양식 생김의 양륙 작업 개선에 관한 연구 (A study on the improvement of loading and unloading work in laver aquaculture industry)

  • In this study, an automatic system for improving the working environment and increasing production efficiency of a laver aquaculture industry in Korea was developed by combining a hydraulic control system and a load cell in a current landing work of the laver. The improved gathering laver system allowed the automatic gathering process of the laver in the sea with the hydraulic control system connected to a cutting machine of the laver on the operating ship, which has been used for gathering the laver semi-automatically in a form of the traditional farming method. The transporting process of the laver from an operating ship to the land was improved as follows. A frame installed on the operating ship and the bag nets were designed and made to hold about 1,000 kg of the laver inside. The bag nets contain the laver on the improved operating ship were tied in knots and hooked on a crane using a load cell. The weight is measured immediately by lifting the bag nets through the load cell system. Weight information is communicated to the fishermen and successful bidders through the application. The advantages of the improved system can help fishermen to fish by improving their working environment and increasing production efficiency. The field survey to improve the landing operation of the laver aquaculture was conducted in Gangjin, Goheung, Shinan, Wando, Jindo, and Haenam in South Jeonnam Province. A total of 10 sites including Gunsan in Jeonbuk Province, Daebu Island in Ansan City, Jebu Island in Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province, and Seocheon in Chungnam Province were searched to collect data. Prototypes of the system were tested at the auction house of laver located in Goheung, where laver collection using hydraulic control and landing using road cell could be improved.

우리나라 노인인구의 지역간 이동 특성 - 16개 특.광역시도별 $2000{\sim}2006$년 비교를 중심으로 - (Migration patterns of old population in Korea)

  • Although the majority of elderly are residentially stable, many western studies have recently reported that there has been a gradual growth of retirement migration. However, little is known about that in Korea. Therefore, this study intended to examine the trend and nature of elderly migration. For this purpose, inter- and intra-province migration among the aged 65 and over were analyzed, using the migration data of the Korea National Statistical Office, compiled from the 2000 and 2006 resident registration records. The results were as follows. First, there was an increase of elderly migrants to 531 thousand persons in 2006 from 383 thousand persons in 2000. Secondly, the migration rate of elderly has steadily grown with a 11.7% in 2000 and 12% in 2006. Also, the move of female among old population was active but this trend tended to decrease in 2006. Thirdly, the number of provinces which showed a positive net inter-province migration of old population increased from 7 provinces in 2000 to 8 provinces in 2006. Fourthly, we found that the destinations of elderly migrants were mostly neighboring province except the Chungnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeju. These results suggested that elderly migration would be expected to increase gradually and be important in the future of Korea.

국내 주요 토마토 주산지에서 발생하는 가루이류 발생현황 (Occurrence Status of Whitefly Populations in Major Domestic Cultivation Areas of Tomatoes)

  • 2015년부터 2018년까지 시설하우스에서 토마토 재배기간인 11월부터 이듬해 5월까지 충남 논산, 부여, 전북 익산에서 가루이의 종류와 발생 현황을 조사하였다. 반면 5월부터 10월까지는 억제재배를 하는 전북 장수지역에서 조사를 수행하였다. 시기별로 가루이를 채집하여 동정한 결과 온실가루이(Trialeurodes vaporariorum)와 담배가루이(Bemisia tabaci)의 발생이 확인되었다. 주로 온실가루이와 담배가루이가 혼재되어 있는 경우가 많았으며 두 종 중 담배가루이의 발생이 높게 나타났다. 가루이의 발생은 3월 하순부터 증가하기 시작하여 5월에는 밀도가 급격하게 증가하였고 수확기가 끝나는 시점에서는 밀도가 가장 높았다. 따라서, 시설하우스에서 가루이의 효율적 방제를 위해서는 촉성재배는 3월 상순부터, 억제작형은 6월 상순부터 예찰하고 밀도가 증가하기 전에 초기 방제하여야 할 것이다.

증산사상(甑山思想) 형성에 미친 지역적 영향원(影響源)으로서의 농악·당산제에 관한 사례적 고찰 -정읍지역을 중심으로- (A Case Study on Nongak and Dangsanje as Regional Sources of Influence on the Formation of Jeungsan Thought: Focused on Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk-do Province)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정읍 출신 사상가 증산(甑山) 강일순(姜一淳, 1871~1909)의 사상 형성에 미친 정읍지역의 당산제 및 농악의 영향관계를 구체적인 자료들을 통해서 살펴보는 데에 있다. 그 결과, 본고는 다음과 같은 결론에 도달하게 되었다. 첫째, 어떤사상가의 사상은 그가 태어나 성장한 지역 문화의 영향을 받게 된다. 둘째, 강증산이 태어나 자라고 나중에 자신의 증산사상(甑山思想)을 이룩해 나아간 중심 지역은 정읍지역이다. 셋째, 정읍지역 마을굿 당산제에는 전통적으로 농악이 그 필수 요건으로 수반되고, 정읍의 농악은 마을굿으로서 당산제와 긴밀한 상호관계 속에서 공연되었다. 넷째, 증산이 본인의 생존 당시에 자신의 고향에서 볼 수 있었던 농악은, 바로 이와 같이 정읍지역의 마을굿인 당산제와 관련하여 공연되던 농악으로 파악된다. 다섯째, 증산은 어릴 때부터 마을굿 당산제와 농악과 무당굿의 긴밀한 상호관계를 체험적으로 파악하였을 것이라는 점을 관련 자료들을 통해 확인할 수 있다. 여섯째, 이러한 영향 양상은 실제로 그가 남긴 언행록에 구체적으로 반영되어 있다. 일곱째, 증산의 정읍에서의 농악/풍물굿 체험은 그의 사상이 처음으로 종교화된 보천교의 종교악을 농악의 재창조 형태로 구성하게 하였다. 여덟째, 이러한 농악의 보천교 종교악화 과정은 이후에 정읍농악 및 호남농악 전반에도 많은 영향을 미치게 되었다.

농촌과 도시지역 주민간 지역사회 친밀도 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Community Attachment between Rural and Urban Communities in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study were to compare the community attachment between rural and urban communities, and suggest directions for community development plans of rural and urban communities in Korea. The data for this study were collected from two communities(n=285), one from Gochang representing rural community, located in Jeonbuk province(n=142), and the other from Suwon city representing urban community located in Gyunggi province(n=143), utilizing questionnaire. The major finding of this study were as follows; 1) Community attachment was significantly higher in community than in urban community, and the linear development model was more appropriate to explain the results of the study. 2) Community attachment appeared to be significantly related to social bonds, community participation, social trust, community economical activities, and social and cultural environment. 3)In general, determinants such as number of acquaintances, price of cultural heritages of residence, trust for local government, good traffic environment, job satisfaction, etc. explained 55.5% in rural and urban communities.

지역별 지하수중 우라늄과 라돈의 함량 분포 특성 (Distribution Characteristics of Uranium and Radon Concentration in Groundwaters of Provinces in Korea)

  • In order to figure out the characteristics of radionuclides concentrations of nine provinces, we analyzed uranium and radon in 681 samples of groundwater. Most of uranium concentrations in each province were less than $10{\mu}g/L$, and Gyeongnam, Jeonnam, Jeju provinces did not have groundwaters exceeding the US EPA drinking water MCL ($30{\mu}g/L$) of uranium. The ratio of radon values exceeding US EPA drinking water AMCL (4,000 pCi/L) was 22.6% (154/681) and Gyeongnam and Jeju provinces had no groundwaters exceeding the AMCL (alternative maximum contaminant level). Uranium and radon concentrations in groundwaters of Gyeonggi, Chungbuk, Jeonbuk, Chungnam mainly composed of the Mesozoic granite and the Precambrian gneiss were relatively high, but the concentrations of Gyeongnam and Jeju widely comprised of the sedimentary rock and the volcanic rock were relatively low. A week correlation between uranium and radon values showed in Gangwon, Chungbuk, Gyeonggi provinces.

Detection and Distribution of Apple scar skin viroid-Korean Strain (ASSVd-K) from Apples Cultivated in Korea

  • Apple scar skin viroid (ASSVd) has been one of the most destructive diseases in Korean apple orchards. Symptoms of the scar skin viroid disease were detected in various apple cultivars, namely, Sansa, Fuji, Chukwang, Miki-Life, Hongro, and Songbongeum cultivated in the southern part of Korea. The RNA molecules were extracted from the apples bearing dapple apple symptoms with the application of CF-11 RNA extraction method. The purified RNAs were used for the synthesis of cDNA with RT-PCR. The PCR products were cloned and sequenced. The viroid RNA molecules from the six different cultivars bearing the dapple symptos showed the same nucleotide sequences as that of the Korean strain of ASSVd(ASSVd-K). ASSVd-K was detected from apple orchards in Kunwi, Sangju, Uiseong, Yeong-yang, Andong, and Youngduk in Gyeongbuk Province in 2001, and in Muju in Jeonbuk Province in 2002. As the viroid disease could be propagated vegetatively, it can be widely transmitted gradually in Korea.

벼에 대한 지역별 물 생산성 및 잠재 물 소비량 평가 (Assessment of Water Productivity & Potential Water Consumption of Rice by Each Province)

  • Agricultural water for crops are faced with the need to improve the use efficiency due to the impact of climate change. Water productivity (WP) is known as a good indicator for assessing resources efficiency. This study was conducted to assess WP of rice and potential water consumption (PWC) as new indicator for water use efficiency assessment. The average of WP was 0.7 kg/㎥, and Jeonbuk had the highest WP as 0.83 kg/㎥. Kangwon and Kyungbuk had the lowest WP as 0.59 kg/㎥. PWC showed the same trend because of rice consumption per capita, but Total PWC considering population living in each province showed the different trend with PWC. Every year, the changing patterns of WP was increasing little by little, and the patterns of PWC was decreasing greatly than WP. These results mean that WP has been slowly improved through breed development and irrigation techniques, and PWC was affected by reduced rice consumption and WP increasing. PWC could also be useful as an indicator to compare the water use efficiency between provinces or nations.

서해안 주요 고추 주산지에서 발생하는 총채벌레의 발생현황 (Monitoring Occurrence Status of Thrips Populations on Field-Cultivated Pepper at Major Cultivated Region in West Coast, Korea)

  • 2017년과 2018년 노지고추 재배기간인 6~8월 간 전북 고창, 충남 청양, 충북 괴산지역 노지 고추 포장에서 총채벌레의 종류와 발생현황을 조사하였다. 시기별로 총채벌레를 채집하여 동정한 결과 꽃노랑총채벌레 (Frankliniella occidentalis), 대만총채벌레(F. intonsa), 파총채벌레(Thrips tabaci)의 발생이 확인되었다. 이들 3종 중 대만총채벌레가 시기별로 가장 발생 밀도가 높은 것으로 보아 우점종으로 보여진다. 총채벌레의 발생은 6월 하순부터 증가하기 시작하여 7월 중순에 밀도가 가장 높았다. 따라서, 노지고추에서 총채벌레 방제전략은 6월 상순부터 모니터링하여 밀도증가 이전에 적절한 방제방법을 동원하여야 할 것이다.

Leaf Blight of Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) caused by Fusarium solani

  • Leaf blight of kudzu ( Pueraria lobata ) was found in Jeonbuk province in 2002. The main symptoms appeared as leaf blight and showed yellowing and wilting. The causal pathogen of the leaf blight was isolated from symptomed kudzu leaf and produced white to cream, usually floccose mycelium. It readily formed reddish orange mycelium on PDA. It produced typical microconidia and macroconidia. The microconidia were the reniform. The macroconidia were wide, slightly curved, usually 3 to 4 septate and size was 45 ∼ 85 ${\times}$ 5 ∼ l0$\mu\textrm{m}$. The pathogen produced chlamydospore singly on short hyphal branches within 2 to 3 weeks, which was hyaline, globose, and smooth walled. The pathogen was, therefore, identified as Fusarium solani based on cultural and morphological characters. This is the first report on the leaf blight of kudzu caused by Fusarium solani in Korea.
