Laser Assisted Thermo-Compression Bonding (LATCB) has been proposed to improve the "chip tilt due to the difference in solder bump height" that occurs during the conventional semiconductor chip bonding process. The bonding module of the LATCB system has used a piezoelectric actuator to control the inclination of the compression jig on a micro scale, and the piezoelectric actuator has been directly coupled to the compression jig to minimize the assembly tolerance of the compression jig. However, this structure generates a lateral force in the piezoelectric actuator when the compression jig is tilted, and the stacked piezoelectric element vulnerable to the lateral force has a risk of failure. In this paper, the optimal design of the flexure hinge was performed to minimize the lateral force generated in the piezoelectric actuator when the compression jig is tilted by using the displacement difference of the piezoelectric actuator in the bonding module for LATCB. The design variables of the flexure hinge were defined as the hinge height, the minimum diameter, and the notch radius. And the effect of the change of each variable on the stress generated in the flexible hinge and the lateral force acting on the piezoelectric actuator was analyzed. Also, optimization was carried out using commercial structural analysis software. As a result, when the displacement difference between the piezoelectric actuators is the maximum (90um), the maximum stress generated in the flexible hinge is 11.5% of the elastic limit of the hinge material, and the lateral force acting on the piezoelectric actuator is less than 1N.

We have used diversely the multilayer ceramic oscillator of the SMD(Surface Mounted Device) package technology that connects the crystal with the chip package. Such an oscillator occurs a stray inductance and a parasitic capacitance by the length and inner pattern. And it has been happened an amplitude attenuation and signal loss due to the reflection of power source and noise component. So we don't evaluate the precise performance of the oscillator for these factors. In this paper we have developed the Jig system to evaluate the performance of the oscillator. Through this system, we will expect an advanced performance of the oscillator and redesign an oscillator of the low jitter characteristics and low phase noise.

Purpose: To compare of the accuracy among various measurement procedures of HDR Brachytherapy, and to evaluate the clinical suitability and usefulness of alternative PMMA (polymethylmethacrylateplastics: $C_5H_8O_2$) plate phantom without any additional cost due to the purchase of measuring apparatus. Materials and Methods: We made a comparative study on three types of measuring systems: well type chamber, source calibration jig, and PMMA plate phantom. Farmer type chamber was used for source calibration jig method and PMMA plate phantom method. Measurement was done 5 times each in comparison with the measurement values from manufacturer. Measurement results from experiment were compared with that from the manufacturer which is offered with the source whenever a source is substituted by a new one and evaluate the accuracy of source activity. Results: As a consequence of Ir-192 source measurement using well type chamber, source calibration jig and PMMA plate phantom, RMS (Root Mean Square) values for the relative error are 0.6%, 1.57%, 2.1%, respectively, compared with the data from manufacturer. And the mean errors with standard deviation are given $-0.2{\pm}0.5%$, $0.97{\pm}1.23%$, $-0.89{\pm}1.87%$ respectively. Conclusion: From the results shown by the three types of measurement system (well type chamber, source calibration jig, and PMMA plate phantom), the measurement with well type chamber produced the best accuracy. It turns out that we can also use the alternative system of PMMA plate phantom clinically without purchasing any additional particular apparatus since the system does not exceed the recommendation of AAPM (American Association of Physicists in Medicine), which requires the error range of within ${\pm}5%$.

This paper presents a method for automatic generating of check sheet to measure deep-drawn sheet metal. By using polyhedral model of CAD, the proposed procedure calculates measuring points automatically. The results of measure are exported to MS-Excel. The proposed method is implemented by API functions and C language using SPEED plus CAD/CAM system and MS-Window OLE.
Authors have developed highly reproducible calibration method for the Micro-Selectron HDR Ir-192 system (Nucletron, Motherland). The new jig has a 10cm radius circular hole in the $30cm{\times}30cm{\times}0.2cm$ acrylic plate, and 5F flexible bronchial tubes are attached around the hole. The source moves along the circle in the tubes and the ionization chamber is placed verticaly at the center of the circular hole (center of the jig). Dose distribution near the center was derived theoretically, and measured with the film dosimetry system. Theoretical calculation and measurement show the error margin below $0.1\%$ for 1mm or 2mm position deviation. We have measured at 12 and 24 points of circle with 1, 6, 11 and 21 second dwell time of source in order to calculate the activity of the source. Measurements have been repeated daily for 50 days. The accuracy and the reproducibility are below $1\%$ error margin. The half life of the source from our measurement is estimated $73.4\pm0.4$ days.
A hydraulic tensile test machine (HSTM) is one of the devices used to obtain the flow stress of a material during high-speed elongation. This paper first describes some features of a newly built HSTM. The improvement histories of the upper and lower jigs, which are the most vital parts of the HSTM, are also presented. We have frequently witnessed test failures with 1st generation jigs and specimens due to slip between the jig and specimen. 2nd generation jigs provide more stable test results, but the use of a longer upper jig induces excessive vibration and consequently makes it difficult to attach an environment chamber. 3rd generation jigs have some advances in terms of the symmetric fastening between the upper jig and specimen, as well as an exemption from direct contact between the lower jig and specimen. The performance of an environment chamber is verified by high and low temperature tests. A high-speed displacement measurement system is introduced based on a high-speed camera and motion-tracking software with aid of a surface grid device for the specimen.

The activity of Ir-192 sources for high dose rate (HDR) Brachytherapy in Korea were measured by using the well-type chamber and using the calibration Jig with the Farmer-type ionization chamber to compare the manufacturer certificated source strength which is supplied with each new Ir-192 source. The activity of two different source models used in six hospitals were measured. The range of measured activities to the manufacturer's suggested ones was -2.40% to +3.31% for the calibration Jig and -3.12% to 0.00% for the well-type chamber system. The source strength values given by the manufacturer for the 6 sources were within ${\pm}5%$ for the two different measuring equipment. Our results demonstrate that well-type chamber as wall as Farmer-type chamber system are appropriate system for the routine source calibration procedures in HDR brachytherapy. Whenever a new source is installed to use in clinics, a source calibration should be carried out.
The processes of manufacturing FRP sewage disposal tanks are very dangerous and hazardous jobs for workers because of large size and heavy weight of the tank, toxic fiberglass dust, nasty smell, and dangerous tools such as hand-grinders. This paper introduces an automatic manufacturing system of the FRP sewage disposal tank to enhance the safety of workers. The system consists of 3 components: the FRP body rotation jig, the automatic manhole cutting machine, the automatic sanding processing machine. The safety of workers and working environment are greatly improved, because the dangerous jobs are automatized and the toxic fiberglass dust is automatically collected. Also, the productivity is greatly improved and the cost is reduced.

Recently the applications of high speed machining are increasing due to the need for high performance and high accuracy machining and machining for difficult-to-cut material. However, the high speed machining also accompanies some problems: the product quality can be degraded due to the tool wear and the product cast can go up due to frequent tool replacements. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a technique of quantitative tool wear measurement to determine the precise timing for tool replacement. In this respect, this study suggests a reliable technique far the reduction of error components by developing a system using a CCD camera and an exclusive jig to be able to precisely measure the size of tool wear in flat end mill for high speed machining.

In general, a lot of small electrode is needed for making precision injection molds, such as cell phone mold and precision connector mold, because of the limitations of NC milling process. Those small electrodes usually have very simple shapes and the actual cutting time is so short, but many NC programs and set-up process, a very complicated and time consuming Job, are needed for each electrode. This paper deals the method for increasing the productivity of machining electrodes. In this work, the process standardization of machining electrode was done and special jig fer machining small electrodes was developed. Automatic tool path optimization software was also developed to minimize tool changing time. In addition, in-line cutting tool measuring system was adopted. The productivity of machining for small electrode has been increased up to $100\%$.
