  • Objectives: The aims of this study were to analyze the job stress of clinical hygienists according to their positional system and to confirm its relevance. Methods: Seven hundred seventy six clinical dental hygienists participated in this survey. The questionnaire items consisted of general characteristics, working environment, and job stress. The data analysis was performed using IBM SPSS statistics ver.23.0 software. Results: Among the job stresses, the stress on the job demands was the highest with 63.4 points, and the stress on interpersonal conflict was the lowest with 34.6 points. The total score of job stress was the highest in the 26-30 year-old age group, and major stress factors in this group were job insecurity, organizational system, and lack of reward. Team members were more stressful about insufficient job control, organizational system, and lack of reward than team managers, while team managers were more likely to score interpersonal conflict. The dental hygienists in the hospitals that did not have the positional system got more stressed in the insufficient job control, organizational system, and lack of reward area. Conclusions: The presence of positional system was related to job demand, insufficient job control, organizational system, and lack of reward. Structural efforts such as establishing a proper positional system in dental clinics will be needed to control job stress in the clinical dental hygienists.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the job satisfaction of the korean medical clinic workers, and understand the factors that affect the satisfaction thereby increasing the efficiency of human resource management and providing the basic data to establish the management strategy. We visited 50 korean medical clinics which were chosen randomly from the korean medical clinics in the city of Changwon, Gyungnam. First, we explained the purpose of the study and survey contents to the surveyees, then distributed the Questionnaire and collected them. The data analysis was done statistically using the SPSS WIN IBM 20.0 program. The results were as follows: Professional career, interpersonal relationship, work autonomy, and overall job satisfaction showed significant differences depending on ages. While satisfaction of interpersonal relationship showed significant difference depending on final education. Depending on marriage status, while married persons showed significantly high satisfaction on professional career, interpersonal relationship, work autonomy, administration, and overall job satisfaction, there is no significant difference on income satisfaction. The number of years worked in the current clinic showed significant difference on administration satisfaction. Also, daytime working hours showed significant difference on administration and overall job satisfaction. The work area showed significant difference on overall job satisfaction. The income level showed significant differences on professional career, administration, and overall job satisfaction. From this study, it was confirmed that demographic characteristics and work environment factors showed significant differences on overall job satisfaction of workers in korean medical clinics. Therefore, in order to facilitate efficient manpower utilization and organization efficiency maximization, and motivation of human resources, a detailed plan should be developed to improve working environment and take demographic characteristics into consideration.

  • As several users use a system simultaneously, a job management system is used to prevent exclusive uses in the system by a certain user and share entire resources for all users. The job management system is a type of scheduler that distributes limited resources for each job inquire efficiently. The system can be classified as different types and is to be properly selected according to the characteristics of systems and jobs. An NEC system is a job management system and usually applies NQS. The job management system has several queues, which are able to process jobs through distributed resources in which the efficiency of such job processing can be varied according to the composition of these queues. This study designs and configures differentiated queues according to service levels in order to improve the efficiency of the entire system as NQS is designed and that performs job processing. Also, this study analyze the performance of the job processing.

  • Various computational resources in distributed environment are to build a high-performance computing environments through virtualization technology. Recently, there is a growing need for a complicated process due to the improvement of the user-level application, which has led to demand for high-performance computing. The requested job from users is composed of data. And because of each data has own characteristics, the classifier may consider the features of data. In this paper, we propose Job Classifying method based on Data Traits for Increased Efficiency of Computational Resources in Distributed Environment (JCDT). JCDT classifies the job by data traits of the users' request, is expected to improve the job processing time and increase the processing speed of the calculation resources.

The data for this study were collected through a survey, and a total of 197 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. The survey items were classified into 4 domains: demographic characteristics, emotional labor, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. This study extracted factors that compose each measurement domain to define the impact of emotional labor on job satisfaction or turnover intention. According to the research results, 3 factors - positive norm, sincere behavior, and emotional incongruity - were extracted for emotional labor. Individual aptitude satisfaction and work environment satisfaction were extracted as the factors for job satisfaction, whereas a single factor was extracted for turnover intention. By analyzing the effect of factors related to the emotional labor of beauty in dustry workers on factors related to job satisfaction, results showed that positive norm positively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction, sincere behavior positively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction and work environment satisfaction, and emotional incongruity negatively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction. Among factors related to emotional labor, positive norm and sincere behavior negatively affected turnover intention, whereas emotional incongruity positively influenced turnover intention. With regard to the effect of job satisfaction on the turnover intention of beauty industry workers, results showed that individual aptitude satisfaction and job environment satisfaction negatively (-) affected turnover intention. The results of this study show that people presenting a high level of individual aptitude satisfaction displayed positive job satisfaction, whereas people showing serious emotional incongruity for work presented high turnover intention. This implies that in order to increase the work efficiency of beauty businesses, it is essential to examine and manage the emotional labor of workers as a measure for increasing job satisfaction and lowering turnover.

  • Purpose: This study is conducted to evaluate the job stressors for dental technicians in Ulsan city. Methods: The Korean standard job stressors assessment tool developed by Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) was used to compare the survey result with Korean reference value. The questionnaire on the social, demographic and job characteristics of dental technicians was also used to find the factors affecting to job stressors by using multiple linear regression analysis. Results: A total of 155 questionnaire was collected from 2010 to 2011. Among the eight fields of stressors, the physical environment (men 50.0, women; 58.3) and job demands (men 57.1, women 57.1) were higher than the median value of the Korean Workers. By multiple linear regression analysis, the significant factors to the physical environment were the satisfaction degree of indoor odor, number of employee, duty and working hours. In terms of the job demand, duty, working hours, age, and the satisfaction to the efficiency of space utilization were significantly associated to the score of job demand. Conclusion: Based on these results, it is necessary to manage appropriate workload, control indoor odor and design an efficient work space for prevention of job stress of dental technicians.

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically analyze the effect that the job satisfaction of care workers would have on the organization commitment. For this study, 230 care workers were surveyed via mail who were working at the long-term recuperation institutes for the elderly located in the eastern part of Jeollanam-do. 141 sets of questionnaires were used for analysis, excluding those with missing data. The collected data were processed by using the SPSS 18.0 to conduct the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, t/F-test, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of analysis suggested the followings : First, the difference in organization commitment based on individual characteristics and job characteristics of care workers was found to exist, depending on the age related to individual characteristics and types of institutes and work types related to the job characteristics. Second, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to analyze the effect that the job satisfaction of care workers would have on organization commitment. With the individual characteristics and occupation environment variables of care workers being controlled, it was found that the job satisfaction of care workers had the greatest effect on organization commitment. This implies that the extent of job satisfaction determines the commitment level of care workers for the concerned job.
