Objectives: The study is aimed at examining the individual reasons and regional/environmental factors of online search on suicide using social big data to predict practical behaviors related to suicide and to develop an online suicide prevention system on the governmental level. Methods: The study was conducted using suicide-related social big data collected from online news sites, blogs, caf$\acute{e}$s, social network services and message boards between January 1 and December 31, 2011 (321,506 buzzes from users assumed as adults and 67,742 buzzes from those assumed as teenagers). Technical analysis and development of the suicide search prediction model were done using SPSS 20.0, and the structural model, nd multi-group analysis was made using AMOS 20.0. Also, HLM 7.0 was applied for the multilevel model analysis of the determinants of search on suicide by teenagers. Results: A summary of the results of multivariate analysis is as follows. First, search on suicide by adults appeared to increase on days when there were higher number of suicide incidents, higher number of search on drinking, higher divorce rate, lower birth rate and higher average humidity. Second, search on suicide by teenagers rose on days when there were higher number of teenage suicide incidents, higher number of search on stress or drinking and less fine dust particles. Third, the comparison of the results of the structural equation model analysis of search on suicide by adults and teenagers showed that teenagers were more likely to proceed from search on stress to search on sports, drinking and suicide, while adults significantly tended to move from search on drinking to search on suicide. Fourth, the result of the multilevel model analysis of determinants of search on suicide by teenagers showed that monthly teenagers suicide rate and average humidity had positive effect on the amount of search on suicide. Conclusions: The study shows that both adults and teenagers are influenced by various reasons to experience stress and search on suicide on the Internet. Therefore, we need to develop diverse school-level programs that can help relieve teenagers of stress and workplace-level programs to get rid of the work-related stress of adults.

Dentally disabled person means one who have difficulty in cooperating voluntarily with a dentist for routine dental care. Seoul National University Dental Hospital (SNUDH) Dental Clinic for Disabled has worked for them under outpatient anesthesia concept. The aim of this study was to determine the anesthetic characteristics of the patients attending for dental treatment at SNUDH Dental Clinic for Disabled in order to establish better future treatment plans. The data were drawn from the patients who visited SNUDH Dental Clinic for Disabled from January 1999 to October 2002. Total 93 dental treatments for 83 patients were enrolled in this study. Most patients had mental retardation and the conservative treatments were carried out under general anesthesia. Thiopental and vecuronium were mostly used for induction agent and neuromuscular blocker, respectively. Enflurane, with oxygen and nitrous oxide, was mostly used to maintain the anesthesia. Mean total anesthetic time was $164.4{\pm}57.2$ minutes and mean duration at the post-anesthetic care unit was $106.2{\pm}50.5$ min. Serious postoperative complications were not observed. These results showed our successful anesthetic outcomes without any severe side effect or complication and the needs of more outpatient centers for dental care for disabled.
This study examines die causal relationships among motivation to eat out, servicescape, customer satisfaction and repurchase intention in Seoul metropolitan area by conducting a survey to herbal food restaurant customers from January 20, 2010 to February 26, 2010. A total of 600 copies were distributed, and 522 copies were collected. Among them, except for 29 copies which were inadequate for analysis, 493 copies were analyzed by a factor analysis and reliability analysis using SPSS 12.0, and die research hypotheses were verified with a canonical correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results are as follows. First, there are relatively high correlations between such motivation for herbal food as the prevention of diseases, eco-friendly food, recipes, food calories and servicescape of functionality, safety, cleanliness, and accessibility. Second, die result of the multiple regression analysis between servicescape of herbal food and customer satisfaction shows that safety, cleanliness, and accessibility have significant effects on customer satisfaction. Third, customer satisfaction with herbal food has a positive effect on repurchase intention. Accordingly, useful suggestions are provided on the basis of these results.

Background: Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is related to high mortality and morbidity. There are no proven therapeutic measures however, to improve the clinical course of ARDS, except using low tidal volume ventilation. Metformin is known to have pleiotropic effects including anti-inflammatory activity. We hypothesized that pre-admission metformin might alter the progress of ARDS among intensive care unit (ICU) patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study from January 1, 2005, to April 30, 2005 of patients who were admitted to the medical ICU at Seoul National University Hospital because of ARDS, and reviewed ARDS patients with DM. Metformin use was defined as prescribed within 3-month pre-admission. Results: Of 558 patients diagnosed with ARDS, 128 (23.3%) patients had diabetes and 33 patients were treated with metformin monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic medications. Demographic characteristics, cause of ARDS, and comorbid conditions (except chronic kidney disease) were not different between metformin users and nonusers. Several severity indexes of ARDS were similar in both groups. The 30-day mortality was 42.42% in metformin users and 55.32% in metformin nonusers. On multivariable regression analysis, use of metformin was not significantly related to a reduced 30-day mortality (adjusted ${\beta}-coefficient$, -0.19; 95% confidence interval, -1.76 to 1.39; p=0.816). Propensity score-matched analyses showed similar results. Conclusion: Pre-admission metformin use was not associated with reduced 30-day mortality among ARDS patients with DM in our medical ICU.
Mortality suffered by the sea squirt in indoor experiment was higher at the stocking density of 12 kg than that at 3 and 6 kg. Daily mortality was also higher at 8 t:: thermal fluctuation than that at 3 and 5$^{\circ}C$. The thermal fluctuation observed at the depth of 5 m during June was higher, i.e. 7.4$^{\circ}C$ but it was just 2-4$^{\circ}C$ during mid-May. It did not fluctuate at all during the period from January to February. Mortality was higher at the stocking density of 12 kg during June than at 10 and 15 m depth.
Muscle stiffness, pain and discomfort in dally activities are cardinal symtoms on arthritis. To reduce these symtoms, a nonequivalent one-group pre & posttest experiment was carried out at a rural community health post area in Chonbuk province during eight weeks (from 25th of January to 20th of March, 1999). The subjects were sixteen rural old women(65-89yrs) with osteoarthritis. And to reduce the level of pain, discomfort in daily living and to increase that of life satisfaction, 30 minutes of flexibility exercise followed by $15{\sim}20\;minutes$ of local heat therapy were done three times a week. Pain scale from Arthritis Impact Measurement Scales developed by Meenan(1980) for pain, Jette's Daily Activity Discomfort Scales revised by Lee(1988) for discomfort and Life Satisfaction Scales developed by Youn(1982) for life satisfaction were used as research instruments. The data were collected by face-to-face interviews with Investigator and the experiments were done under demonstration and supervision of investigator in community health post. The data were analyzed in percentage and Wilcoxon sign rank sum test by SPSS/PC+ program. The result could be summarized as follows ; 1. The scores of experiment group who were applied hot bag followed by flexibility exercise were tended to be significant lower in the level of pain statistically(Z=4.949, P=0.0001). 2. The scores of experiment group who was applied hot bag followed by flexibility exercise were tended to be significant lower in the level of discomfort in daily living statistically(Z=2.7226, P=0.0279). 3. The scores of experiment group who was applied hot bag followed by flexibility exercise were tended to be higher in the level of life satisfaction, but there was no significant statistical difference(Z=-1.2087, P=0.2171). In conclusion, flexibility exercise with local heat therapy could be identified as an effective therapy to reduce pain and discomfort in daily living of the rural elderly with osteoarthritis. And as a community health practitioner, the investigator concluded that this exercise with local heat therapy could be developed as a health promotion program for the rural aged people.
Object:The goal of this study was to examine the changes in body weight and glucose levels of the patients treated with risperidone, clozapine or haloperidol in order to compare the effect of risperidone or clozapine with that of haloperidol. Methods:For nine months(January to September, 2003), a prospective study was performed in 60 patients with chronic schizophrenia who were in Seoul National Hospital. Two-week period was required for a drug wash-out. The patients were randomly assigned to risperidone, clozapine and haloperidol groups. They were given risperidone(n=20), clozapine(n=20) and haloperidol(n=20), respectively, everyday for 12 weeks. To examine the effects of these drugs on body weight and fasting glucose levels, we measured body weight and glucose levels of all the patients first without the drug treatment and at each end of 4, 8, and 12-week periods with the treatment. And we examined the differences among three groups in the changes of body weight and fasting glucose levels. Results:There were no significant differences in the changes of the body weight and fasting glucose levels between the atypical antipsychotics(risperidone or clozapine) and the typical antipsychotics(haloperidol). Conclusion:The study in the patients with chronic schizophrenia suggests that risperidone or clozapine do not cause any additional effects on body weight or glucose levels compared to haloperidol.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends of randomized controlled trials on herbal medicine treatment for atopic dermatitis in China for the last 5 years. We searched for randomized controlled trials with the intervention of herbal medicine for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in the CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) from January 2014 to December 2018. For the screening of the paper, we used '特应性皮炎' and '异位性皮炎' which mean atopic dermatitis and search was limited to three areas within Medicine & Public Health: Traditional Chinese Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicinal Herbs, Combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Western Medicine. Among the 136 searched studies, we selected a total of 34 studies and analyzed a year of publication, subject characteristics, study design and intervention, prescribed herbal medicine and herbs, pattern identification, evaluation criteria, and outcomes. Longmu decoction (龍牡湯) and Polia Sclerotium (茯笭) was the most frequently prescribed medicine and herb. The most commonly used pattern identification was Blood deficiency and Wind-dryness (血虛風燥), and among them, the most frequently prescribed herb is Rehmanniae Radix (生地黃). In most studies using the total effectiveness and SCORAD index as an outcome measure, the herbal medicine treatment group showed statistically better results than the control group. As a result of the safety assessment, the herbal medicine treatment group was reported having significantly fewer side effects compared to the control group. Hence, it was confirmed that the intervention including herbal medicine had a significant effect on atopic dermatitis. This study would be able to provide the basis of clinical research on atopic dermatitis and applied to the treatment of atopic dermatitis.
Objective : This study was conducted to determine various interventions in accordance with the recovery and cognitive processes in order to improve executive function in stroke patients through a systematic review. Methods : The literature search focused on Level I-IV studies published between January 1996 and April 2015 for 20 years in electronic databases(e.g. MEDLINE, SCOPUS, RISS). The keyword search terms were 'Stroke', 'Executive function', 'Executive function deficit', 'Occupational therapy', 'Rehabilitation', 'Remedial', 'Compensatory' and 'Education'. Result : A total of 13 articles were appraised using the hierarchy of levels of evidence-based practice and 6 Level I evidence articles, 1 Level II articles, 2 Level III articles and 4 Level IV articles. Each intervention improved executive function but was different in degree of generalization. Conclusion : Through this systematic review, we found that there are a variety of applied interventions improving executive function in stroke patients and are different in effect depending on methods of interventions. This study provided evidences to occupational therapists for the clinical practice of interventions to improve executive function in stroke patients.
This study is a descriptive research study to identify Unmet Dementia Information Needs (UDIN) for caregivers of dementia patients at Dementia Relief Center and to understand the effectiveness of the program for workers. The subjects were 114 caregivers and 217 practitioners from dementia relief centers in 25 autonomous districts of S city from November 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020. The UDIN questionnaire is a 7-point Likert scale. The Crisis Management Questionnaire is a Likert 5-point scale consisting of 10 questions from 6 categories. As a result of the study, the proportion of depressed caregivers experiencing UDIN was 12.3times higher than those who did not (p<.001). The program effectiveness was 8.98times better than those who perceived the lack of risk management as good (p=.004), and social workers were 2.81times better than nurses (p=.091). It is necessary to conduct interactive operations to meet the needs of the community residents by listening to their diverse opinions rather than simply implementing a one-sided policy to raise the service of a dementia relief center to the highest level in a short period of time.
