Staff Motivation, Self-efficacy and Job Performance of Library Personnel in Public Libraries in Kwara State, Nigeria

  • A person's job performance is the result of their efforts, influenced by their skills, personality, and perceptions of their role. Job performance is the execution of statutory obligations or functions based on the area of expertise of library personnel that are directed toward achieving the library's goals. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of staff motivation and self-efficacy on the job performance of library personnel in Kwara State, Nigeria. The descriptive survey approach of correlational type was used in this investigation. To cover all the library personnel at the participating public libraries in Kwara State, Nigeria, total enumeration or census survey methodologies were used. Eight objectives are used to steer this investigation. The findings demonstrated a significant correlation between staff motivation and job performance, while self-efficacy and job performance have a significant negative relationship. The authors recommend that library personnel who receive training, particularly training focused on providing them with development chances, may perceive that the organization values them as individuals, which increases their sense of self-worth and, as a result, helps them create stronger job performance.

  • Performance-based course design on the job of receiving substation installations is presented to achieve a work based curriculum development. It includes a job analysis method called ISD(Instructional Systems Design & Development) and DACUM(Developing a Curriculum) which is designed to accept various requirements of industrial fields. It is provided with course profile, key contents, terminal learning objectives, intermediate learning objectives, instruction strategy, instruction sequence, case study, action learning and lesson plan.

The Study of Educational Program Development for Self-Marketing based on Job Analysis

  • Given the ability and skills required by modern people, marketing can be divided into knowledge-related skill such as marketing plans, market segmentation, and marketing mix management and supportive skill such as communication, inter-organizational management, creativity, and decision making. Knowledge related skills can be nurtured in existing marketing classes, but it is recognized that special educational programs such as self marketing are needed to develop and train supportive skills regardless of education levels or major education. This paper is aimed to design for marketing educational program for the self marketing. In this study, a DACUM method job analysis to extract contents by specialists such as model setting of task and job, job statement, job analysis, education course development, and so on. In the first place, this report presents job analysis model by procedures for developing selection criteria of examination questions of the self marketing qualification. The first step is preparation for job analysis, the second step: the establishment of job models, the third step : the job specification and task analysis, the fourth step: the review of job model, the fifth step: the establishment of subjects for examination matrix table for making questions.

호텔 직원의 경력개발이 개인직무적합성 및 직무만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effects of Employees' Career Development upon Person-Job Fit and Job Satisfaction in the Hotel Industry)

  • 본 연구에서는 특급 호텔 직원을 대상으로 경력개발이 개인직무적합성 및 직무만족도에 미치는 영향력을 고찰하였다. 총 353부의 표본을 가지고, 3개의 가설을 구조방정식 모형을 통하여 검증하였으며, 최종 모형의 적합도지수는 ${\chi}^2$=563.417 (p<.001), df=236, CMIN/DF=2.387, RMR=.070, GFI=.881, AGFI=.848, NFI=.921, CFI=.952, RMSEA=.065로 조사되었다. 가설 검증 결과, 호텔 직원의 경력개발 중 경력동질성(${\beta}$=.437), 경력 계획(${\beta}$=.284), 경력관리(${\beta}$=.138)는 직원의 개인직 무적합성에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, 직무만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 경력개발 요인으로는 경력관리(${\beta}$=.238)인 것으로 나타났다. 더불어 직원의 개인직무적합성(${\beta}$=.637)은 직무만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다.

보험심사 전문 간호사의 직무표준 개발 (The Development Job Standards for Advanced Health Insurance Review Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study is to develop job standards in order to propose proper job level of the advanced nurse practitioners and apply the results to the work and enhance the expertism. Method: This study is a methodical study. The validity was examined by using the content validity index(CVI). Result: The pre-items of job standards for advanced health insurance review nurses were established and the final job standards comprising of 12 standards, 46 criteria, 92 indicators, 418 activities were determined after the examination by the advisory group. The validity of the job standards were examined for two times by the seven professionals. The relevance of the modified job standards was examined by the working level employees above the assistant manager position working in the general hospitals and the result was 93.14% relevance. The job standards comprising of 12 standards, 46 criteria, 89 indicator and 409 activities were developed. Conclusions: By the development of the job standards, it is expected to prove that advanced health insurance review nurses are the most suitable professionals for dealing with medical affairs such as management and propriety evaluation of medical expenses while defining the roles of advanced health insurance review nurses.

섬유패션산업 종사자의 직무스트레스 요인, 직무스트레스 징후 및 직무성과 (Job Stressors, Job Stress Symptoms and Job Performance of Workers in Fashion Industry)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate job stressors, job stress symptoms, and job performance of workers in fashion industry. The data were obtained from questionnaire completed by 529 workers who were employed in textile or clothing manufactures located in Seoul, Daegu, Busan, and Masan area. The SPSS package was used for data analysis which included frequency, mean, correlation, and factor analysis. Job stressors consisted of environmental related stressors, job related stressors(task characteristics and role characteristics) and organization related stressors(organization climate and career development). Most of job stressors were significantly correlated with job stress symptoms but their correlation coefficients were low. Among job stressors, quantitative work overload was found to be a major stressor. Workers in fashion industry appeared to evaluate their job performance relatively good. Also, it was found that behavioral and psychological symptoms were negatively correlated with job performance.

국가직무능력표준(NCS)기반 평생교육에서 학습자의 직무능력개발이 직업기초능력 향상에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Learners' Job Competency Development on the Improvement of Their Vocational Key Competencies in Lifelong Education Based on National Competency Standards(NCS))

  • 본 연구는 국가직무능력표준기반 평생교육에서 학습자의 직무능력개발이 직업기초능력 향상에 미치는 영향력을 밝혀내는데 목적을 갖는 연구이다. 이를 위해 수리능력, 문제해결능력, 자원관리능력, 의사소통능력 4개 단위로 구분한 직업기초능력에 직무능력개발이 미치는 각각의 영향력을 검증하였으며 이 과정에서 평생교육 학습자들의 교육환경의 외부적 영향을 감안하기 위해 공분산분석을 실시하였다. 표본조사를 위해 서울에 소재중인 평생교육 기관의 학습자 480명을 대상으로 실증 조사하였고 이를 기반으로 통계 분석을 실시하였는데 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가설1의 검증결과 직무능력개발요인은 단일 차원에서는 수리능력에 모두 영향을 주지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 가설2의 검증 결과, 직무능력개발요인 중 교육체계(F=3.021, p<.05)와 교육과정(F=6.684, p<.05)은 단일 차원에서 수리능력에 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 가설3의 검증 결과, 직무능력개발요인 중 교육과정(F=5.865, p<.05)만 단일차원에서 자원관리에 유의한 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 가설 4의 검증 결과, 직무능력개발요인은 단일 차원에서는 의사소통에 모두 영향을 주지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 직무능력개발요인은 교수상호작용과 평생교육지원이 병행되는 과정에서, 교육체계와 교육과정이 조화되거나 혹은 교육체계, 교육과정, 평가관리 모두가 적절히 조화를 이루었을 때, 의사소통 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사한 것으로 평가 할 수 있다.

직무순환의 개인발전이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -업무효율성의 매개효과와 업무과부하의 조절효과를 중심으로- (A Study on the Effect of Individual Development of Job Rotation on Job Satisfaction - Focused on the Mediating Effect of Work Efficiency and the Moderating Effect of Work Overload -)

  • 직무순환은 사회복지시설의 종사자들이 여러 직무와 다양한 경험을 할수 있도록 하기 위해 일정기간마다 타 직무 또는 업무로 변경하여 근무할수 있도록 하는 제도로서 인사이동, 업무분장, 직무이동 등의 명칭으로 사용하고 있다. 본 연구는 직무순환의 개인발전이 업무효율성과 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하기 위해 전남 목포시에 소재중인 사회복지시설 종사자를 대상으로 2019년 5월 21일부터 5월 24일까지 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 독립변수로 직무순환의 개인발전, 종속변수로 직무만족도, 매개변수로는 업무효율성, 조절변수로는 업무과부하로 설정하였다. 모든 변수들의 문항은 Likert 5점 척도를 활용하였고, 가설을 검증하기 위해 실증 분석 도구로서SPSS 24.0 버전을 사용하였으며, 기술 통계, 신뢰도분석을 실행하였으며, SPSS PROCESS macro 4.0을 활용하여 매개효과, 조절효과 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무순환의 개인발전은 직무만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 업무효율성은 직무순환의 개인발전과 직무만족도 간의 관계를 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 업무효율성과 업무과부하의 상호작용항은 직무만족도에 부적 영향을 미쳐 조절된 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

초임 보건교사의 직무수행 어려움과 직무만족도에 대한 인식 (School Novice Health Teachers' Perception of Job Performance Difficulties and Job Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to determine the correlation between job performance difficulties and job satisfaction that novice health teachers experienced in a new school environment, and provide the basic data necessary for policy development. Methods: Data were collected from 196 novice health teachers without in-service training program for the qualification of 1st grade and with less than four years of work experience in Korea. The self-report questionnaire consisted of general characteristics, perception of difficulties in job performance, and job satisfaction. The data were analyzed using the x2 test, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: Novice health teachers had the most difficulty in health education during their job performance, whereas teachers without hospital clinical experience encountered difficulties in health management. Those with less than two years of teaching experience or no experience of being contract health teachers had higher job performance difficulties. The results revealed that the lack of experience in performance at a school site had a considerable influence on the difficulty in job performance. In terms of job satisfaction, novice health teachers had the highest satisfaction with status recognition and the lowest satisfaction with their tasks in charge. Additionally, as the difficulty in job performance increased, job satisfaction decreased. Conclusion: The study results indicated the need for training to provide novice health teachers with sufficient experience in job performance before being placed in a school. The provision of support to respond to difficulties in job performance will improve job satisfaction and contribute not only to the development of novice health teachers, but also to the improvement of the quality of school health.

구조방정식모델을 이용한 직무만족도 평가모형 개발 (Development of Job Satisfaction Measurement Model Using Structural Equation Model)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze various factors comprising a job satisfaction; determine possible factors that affects job satisfaction. Job satisfaction model is designed to evaluate major factors, such as job stress and strength, and to assess relationship between these factors. Partial least squares algorithm is used to develop a job satisfaction measurement model. To evaluate validity of developed model, survey data of health insurance review and assessment service is to applied.
