Wide Flame 버너의 연소 특성 (Combustion Characteristics of Wide Flame Burner)

  • Flame pattern in burner used in steel industry that constitutes 30% of country energy consumption is generally characterized as long narrow flame pattern so that localized heating causes product quality worse and many burners are needed for proper heating. This paper deals with flat wide flame pattern which has advantage in terms of uniform heating using less number of burners. For that purpose, impinging jet system of fuel and oxidant was used for making flat wide flame. Results show that nozzle angle $75^{\circ}$ of impinging jet is found to be optimum configuration for making effective wide flame which has uniform radiation heat transfer and flame temperature is also most uniform along the flame width for that nozzle angle.

  • This thesis investigates the jetting characteristics of an aerosol jet printing (AJP) process as a function of design and operating conditions. The governing equations of the AJP system are derived for experimentation and analysis. To understand the characteristics of the AJP system, it analyzes the jetting characteristics as a function of the flow rate of the carrier gas and the sheath gas, and the variation of the linewidth with the nozzle exit size based on particle tracking. The thesis focuses on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), which is a computer simulation. The particle tracking results obtained by CFD were analyzed using MATLAB. CFD analytical models can be analyzed in environments with different conditions and consider more specific situations than mathematical computational models. The validity of the CFD analysis is shown by comparing the experimental results with the CFD analysis.

  • This paper investigates the jetting characteristics of an aerosol jet printing (AJP) process as a function of design and operating conditions.   • This paper proposes an approach to attitude control artificial satellites with jet-engine. The jet-engine produces on-off thrust, which can be modelled as pulse-width-modulated (PWM) function. Therefore, the problem is converted to design a PWM controller and we develop an efficient technique for this purpose using digital redesign. The digital redesign is a converting technique a well-designed analog controller into the equivalent digital one maintaining the property of the original analog control system in the sense of state-matching. The redesigned digital controller is again converted into PWM controller using the equivalent area principle. We show a computer simulation of the attitude control of artificial satellites.

예혼합 화염이 벽면에 충돌시 열전달 및 연소특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Study for Heat Transfer and Combustion Characteristics of Gaseous Impinging Jet Premixed Flame)

  • In the present study, the structure and the characteristics of gaseous premixed flame impinging normal to the flat plate have been investigated experimentally. For the examination of the heat transfer and combustion characteristics, measurements of temperature, direct and schlieren photography were performed. The results of present study show that the length of inner flame becomes smaller as distance from nozzle exit to plate decrease. The width of flame becomes larger as air-fuel ratio decreases. The smaller Reynolds number at nozzle exit and the smaller distance from nozzle exit to plate lead to the higher heat transfer rate in the region of center of plate. As the air-fuel ratio decreases, the heat transfer at plate with moderate rate occurs on wide region.

  • Measurements of flame length, width and NOx emissions have been conducted to investigate the effect of an acoustic excitation on flame structure in turbulent hydrogen diffusion flames with coaxial air. The resonance frequency of oscillations was varied between 259 ,514 and 728 Hz with power rate of 0.405 and 2.88w. When these frequencies imposed to hydrogen flames, dramatic reduction of flame length and NOx emission was achieved. And acetone planar laser-induced fluorescence technique was used to measure a concentration of the near field of driven axisymmetric jet. The air-fuel stoichiometric line was plotted to investigate the mixing layer and development of air entrainment to fuel jet. Consequently, acoustic excitation on flame could enhance the air-fuel mixing resulting in abatement of NOx emission quantitatively.

  • In the present study, the air jet flow characteristics of the dryer in the automatic car wash machine were numerically predicted by commercial CFD code. The effects of the dryer shape and the nozzle width variations on the performance of the automatic car wash machine were discussed. To optimize the geometric parameters, the response surface method(RSM) with CFD was used. Predicted jet velocity distributions for the optimized geometry were compared with experimental data and the comparisons show generally good agreements. Also, the performance of the dryer was improved with the optimized results.

  • SU-8 can be implemented as a mask for micro Abrasive Jet Machining (micro-AJM) process [1]. In this paper, we will evaluate the quality of micro grooving result on glass substrate by micro-AJM process which using SU-8 as a mask. It was evaluated on width and edge profile of the micro grooving. The result was having distortion compare with the master film used to pattern the SU-8 mask. The value of distortion with other properties which came along with it, such as depth and surface roughness, can be optimized in order to fabricate micro-channel for micro-fluidic application.

흐름 수역(水域)에서 연직상향부력(鉛直上向浮力)? (Vertical Buoyant Jet in Tidal Water -Crossflowing Environment-)

  • 흐름수역(水域)에서 연직상향으로 방류되는 평면부력(平面浮力)?의 거동이 연속방정식(連續方程式), 운동량방정식(運動量方程式) 및 추적물수송식(追跡物輸送式)의 기본방정식을 수치적(數値的)으로 풀음으로서 해석(解析)된다. 난류확산(亂流擴散)에는 Prandtl의 혼합거리이론(混合距離理論)을 도입한 난류수송모형(亂流輸送模型)이 이용된다. 수치해과정(數値解過程)은 기본방정식을 유함수(流凾數)(stream function)식(式)과 골도수송(滑度輸送)(vorticity transport)식을(式) 이용하여 변환(變換)한 후, ?방류속도(放流速度), ?방류구폭(放流口幅) 등(等)으로 표현되는 변수(變數)와 흐름을 지배(支配)하는 무차원매개변수(無次元媒介變數)를 도입하여 무차원화(無次元化)하고 successive under-relaxation을 이용하여 Gauss-Seidal 반복법(反復法)으로 해를(解) 구(求)하는 것이다. 수치실험(數値實驗)은 방류(放流)Froude수(數)가 4~32, 방류속도(放流速度)와 가로흐름속도와의 비로(比) 정의되는 속도비가 8~15 의 범위의 흐름영역(領域)에서 수행되었다. 부력(浮力)?으로 인한 주변(周邊)흐름수역(水域)의 속도변화(速度變化), 온도상승(溫度上昇)범위, 흐름상태 및 골도(滑度)가 조사되었으며, ?의 경로에 대한 속도비와 방류밀도Froude 수의 영향이 또한 조사되었다. ?중심선의 속도, 온도변화, 국부밀도(局部密度)Froude 수(數)의 변화가 계산되며 퍼짐율(spreading rate)과 확산비(擴散比)(dispersion ratio)가 방류밀도(放流密度)Froude 수, 국부밀도(局部密度)Froude 수(數) 및 속도비(速度比)의 항(項)으로 해석되었다. 또한 속도와 온도분포를 상사(相似)(similarity)로 나타낼 수 있음이 밝혀졌으며, Gaussian 분포(分布)를 이용한 적분형해석(積分型解析)(integral type analysis)이 가능한 것으로 사료된다.

잉크젯 기법을 이용한 은 미세라인 형성 (Fabrication of Silver Micro Lines by Ink-Jet Method)

  • 입자크기가 수 nm인 고농도 은 나노 졸을 이용하여 잉크젯 기법으로 은 미세라인을 형성하고자 하였다. 고분자전해질을 사용하여 합성한 $10wt\%$ 농도의 은 나노 졸의 입자크기는 10nm 이하였으며, 은 나노 졸을 이용한 미세 라인의 인쇄특성은 은 나노 졸의 접촉각에 매우 깊은 관계를 갖고 있었다. 순수한 ITO 기판에서 은 나노 졸은 높은 접촉각을 나타내었으며, dot 형상이 나타났다. 그러나 100ppm의 Polyethylenimine(PEI)을 코팅한 ITO 기판은 젖음성이 크게 개선되었으며, 잉크젯 기법을 이용하여 $60\~100{\mu}m$의 선폭을 갖는 은 나노 졸의 미세라인 형성이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다.
