  • Recently developed compilers perform some optimizations in order to speed up the execution time of source program. These optimizations require the reordering of the sequence of program statements. This reordering does not give any problems in a single-threaded program. However, the reordering gives some significant errors in a multi-threaded program. State-of-the-art model checkers such as JavaPathfinder do not consider the reordering resulted in the optimization step in a compiler since they just consider a single memory model. In this paper, we develop a new verification tool to verify Java source program based on Java Memory Model. And our tool is capable of handling the reordering in verifying Java programs. As a result, our tool finds an error in the test program which is not revealed with the traditional model checker JavaPathFinder.

  • Effective use of debugging in computer science education is a topic that has received little attention. Existing tools either are too overwhelming for the novice or are too basic and inflexible. Furthermore, the integration of the debugger into complex IDEs have unfamiliar debuggers from students, resulting in a harmful proliferation of console I/O. In this paper, a new stand-alone educational debugging tool is presented, with simple but powerful tools for easily observing and modifying program execution state. This tool is analyzed from an user perspective, and is compared with existing tools.

  • The Embedded Linux System has been developed as a system which can be used with a processor of low efficiency and small-sized memory. Unlike the usual Linux and Windows web server, it has some limitations in the install of application programs, compatibility and scalability when transferring data through web server in real-time. In this paper, we present a real-time remote monitoring system which is very useful to the embedded linux system. The presented system use Java Script without the additional programs at the Embedded Linux System web server and confirm the efficiency of the system through the existing real-time remote monitoring techniques.

  • In the integrated development environments for automatic generation of Java applets and applications tat can be used as Internet and Intranet-based client-server programs, it is essential to interconnect between the function components such as main window, project manager, object inspector, source code editor, and form designer. This paper describes the function components related with the generation of mobile code based client-server program. In then designs and implements a data structure, named 'JCode', for interconnection between the function components. Finally, it discusses the action principles of Two-Way Access technique based on JCode. By applying the proposed JCode based interconnection technique, user can program efficiently using the function components.

  • C programming is a main programming for the Educational Robot Arm which is based on AVR ATmega128. The development environment is not integrated, so it is complex and difficult to study for middle or high school students who want to learn programming and control the educational robot arm. Furthermore, there is no debug and testing environment support. This paper presents a Java-based development platform for the educational robot arm. This platform includes: an up-to-date tiny Java Virtual Machine (NanoVM) for the educational robot arm; An Eclipse based Java integrated development environment as an Eclipse plug-in; a 3D simulator on the PCs to support testing and debugging programs without real robots. The Java programming environment makes development for educational robot arm easier for students.

  • Recently, smart card system which is known as easy to portable and also safe from physical, electrical, and software attack is observed to manage information that becomes the target of security in safety. And java card graft upon java technology to smart card platform is having very good advantage with object-oriented techniques and also, java card have the open type OS that can show the same action in different hardware characteristic which allows various application programs. In this paper, we introduced independent execution characteristic of java platform because being set to each smart card was uncomfortable till now and we designed access control member card that allows several administrators in different access privilege by single card using java card. Several administrators can approach to various information of file type that is included on issued card to user by using different PIN. In the proposed method, confirmation of personal information, administration contents update, demand by contents, is possible by single card. At this moment, wish to do safer user certification that improve security limitation which is from PIN, used for user certification, and signature data. In the proposed method, as design and implementation of utilization technology of java card, biometrics, user certification which uses multi PIN, provide that more safety and conveniently.

  • JavaScript is widely used in web pages with HTML. Many JavaScript engines adopt Just-in-time compilers to accelerate the execution of JavaScript programs. Recently, many newly introduced devices are adopting 64-bit CPUs instead of 32-bit and Just-in-time compilers for 64-bit CPU are slowly being introduced in JavaScript engines. However, there are many inefficiencies in the currently available Just-in-time compilers for 64-bit devices. Especially, the size of code is significantly increased compared to 32-bit devices, mainly due to 64-bit wide addresses in 64-bit devices. In this paper, we are going to address the inefficiencies introduced by 64-bit wide addresses and values in the Just-in-time compiler for the V8 JavaScript engine and propose more efficient ways of generating constant values and addresses to reduce the size of code. We implemented the proposed optimization in the V8 JavaScript engine and measured the size of code as well as performance improvements with Octane and SunSpider benchmarks. We observed a 3.6% performance gain and 0.7% code size reduction in Octane and a 0.32% performance gain and 2.8% code size reduction in SunSpider.

  • Control flow graph is used for Performing many Program-analysis techniques, such as data-flow and control-dependence analysis, and software-engineering techniques, such as program slicing and testings. For these analyses to be safe and useful, the CFG should incorporate the exception flows that are induced by exceptions. In previous research to construct control flow graph, normal flows and exception flows are computed at the same time, since these two flows are known to be mutually dependent. By investigating realistic Java programs, we found that the cases when these two flows are mutually dependent rarely happen. So, we can decouple exception flow analysis from normal flow analysis. In this paper we propose an analysis that estimates exception flows. We also propose exception flow graph to represent exception flows. And we show that the control flow graph that accounts for exception flows can be constructed by merging exception flow graph onto normal control flow graph.

  • In spite of the size and complexity of software becomes large and complicated, the demand of rapid development, cost reduction, good productivity and good quality software is increasing in these days. Many methods were proposed for efficient software development such as various Case tools. Metrics, Process improvement model (CMM, SPICE, ISO9000) and etc. However, most of them we useful to manage the whole projects rather than an individual programming. In this paper, we introduced a system for quality assessment and complexity metrics for Java programs to assess the individual programmer's quality rather than team's quality. This system shows not only the metrics value for quality assessment but also the source code and the soucture of classes simultaneously.
