities, life satisfaction and future time perspective measured in two dimensions (i. e., life expectancy and job expectation). Results from complex samples analysis showed that productive activities were associated with life satisfaction and future time perspective. Employed older adults including unpaid family workers tended to have higher levels of life satisfaction and future time perspective (i.e., life expectancy and job expectation) than their counterparts. The relationship between productive activities and future time perspective was mediated by life satisfaction. Findings suggest that engaging in productive activities influences better satisfaction with life among older adults, which is eventually linked to an expansive view of the future. Policy implications were discussed that promoting productive activities in later life and age-friendly working environment should be encouraged.
